Harvest: Everything dried up to 347 grams + 96 grams of super high quality trim. Overall I am not too pleased with the smoke of the product. Although the bud size, bag appeal, smell and taste are pretty much all there, the shitty burn is a deal breaker for me and the majority of this weed is quite frankly useless. Another downside is while smoking I’ve found 4 seeds in an ounce from almost every strain. Light leaks? At least I learned a ton, including how to get super good burn for my next crop. I’m hoping that curing for a month or so will improve the burn but I wouldn’t really count on it. I have seen weed dried for 4 days with no cure and no flush smoke clean and not go out once. I have been told that the key to white ashes/clean burn is proper mineral content in the soil and there is tons of scientific studies on cigar ash going back 100 years. Plants grown in a medium with high levels of decomposing organic matter, phosphorus, magnesium, chlorine and heavy metal ratio tend to produce black/grey ash. Whereas plants grown in a medium with a higher ratio of trace minerals like calcium carbonate and potassium in the form of wood ash, rock dusts, oyster shell flour and lower levels of decomposing organic matter will produce a dense, uniform white ash that rarely goes out. But this is still all theory until I test it to confirm for myself a few times. My last few outdoor harvests did not improve with curing at all so I’m hoping this will be the missing link. Plain peat moss and coco clearly lack essential minerals that help burn. If said theory is correct I should find a synthetic nutrient line with more trace minerals. Makes me wonder if growing if rockwool/basalt rock could improve burn in a hydro setup. I think I did a fairly decent job for my first grow. I went wrong in a million different places but I still stuck it out and got some decent herb. Things went wrong early when I got black spot mold, nitrogen/magnesium deficiencies and powdery mildew. I corrected most of it but things didn’t get really bad until mid veg when I intentionally skipped a few feedings and defoliated quite heavily stunting the plants. I also didn’t even top or start LST until the 6-9th node which was really stupid and hurt my yield. My temperatures were all over the place from the learning curve. I was severely overwatering without realizing it. 100% peat moss is a shitty medium. I also fed way too late in flower (not what caused shitty burn). I also used synthetic nutrients in soil. Die Buds werden größer und fester, so langsam fangen die Ladies ordentlich an zu riechen

Defoliated some leaves to let light in, chopped one down early as I run out of bud 🙄 it's good for less than 4 weeks flowering. Have them rice water starch again this week in with there food. A layer of frost is slowly forming 😎 hopefully they will fatten up nice and frost up really good to 🤞

Harvest day for this girl!!! Only 50g dry but it could have been much worse had I not scraped 2" of the depleted soil she was in and replaced with fresh compost in week 3. This has actually been a turning point in my growing and learning. She is a fab high sativa strain. Very frosty.

Brutal nuggets, you can see those diamonds shining, very compact, sticky, full of trichomes and a beautiful fragrance, I've enjoyed this strain so much guys, very special, I can recommend this strain if you want top quality fast!

Probably the most amazing week so far. Plants are showing some exceptional growing rate and first full scent apeared. Simple and steady week regarding feeding. Did 3 days and 500ml per time. Had about 10% runoff with 6,2ph. Till only 3 days ago decided not to top the plants. Since it is the first grow I don’t want to go too complex. And it seems that a good LST will do the work. Found out a way how to tie them down without drilling the holes. Will check how it performs over time. My youngest one is in good week 2. Still keeping it under a 5l plastic water bucket. Slow but strong grow. Turned both my lights to 61%. They seem pretty happy about it as the grow is eye-visible each day.

So week 8 was definitely a trying one. I was coming off of not only being behind on food from a couple weeks back, but also having a soil pH problem at same time. So I fed them a couple weeks back, found the pH issue and flushed with proper pH water. However, some of the damage and deficiency signs were still hanging around. I decided to give them each a top dressing of 6 tbsp's of 2-8-4 power bloom, in case I washed a lot out during the flush. At the same time, continuing to water at a lower pH of 6.0-6.5 to encourage my soil to go back to an optimal level. On the soil pH tester they are all sitting from 6.6-6.8 pH currently. Which was a lot better than the 7+ I found during the issue. These girls are growing big and are constantly hungry for water and nutrients. The amount of leaves on this strain was quite impressive. On that note, I had to do a lot of defoliation at the end of week 8. Hoping to encourage longer bigger colas and allowing light to penetrate to lower canopy. Plan is to keep watering when dry, adjust LST as the weeks go along, and defoliate where necessary. I do apologize to Dutch Passion, as I feel I've done them a disservice with my issues this time around. So if the result of this strain from me is sub par, it would not be the strain at this point. But I will continue to do my best to make a good result!👊 Happy growing! P.S. forgot I named them to track their health. Big Red, Stubby and Corona Virus. Big Red is largest but has red stems and leaf discoloration. Corona Virus is like Big Red but more leaf issues and Stubby is shortest one but by far healthiest so far.
