Week 4

This week been quite busy. I had to be very careful to my bending clips, because I had left them too long on some branches and they were very hard to take off without breaking everything. It was very stressy for everyone in this story...but i manager to limit the damages and took off all of them. The final result is not bad, i think they are having a good shape, even if it is still quite a job to maintain all those branches They are very strong, and making nice big leaves. I had to defoliate them, but i don't want to do it too much, not so easy to judge. They are now flowering and look healthy, will increase a bit their cocktail this next week. I've started to give them 4 hours of night time this week, will see if that got an effect. Feel free to let me know what u think about it.

This is day 79 from seed,I will admit I have messed up and done some pretty cool things with this grow on my own terms.I just need some guidance on current status of growth referring to harvest,I need some advice on how long she has left before I should harvest her She is a beautiful plant.

I'm noticing that some of the plans are growing at different rates and so the ones who are growing slower probably experience more trauma during transplant is my only guess. I've been reading more about the temperature of the water so I am focusing on that but the thermometer I got doesn't read the best so I'm going to get a new one here soon. For now I'm trying to stick between cool and lukewarm water to the touch.

Da oltre venti anni che coltivo e sono sempre più felice della qualità proposta da queste magnifiche banche semi! Complimenti di cuore a chi ha selezionato e creato queste varietà autofiorenti. Crescono rapidamente,resistono agli afidi e alcune sfiorano il metro di altezza, tutte insieme sembrano una mini foresta! Iniziano a fiorire gradualmente ed essendo molto diramate tutte è spettacolare nel vederle! Appare la prima resina e sono in ottima salute. Sono felice fino ad adesso perché se guardate foto e video vi rendete conto che qui nel centro Italia in outdoor biologico abbiamo il migliore clima che si possa desiderare anche se questo 2023 fino a metà maggio ha piovuto tantissimo e ci sono stati sbalzi di temperatura, ciò non è stato un problema per queste varietà così forti e abbondanti! Adesso la magia è iniziata, il caldo è arrivato e non vedo l'ora di vederle piene di infiorescenze tutte! Si procede felicemente, un abbraccio a tutti!

So this is the Tear Down week. The timing of it makes it so i will need to the harvest flag in a few days when I can weight and test the plants. I have included the Cleaning, and Cutting and some Root Porn. I will make the harvest post in about 4-5 days, when I can trim these plants. There is a lot of Plant here. I got way more than I was expecting. I don't have a scale that measure this amount of plant, without taking like 10 measurements and then adding them together. So I will just be posting the dry weight. I will post the wet weight as dry weight * 1.65. Autopots: Wow, what a great product. I have been blown away by how well and how easy it was to work with them. They really did solve the watering issues. Excellent product. If you are a beginner, start with Autopots. -= Lessons Learnt =- - Overdrive the air to your Autopots. In my control plant, I used a small rectangle air stone (instead of a standard air dome). This lead to root rot and some other issues, it also put significantly less air into the water. The root rot, give the material for the Brown Algae to grow. Using a huge Air-disc-Air-Stone would be an excellent combo to mix in with the air dome itself. Something like this: https://www.amazon.ca/Pawfly-Diffuser-Suction-Hydroponics-Aquarium/dp/B01MY3AQ33 at the bottom and the air-dome on top of it, will be what I do with my next experiment. - Air stone in the reservoir. I had two instances where algae grew into the res. An air stone would have helped. It would have also helped my control plant get less root rot. Given the amount that the air-domes and air sources got engulfed, having the water have more o2 in it would have only been beneficial. - Don't grow 6 plants in a 4x4. Since my control plant was about 1/8th the size of the others, I think I could have grown 5 in the shape of a 5 (on a 6 sided dice)⚄ This placement would give a much more spaced canopy for airflow and more importantly light. The sides of some of the plants were lighter green and produced larf due to lack of light penetration. - This tent was on 19-5 schedule. This worked out very well for this strain. After every lights on, they were in the praying position, so this strain was able to recover in that 5hrs off. If I had more seeds, I would run these again, and try 20-4. I think this strain could handle it. All for all, I think I'm going to 19-5 as my default timing. This kept up a solid DLI. - Staring at .9EC (really .7 EC cause my water here is .2 EC) Then bumping up at .1 a week, until 1.6EC worked out VERY well. I experimented on this crop all the way up to 1.9EC, which burnt the tips of this plant. I think if I did this strain again, I would do 1.6EC until 3-4 weeks left then crank it to 1.9. It did plump them up when I went to 1.9, however it left them looking rough. Bulk was added though. - Sticking to 6.0PH for all of veg, and 2 weeks into flower worked great. The plant had solid and consistent color and leaf shape . The plant's did get hurt, due to some issues (as noted on the weeks). I switched to 6.5 PH in the last 3-4 weeks and it helped them recover, and plump up noticeably. -VPD. The #1 thing I focused on was VPD. I keep it .9kpa range, as best as humanly possible. It was honestly, HUGELY noticeable compared to my other grows. I know truly understand the value of properly dialed in VPD. This is the one lesson that will stick with me forever. - Super-cropping: On the plants I give the chiropractic treatment too, had much thicker stems as much larger channel internally. I did this treatment to 4 of the 6, and the 4 that had it done has larger buds and recovered from defoliation faster. TLDR; VPD is king. Super-cropping is worth the time. Keeping PH and EC dialed in were all wins. Autopots kick ass.

