Sobald die Stängel knacken schneide ich die Buds runter und lege sie im Zelt in Pizzakartons damit sich die Feuchtigkeit gleichmäßig verteilt.

Main news of the week: we’re saying goodbye to #6. She went straight to compost. Sounds dramatic, I know. But honestly, it’s pretty simple: she wasn’t growing, had no real buds, smelled like wet coco — literally the same coco she was sitting in — and on top of that, she decided to go hermie. Well… happens. If it had been a worthy plant, I’d probably bother picking the nanners off and trying to save her. But this one was clearly some kind of outcast from the start. Plus, I still hadn’t tossed #1 and #2, and suddenly a proper pot spot under the light opened up. So #6 got chopped, and the little ones were moved into one pot. They had been living in 0.3L cups this whole time anyway. What else, what else… At the beginning of the week, I sprayed chitosan for the second and final time. For the next three weeks, the only real stress they should get is UV. Well, maybe the main light too, to some degree. It feels like there might be too much light… but also maybe not. I don’t see any clear downside yet, so I’ll keep it at full power for now. That’s 320W main light + 40W under-canopy light + 20W blue during peak hours. Development is steady. Bud sites are swelling, leaf tips are slightly burnt, so we’re clearly riding the edge here. Vertical stretch has basically stopped — maybe just a couple more centimeters added. That means irrigation-wise I’m switching back to a more vegetative strategy: keeping the substrate as wet as possible, with a small dryback of around 15%. Of course, every plant drinks differently, so it’s easier said than done. In reality, one sits closer to 10%, another one closer to 25%. The feed is almost unchanged in terms of EC and pH: EC 1.33 / pH 5.8. But potassium and phosphorus are slowly going up. That’s it for now. The fun part is still ahead. For now, we sit, rub our little paws together, and watch the buds get fat.

Middle 2 plants stretched a lot week 3 of flower. They were growing slower in veg so I flipped to flower as soon as their canopy reached the net (barely LST these 2 plants with the net given their slower growth). Then week 2-3 of flower they took off. Did some defoliating to expose bud sites further down with the intent to increase yeilds.

In a 3 gallon container, I mixed - pro mix organic vegetable + Worm casting + Sea compost + 450 ml ollas (blue one)

At 95 days from seed, 40 days into bloom, she is still drinking about 2 liters (1/2 gal) per day. I am noticing new pistils being made on buds that otherwise look 3 weeks away from being ready to harvest. They were mostly observed on the highest parts of the highest kolas. This is probably a sign of light stress as it only the parts closest to the light. As I noted, my canopy height isn't very uniform. There is 8-10" of difference between the top of my highest kola and the top of my lowest kola that I wouldn't consider popcorn bud. I raised the light up so it was 16" above the highest kola. This means that its 24" to the lowest. Before I raised up my light, it was probably less than 12" from it to the highest kola. Not ideal but that is the result of not using a SCROG screen and my less-than-perfect training. I think I was stressing the highest kolas with light that was too intense. I've seen pictures of seriously deformed kolas before and I'm not that bad yet. I hope the shape of my buds remains typical and new pistil creation stops or slows. The light was probably too close. I don't think I did serious, long-term damage. At 98 days from seed, 43 days into bloom, she is still drinking about 2 liters (1/2 gal) per day. Not much to report today. She is filling out and looks more and more frosty everyday. Her smell is mild but really nice. The breeder's description of her sweet fruity smell is spot on The buds that were not closest to the light are looking like they are a few weeks from harvest. The buds that were closest to the light still have the new pistils that don't look anywhere close to harvest. It is high summer so temps are slightly higher than I'd like but it is all working out acceptably. Not much to do but keep changing the reservoir, watching her put on weight and waiting.

So all my stuff arrived this week. Will be using fox farm ocean floor soil for this grow. I have blue dream going for this grow. My seeds are germinating and I don’t have pics of them from the paper towel and from when I first put them beneath to soil in the dixi cups. The soil I used was miracle grow bloom potting soil for my initial planting (now I know was probably not the best choice) but I actually noticed some great results to start with the grow. I’ll keep updating as I go and hope to get some great feed back and comments while I go along. Happy growing everyone.

