It is harvest day for Miss Sweet Skunk. Due to the excessive rain this week and two places of bud rot, Mother Nature forced me to take her down. 2 more weeks would have been nice but that didn't happen. If you have been following me then you know that Miss Sweet Skunk encountered a terrible misfortune. It hailed one evening and one of her two colas was broken. My husband found her damage first and taped her up and then put a wire tie around her. According to the grow diary question/answer platform, I was able to learn that we had done the right thing and changes were good that she would recover from her injury. Not only did Sweet Skunk recover, but she went onto growing at a height of 2 feet, 11 inches. That is just under 100 cm. According to Royal Queen website, "Sweet Skunk Auto seeds produce plants that grow to a very manageable height of around 60–100cm." AND even though Sweet Skunk had a broken stem, she GREW! This plant was a very tall and lanky plant. Her buds are plentiful but started out quite small. I wish I had another couple of weeks to see her reach her full potential, but that is left for another grow. For now, I am happy she survived all the weather that Mother Nature threw at her this week and it is a good day:) **The last two pictures are pictures of my indoor grow of Sweet Skunk that I did NOT record on grow diaries. However, it is a great way to compare an outdoor grow and indoor grow of the same strain. Stay turned for weigh ins.

So she’s a week into flush with only about 10% amber trichomes so has a few more days yet. The bud size isn’t moving but the density of the buds has definitely increased. Let me know what you think. 🙌🏼🙌🏼

Flowers are developing nicely but slowly. Very few feeder leaves are turning yellow yet. I saw some webs between one of her branches and Lemon Cake. So I sprayed them with alcohol and burned some leaves. She and L. Cake have the same dense bushy structur. The buds are tight to the stems which traps humidity and moisture. Inviting pests and fungus.

WEEK 8 (DAY50-56) This week, my beloved Dos-si-dos have put on a good amount of bulk. Due to the very small pots in the SOG setup and the aggressive mainlining, the plants have taken on quite a bonsai-like appearance. The stretch is still ongoing, but I don't think it plays a major role here. Otherwise, all the plants have developed beautiful, even shoots that are already fully covered with young, delicate buds. The stems of the plants have already reached over 15mm in thickness, which I find quite impressive for their size. Essentially, one could say that Dos-si-dos grow quickly and in a very compact manner. Starting this week, I have supplemented the fertilization schedule with Green Sensation from Plagron, which I now use about once or twice a week. Additionally, I have adjusted my lamp upwards again. On average, I now have a light intensity of approximately 700 PPFD, which, over a 20-hour period, results in a DLI of around 55. I try to keep the humidity consistently below 60%. The next few weeks will be interesting with this strain. I believe the plants will ultimately look quite peculiar due to their small stature but productive growth. Apr 20: They hanging out at 65% rh and 65F.. Going for 7-10 day dry… No wet trim, cut plants in half and hung… Very happy with density and resin production… Can’t wait to jar and test in 2-3 weeks… I feel comfortable with this strain, I think it’s time to move on… Really wanna run some Mephisto seeds….

This week was good. Its been a week since I made the flip..the ladies are already starting their stretch. Pistils are showing up all over the ladies, which is a good sign of stable genetics being that I used feminized seeds. Right now I am giving them the transition stage feeding schedule. This will be my 1st time using bloom booster, I intend to start adding kool bloom to the feedings this week. Also I increased the intensity of the grow light to 100% Yesterday. Easy,fast,fat,dense,stinky,sticky and absolutely tasty. These were 2 clones I took at the middle of flowering and the only retreat or issues I had is I wish I would have vegged these two clones at least 3 weeks more. Dos si Dos 33 from Barney's Farm is one the most beautiful strains to look at. !!!!