Week 10 - Second Week of Flowering 🌸 As week two of flowering begins, the garden’s growth is unstoppable! These ladies are thriving, stretching up while staying beautifully vibrant and green. Every inch of this tent is optimized—each plant is soaking up light, nutrients, and water precisely as they need, filling the room with energy. Room Conditions 🌡️ • Temperature: 27.3°C • Humidity: 62.6% • CO₂ Levels: 800 ppm • VPD: 1.36 kPa (excellent range for robust flowering) • Lighting Intensity: 818 PPFD Solution & Medium 💧 • Solution Temp: 21.5°C | TDS: 470 ppm | pH: 6.02 • Medium: Moisture 100% (recently dried to 67%), TDS 510 ppm, Temp 22.5°C The “dry-out” to 67% was a strategic move, helping boost nutrient uptake and root strength. Meanwhile, our slight increase in reds seems to be having the desired effect, nudging these ladies further along in the flowering process. Eye Safety & LED Lighting 🌞🕶️ With powerful LED systems like the ThinkGrow and ICL-300, eye protection is critical. LED grow lights emit high-intensity light across the full spectrum, including intense UV and infrared components that are not easily detected by the human eye. Day 51 - The switch to RO water has made the world of difference in DWC. Definitely don't over look water quality if you grow in any type of hydroponic set up. But the girls seem to be taking off, they smell so gassy and sweet, real strong aromas. Hard dense nugs which i know will continue to fatten up (the RO water change has allowed me to run a lower EC of around 0.8 and the pH has been super stable at around 5.7 i like a rise and dont mind it going up a little bit its been fine since using RO) The buds have got loads of colours coming through and I'm excited to see how the end result turns out. I think this will go 9 weeks (63 Days if im not mistaken) if needed ill let her go longer but we shall see. Day 55 - Girls are getting on well, slowly tapering the nutrients down letting the girls drink and eat. EC is at about 0.8. Won't go higher than that until harvest now, most likely. Leafs are turning a purple/black colour from the colder night temps. Buds are gettibg harder and thicker by the day. Will be feeding right up until a few days before harvest. Then a flush for 3-5 days with just RO water. Still about 7-10 days left.. maybe even 14 depending on what the trichomes are telling me. Stay tuned for the next one. Flavours

In this week, the only concern and things I monitor daily are the temperature and humidity. Temperature should always be around 20C-23C, while humidity should be around 60-70%. No nutrients is given to the plant just balance ph of water (6.5) if the top soil is dry.

Just been feeding her water once a week..she continues to swell I will give her some molasses one for the road and just water until week 8.

I cut another part of the girls, and the total is even greater than the first part! We wait another week for the final sums, but right now the flavor is unique.

Update; February 14th, 2023. From the moment I flipped to flower, they’ve been exploding with growth! They are super healthy! They grow back and fill in so fast after defoliating, no matter how heavy I go. I’ve added the supplemental lighting (Viparspectra 600) this week to really get the most I can. Figuring out a way to mount it higher.

Another good week done. Increased feeding to near on 1000ppm Wanted to do things differently with these to try and get the most out of them, so I am and will be feeding every time they are watered where as before I was alternating PH water with feeding every other day. No sign of starting flower yet so could potentially be a long Veg auto or I could be mis sold photoperiod plants. Should know more next week. I have seen some are 5 week veg so not too fussed at the moment. Humidity is high in the tent at the minute and that’s because I forgot to empty the dehumidifier and the damp outside weather was no help either, it tends to stick to 45%-55% See you again next week
