Trichomes: The Frosty Frontier This week, the focus is all about those frosty beauties! • Trichomes are the key indicators of ripeness and cannabinoid production. Watching their progression from clear to cloudy to amber provides the ultimate insight into maturity. • Currently, we’re seeing a fantastic mix of cloudy trichomes with some clear still hanging around – a perfect sign that they’re gearing up for their final push. • Fun fact: Trichomes serve as the plant’s natural defense mechanism, protecting it from UV rays and pests while being our treasure trove for cannabinoids and terpenes. Spectrum Tuning: The Science of Light Light plays a major role in shaping the maturation process, and this week, we’ve dialed in the spectrum for optimal results. Lighting Power: • Lower layer at 800 PPFD and the upper layer shining bright at 1500 PPFD. The canopy coverage is perfect for even development throughout the garden. 8/26 she started showing flower. She has been looking very happy. Her leaves pointing high. Since I have been feeding her more her color has been looking much better. Her green is darker then it has ever been. 9/9 Fed 8 tablespoons Foxfarm Big Bloom 28 MLs Foxfarm Tiger Bloom. 9/11 Gave her a little rice water and regular water. Cloudy and some rain today. Also she is starting to smell from a distance. 9/12 4 tablespoons Foxfarm Big Bloom 12 MLs Foxfarm Tiger Bloom. Couple of cloudy days, so only 1 gallon. 9/15 Fed 1.25 teaspoons of Foxfarm Beasti Bloom. She is not growing anymore and working on her bud. So this is her first week of Beasti Bloom. She seems to be budding ok, don't have anything to compare her to. The way I trained her, she is almost all tops. She is greener than she has ever been before. Also a couple of the lower leaves that where fading a bit. The tips look are browning. The leaves where already fading, so I'm not sure if it's a little nuit burn. None of the top and newer growth leaves have any issues. Still I am going to cut back on the nuits a little. This strain is supposed to be a heavy feeder. So I'm going to cut back, but just a little. Probably drop it down to 2 feedings a week. Very nervous about this part of the grow. My autoflower grows were poor genetics. So I am counting on this plant to hold me over for the winter and even spring. Her leaves are a solid green. So I think she is good on N, so I'm thinking maybe this week I should switch over to the Foxfarm Beasti Bloom. Make sure she is solid with P and K.

Week 8 Day 49 to harvest P1 harvest was flower day 53 - total wet weight was 24oz and the stem base accounted for 8.0oz, so about 16oz set to dry. I fed P1 half nute flush water again this week. Feed this week was 1.25 gallons 1 time. I used 400ppm Bloom concentrate mix (recipe week 5). However, I also added .5ml/gal of CaliMagic (General Hydroponics 1-0-0) and 7ml of Roots Organics HP2 (Aurora Innovations 0-4-0). PH balance this week was 6.3. And then cut her down 4 days later. P2 harvest was flower day 49 - total wet weight was 16.3oz and the stem base accounted for 6.4oz so about 9.9oz set to dry. (reminder that P2 was the test plant where I broke the main stem and later another later topping from an off branch already topped.) The test resulted in smaller colas in the later topping and the first topping break recovered surprisingly well with colas equal to the biggest. However the later break after the last topping resulted in the smallest cola. This tells me that any damage survived early can see a full recovery but later ones may cost yield. Since P2 looked mostly ready to harvest I decided to dry out after the first feed this week. I will update with cure and smoke details later.

1/12: lots more leaf tucking today. She's taking waterings like a champ. I'm always so worried about overwatering but she seems to be growing well 1/14: did a little more lst, so she's looking a little bit like an ugly duckling. Hoping the effort plays out. Attempted to adjust some clips and accidentally broke a stem. I splinted that up with some tape... Also my attempt at a fim is growing out... She's looking a little rough right now, but honestly, aren't we all? 1/15: watered and some leaf tucking this morning. Excited for the top to not look like a hot mess! 1/17: the ugly duckling phase is strong with this one. Gave her a good watering today and attempted some leaf tucking, only sacrificing one fan leaf.

The thrips infection is gone but there’re still a lot of damaged leafs as you can see in the photos/videos, but the growth hasn’t slowed down which is good. Anyway after I did some research into the big bang strain I found out that the company that sells this strain recommends “flushing” for a few days every other week starting from day 16 of flowering. This is meant to speed up bud development and I think it really did something here as the buds got twice as big. But I didn’t exactly follow their recommendations as it calls for watering the plants with large amounts of water and letting the soil dry for a few days and I don’t feel comfortable with that, so I watered them every day but made sure the soil was dry.

This lady tends to stay small, but the she has quite a explosive veg time. She will not grow tall but she will produce many side branches that will continue side branches. There for the plants can be very leafy, and will produce unnecessary shadow that will block the canopy. Due to blocking of the canopy after the 5 first CM high chance useless pop corn bud will develop. So with this strain it is very important to train her wel and make sure the light can penetrate the lower branches aswel, if you want to have enjoyable sweet dense buds all of the plant and branches. Have a good grow!

420FASTBUDS FBT2107 WEEK 6 These two beautiful ladies are growing great. Staying on the shorter side but very bushy and healthy from the looks of it. It's been super cold so they have hung in there when temps have dropped lower than I would've liked. Fixed the issue by adding an oil heater in the tent so far so good. Only have snow in the forcast for the next week or so then it should warm back up a little. Kept the same feeding they've responded well to it. All in all Happy Growing

Had some crazy root growth this week and have put the girls in their final 11L pots already. They became rootbound in their last pots within 5 days of being potted up and started showing rootbound behaviour such as spots on leaves and droopy behaviour, also soil was drying out super fast. At first I was panicking about leaf septoria, had that before :/. Only when i checked the roots that I confirmed it was cos they were rootbound. I'm hoping this isn't an issue within the grow bags. I've never really played around with potting up before as mainly grown autos until now. Topped the girls a few days ago and have done some LST today to spread them ready for the scrog.