Day 1 to 3 was a battle with very high humidity

~ FASTBUDS TESTER #2201 ~ Well friends, here we go on another 'canna-venture' together! The grow room has had a complete remodel and some upgrades done to it including brand spanking new 4x8 and 4x4 tents and a Trolmaster Hydro X controller along with a new Control Panel. This tester strain is one of six tester strains that FastBuds has graciously provided me with and I'm looking forward to seeing what this girl has to offer when she's grown to her full potential! One drawback of 'testers' is I have little to no information on it other than its number and that it's an autoflower... 🤪 But, it's ALWAYS a blast growing them for me because not knowing a lot allows me to just concentrate on the essentials: Light, Environment, Water, Nutrients and possibly a bit of LST... not complicated, just basics like keeping a constant temperature and RH in the tent at a level that gives a good VPD, watering when almost dry and maintaining proper light levels according to their stage of growth. ____________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________ ~THE SETUP~ ~Initially seeds were lightly scuffed, then soaked for 3 hours in 78℉ distilled water after which they were transferred to moist paper towels laid out in a Jiffy Pellet plastic starter tray with lid. Underneath the tray was placed a Mars Hydro Heat Mat with Controller that was set to 78℉ where they stayed until their tap roots emerged. ~Planted into Jiffy Peat Pellets that were hydrated with distilled water warmed to 78℉ with a 7.0 ph. ~Once roots emerge from the Jiffy Pellet they're transferred to their fabric pots. ~Grown 100% organic in a 4g Gronest fabric pot and a 3g fabric pot by Wraxly filled with Mother Earth 70/30 Coco/Perlite medium and initially amended with Dr. Earth 4-4-4 / Earthworm Castings / Dr. Earth Flower Girl 3-9-4 and Coast of Maine Stonington Blend Organic Plant Food 5-2-4. ~19/5 light cycle for the entire run with supplemental UVA added during flower. Lights are controlled by a Trolmaster Hydro X controller set for a 15min Sunrise/Sunset simulation. ~Top dressing every 3-4 weeks with slow release dry amendments and Earthworm castings. ~Straight water ph'd @ 6.2-6.8 when needed and bi-weekly Compost Tea's. ____________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________ Weekly Updates: 1/19- Here we go into Week Four of flower and these testers are ON FIRE!🔥🔥🔥 Both testers are in a flower frenzy and are ready to eat! Today I gave both girls their last top dressing with Down To Earth 4-8-4 Flower Mix at a ratio of 2tbsp/g and Coast of Maine's Stonington Blend 5-2-4 Organic Plant Food at a ratio of 1tbsp/g which I simplified by using 1/3 cup of the 4-8-4 and 1/4 cup of the 5-2-4 in the 4g pot and 3/8 cup of 4-8-4 and 1/8 cup of the 5-2-4 in the 3g pot. After working the amendments into the medium, I watered it in with 1g of straight de-chlorinated water ph'd to 6.6 @ 74℉. It will take a week for the microbes to begin breaking it down and will last for 3-4 weeks after that which should coincide with them finishing up, or close to it, enabling them to naturally 'flush' themselves out. I've also increased the power to the HLG 650R's the the Trolmaster Hydro X Controller to 75% which has them pulling 990w at the wall and have them hung 32" above canopy. I also starting adding in 4 hours of UVA during the middle of the light cycle for the remainder of flower. I've been monitoring their leaf temperatures and they're running 71-73℉ which is perfect! I have the AutoPilot APC8200 co2 Controller set to 1100ppm with a 100ppm window and the AC Infinity Cloudline T6 controller set to maintain a 74℉ temperature in the tent while the lights are on. 1/21- I'm watering her daily with straight de-chlorinated water ph'd it to 6.6 @ 74℉ and she stays in a perpetual state of 'praying'.... a VERY happy girl she is! 1/23- I watered/fed today with 0.75g of de-chlorinated water with GreenGro's Natures Brix, Granular Myco and Flower Finisher mixed in, after which I added 1 tsp/g of unsulfured molasses and then ph'd it to 6.6 @ 74℉. 1/25- Daily watering continued today with 0.75g of straight de-chlorinated water ph'd to 6.6 @ 74℉. She's looking fantastic and I'm really looking forward to Week Five of flower where she should really start to strut her stuff! 😍💚 😎💚 Thank you for checking out my passion in life! I probably won't grow this strain again, just due to the growing difficulties, short lifespan, and low yield, although the bud is definitely quality. I learned a lot as this was my first grow, and the next I'm hoping for better yield quantities.

Day 8 18/10/24 Friday I have removed the domes, it was getting a little too humid without having a opening hole. I gave them all another light watering only using de-chlorinated tap water pH 6. 300ml Day 9 19/10/24 Saturday Just a light spray twice a day. De-chlorinated tap water pH 6 with calmag 3ml-5L. Day 10 20/10/24 Sunday Started a small feed today, only 1ml of each listed advanced nutrients to 5L. Feed 300ml. Noticed that I must have sprayed too early too lights being on as this has burnt her first true leaves 🤦‍♂️ and stunted this week's growth. Picture update with video 📸 💚 Day 11 21/10/24 Monday A light spray de-chlorinated tap water pH 6 only. Done this soon as lights went off. She already is showing tiny new leaf growth... We back in the game 🙌💚