7/2 Last week it was extremely hot (80's-90's) with cold nights. We had a severe thunderstorm last night and it's raining like crazy today. I didn't spend time in the garden as it was pouring. However I defoliated yesterday briefly. I had maybe a half dozen leaves yellow and die a couple days after the organicide application. They were mostly the largest oldest fan leaves most infected with pm. A couple smaller interior leaves yellowed and died as well but they were the leaves most infected. I assume that's normal. As I defoliated I noticed my first aphid of the season. I saw a few dead ones the organicide killed and a couple that were alive. Aphids aren't a big deal. They'll be evicted soon enough. I haven't seen one spot of pm though since the application. Maybe a little on a dead leaf but it seems to be working good. Didn't take pictures today but needed one to update the diary. Trying to upload videos but they take forever. 7/3 Ridiculously hot all last week. Extremely hot yesterday then a severe thunderstorm but it cleared to 90 degrees with 90%rh. This environment is a fungal nirvana. Still a slight smell from the organicide. I'm glad I used it though. I threw away some more leaves but this is the time that starts happening anyway. Before the stretch. With the ideal conditions I saw WPM rear it's head again. Only this time the organicide seemed to still have a residue. The PM only infected the super old biggest fan leaves and a few tiny tiny leaves on the very interior of the plant. I didn't know I had aphids but I've found a few dead on the underside of leaves I defoliated. So it seems to be working. My plants are growing towards the sun (partially due to my tarps which I need to be legal) which make airflow harder to maintain. My dad gave away my pallets this year. I had planned to put bags and supports on pallets with some sort of wheel so I could spin them. Oh well I'll do that next year in my new location. I have also found moth holes in couple leaves so BT it will still be needed. If videos didn't take so long to upload I would have a bunch. Happy growing. 7/5 Watered lightly (as it had been 90's) before feeding three gallons to the garden. Noticed some telltale leafhopper signs on a 9lb kush. The organicide seems to be doing a decent job of keeping PM at bay. The blueberry is now the worst it seems. I'm planning on another application before I try anything heavier. The fishy smell is now totally gone. Plants seem healthy and are a nice dark green. I have had some problems that have effected my ability to fully care for my girls. I have some defoliation I need to do. I also see moths sometimes in the morning plus the pm and the random munch. I guess that's to be expected outside but I need to get on top of this shit. I also have more LST I could be doing. 7/6 Rained all night and still off and on. Can't see any pm but I've found a few spots on the blueberry that could be septoria. I'm going to hit them either tonight or tomorrow with the organicide and if it doesn't work I may try a sulfer based fungacide. Took a few pictures. I need to defoliate as well. 7/7 Uploaded some duplicate pics accidentally. If I could've created the perfect environment for fungal infections I don't think I could've done better than yesterday. Hence the organicide. I was surprised it wasn't pronounced and only a little here and there. Also saw leaf hopper and pillar damage so hopefully this will straighten that out. Blueberry seems weak in it's stalk. I'm not sure if the wind is blowing it against that hard metal circle around it. It may have septoria. If it does I'll have to switch to something different or junk the plant. 7/8 This sucks. I can see signs of leaf septoria on the GDPs. This is definitely not a strain for the Maine climate. It's not resilient enough against diseases. This year has been particularly bad with 40 degree temp swings and rain then bright hot sun. I couldn't engineer better conditions. I appears senescence starts at the same time looking back over the past four years. However maybe that's just the life cycle of the earwigs. Oh yeah. I raked the inside of the grow bag with my hand and AT LEAST a half dozen earwigs came out RIGHT FROM THE SOIL IN THE BAG. I dealt with these prehistoric bastards last year and lost half my harvest. They eat other insects but the spread disease like crazy and they DO eat your plant while leaving behind the worst bacteria and plant disease. I have research to do. Like I said. This sucks. I'm changing locations next year but I need some help dealing with the septoria and the earwigs or I'll be fucked again. I defoliated anything that looked suspect. Still need to improve airflow.

10-1 Day 2 week 2 flower Everyone else was over fed and burns and ahes no different!😱 8k something ppm, flush, now 850 ppm. 😱 Little too much. Ph 7.3. little high. Early flower, so maybe be ok. 10-5 Water 500ml yucca val/mag and .2 ml epson per liter. Slight defol. 10-6 1/4 cup poo, 3 tbs buildaflower, scoop connect. .

FBT2308 is growing great under the Medic grow Mini Sun-2 in the Agrogardens nutrition. She has huge leaves, and is starting to stack her colas now. It is looking like she wants to produce a lot of flower from the pistils forming. I add more nutrition when I added water. Possibly help curb the minor issues on bottom leaves up from spreading. She had some selective defoliation around center to let more light, and air in. She us looking great. Thank you Medic Grow. Día 36. Estamos en 6ta semana. Los esquejes se atrasaron debido a que han sido días muy fríos y no he logrado enraizarlos. Decidí poner el extractor de aire junto con la bomba de aire, así solamente se prende 15 minutos cada hora. Así estoy logrando temperaturas mayores a 24°C en el indoor y así voy a lograr el enraizado. La planta ya tiene un tamaño que ocupa casi todo el indoor. Pero lo importante es que la voy guiando y ya estoy proyectando como va a ir cada rama. El tamaño va a exceder lo que esperaba, pero aún así creo que si logro lo que tengo en mente, voy a sacar muy buenos resultados. Igual no me voy a arriesgar demasiado, así que si contando 10 días desde ahora, no logro que los esquejes enraicen, voy a pasar la madre a floración sola. Cómo pueden ver, las ramas están bastante gruesas, y el la ramificaciones van ganando su lugar cada una. Las raíces son demasiado grandes, aunque sé que voy a poder poner la planta en el sistema de arriba igual, aunque me voy a tener que ayudar de algo para meterlas. Es importante no utilizar las manos, ya que se pueden transmitir muchos hongos. Voy a seguir actualizando e ir viendo que pasa. Pero ya estamos en los últimos días de crecimiento, haya o no esquejes. Incluso puede que ya pase la planta al indoor de arriba para darle mayor libertad de crecimiento. Esto me va a servir para tlmar en cuenta en la próxima camada que se vendrá. La idea de esto es hacer las cosas rápido, y no en gran tamaño. Pero siendo que ya estoy en el baile, no me queda otra que bailar. Día 40 Los esquejes no estaban enraizando, así que decidí cambiarlos de lugar y los puse arriba de la luz, donde les da calor y luz tenue. Espero que ahora si agarren. Y hoy fue el gran día, pasé la planta madre al módulo de arriba. Pero lo voy a dejar una semana más creciendo. De esa forma veo si los esquejes llegan a agarrar a tiempo. Y además tuve un problema en el trasplante. Primero que la planta se hizo más grande que lo esperado, y la raíz también. Cuando la pasé, hubo contacto de la raiz con prácticamente todo lo que había cerca. Sumado a que se enredó en el oxigenador, así que quedó una pidra difusora en la raíz. Dado el alto riesgo de haberla contaminado con algún hongo, le puse una solución de agua con agua oxigenada, recirculando continuamente, para lavar las raices y de paso bajar el stress de teansplante. Mañana veremos cómo arranca el día. En el aprendizaje me llevo que en la madre, es mejor hacer un corte en el primer nudo, o dejar las ramas del segundo y quitar las del primero. Y así que queden sólo dos ramas, para luego dejar a los esquejes en el medio. Eso planeo hacer con la próxima variedad. Entre tanto ahora sólo me preocupa que la raíz no se haya contaminado en el traspaso. Ya en 8 días estaré pasando a floración si no hay esquejes. Si llegan a agarrar, habrá que dar unos días de crecimiento hasta que alcancen a la madre en altura. Pero ya está todo en definición. Ahora sólo queda esperar y seguir guiando a la planta. Ya tengo ganas de poner la próxima, pero falta bastante para eso. Tengo 10 semanas de flora, así que recién en 5 semanas voy a poner la nueva madre.

Things (finally) started to stink this week. Started the flush on Tuesday, hoping next Thursday will be the day I shut the lights off on her and Friday will be harvest day! About 50% of the trichomes are cloudy at this point, so the original 84 day timeline seems pretty accurate!
