Eternity Grow Cup - Week 11 VEG Report This is a pivotal week in our Eternity Grow Cup journey as we wrap up VEG and prepare to transition into FLOWER. Our goal has been to ensure that the plants are thriving and optimized for the next phase. This report will detail everything that took place during this crucial week. Mass Defoliation & Structural Training We began the week with an extensive defoliation session. Every leaf with a stem was removed to clear space for optimal light penetration and airflow. This process was done mostly by hand, clicking them off in the opposite direction of growth, while some stubborn ones were snipped with scissors. By the end, it felt like we had taken out nearly half a kilo of leaves! The room now looks clean, structured, and ready to fill out the ScroggNet. To further enhance the plant structure, branches were attached to the pots, allowing for better horizontal growth. This technique helps maximize canopy exposure and prepares the plants for even light distribution once flowering begins. Defoliation before flowering is a key step as it reduces overcrowding, improves airflow, and sets the plants up for efficient energy use in the next phase. Light Schedule & Adjustments This week, we introduced a subtle but effective light adjustment. While still maintaining an 18-hour light cycle, we initiated a 15-minute delay with the whites, allowing the reds to start first. This gradual shift signals the plants that a change is coming. Similarly, at the end of the light cycle, the whites turn off 15 minutes earlier, leaving the reds on for an extended period. This strategy mimics natural sunrise and sunset, helping the plants transition more smoothly into flowering. Additionally, at the end of the week, we will be implementing 48 hours of darkness before the official flip to flower. This method has worked exceptionally well in past grows, helping plants recognize the transition and encouraging a strong start to flowering. However, it's important to emphasize that this is a personal technique and not a universal rule. Every grower should experiment with different methods to find what works best for their specific environment. Environmental Conditions & Challenges Currently, our temperature is at 27°C with 60% humidity, resulting in a VPD of 1.50. While slightly higher than the ideal for VEG, our CO2 levels are over 1000 ppm, and the light intensity is at 570 PPFD, making it a manageable balance. The solution pH is 5.79 (essentially 5.8), EC is 1.38, and water temperature is 17.7°C. One challenge we are facing is maintaining optimal reservoir temperatures. Currently, it's a bit low at 17.7°C, and we are exploring solutions to raise it slightly. However, the medium temperature sits at 22.2°C, which is a good range. The humidifier is still in use, though it struggles to increase humidity further, so we are working with what we have to keep the VPD in check. ICL-300s Integration The ICL-300 lights are now fully active. Unlike the last grow, where we introduced them later, this time they are on from the start of flowering prep. This adjustment is an experiment to see if the plants respond better to an early introduction. Learning is at the core of this journey, and each grow offers new insights. Whether this proves to be the optimal strategy or not, it will be a valuable lesson for future grows. On day 169 I did the final flush on both ladies. I went through about 6 gallons per lady. The final runoff measured at around 400 PPM. Right around where I wanted to be. In my previous grows I did not flush as thoroughly, I'll see if I can even tell any difference and if it's worth it. I started the 48 hour period of darkness of day 171 (flower for 72 days). I chopped and hung the buds on day 173. I expect it to take about 7 days for the stems to start snapping when bent. Wanda weighed in at 659 grams on harvest day with stems and leaves. Wilma weighed in at 731 grams on harvest day with stems and leaves. I am estimating I'll end up harvesting and jarring over 15% of the bud wet weight. So around 200 grams. I ended up trimming all the large fan leaves before I hung the flowers to dry. My hands got very sticky while just handling the stems and cutting leaves. Will update once the buds are dry and I've tried some of the bud. Can't wait!

Day 29 01/08/24 Thursday Another feed today using de-chlorinated tap water pH 6, there now taking 300ml every evening. Day 32 04/08/24 Sunday 300ml De-chlorinated tap water pH 6 today again with Plagron PK13-14 and power buds. All plants doing really well! Had an infestation of leaf minors this week, no idea how, but they are treated and I'll check every 48 hrs on progress of pets. All of them have shot up this week 💚 Day 34 06/08/24 Tuesday De-chlorinated tap water pH 6 today with calmag only. Pre flower stretch initiated, pre flower female sex pistils forming 😍 All happy and healthy!

Added nutrients to top off reservoirs everything looks good …I am content so far with testing will be dropping light schedule to 11 on 13 off to accelerate bud development hopefully shortening flowering time

Die Pflanze wurde Mitte letzter Woche an Tag 66 geerntet. Getrocknet wurden die Blüten 6 Tage lang bei einer Luftfeuchtigkeit von 53% bevor sie nun ins Glas kommen. Getrimmt wurde die Pflanze trocken.

420Fastbuds-FBA2501 I'm excited as it's tester time. Germination week is complete. I planted 3 seeds and had all 3 sprout within 48hrs of being in the soil. I do soak them for 48hrs in a glass of water before planting. I can't wait to see what the weeks to come will have in store. Happy Growing

She is growing super fast with the 315 watts LEC, only see the diference between day 27 and day 28. Replace Bio root with Flora Blend, very happy so far so good.

Einen schönen guten Tag allen zusammen gewünscht 🙂 So wir befinden uns jetzt in der letzten Woche der Blühtefase. Wie vergangene Woche schon angesprochen musste die Cola des Haupttriebes geerntet werden bevor er vor Stress bzw. Überreife noch ,,vermännlicht,, Ansonsten ist sehr schön zu sehen, wie die Pflanze die Nährstoffe nach und nach aus den Blättern zieht. Das Düngen werden wir demnächst einstellen. Da wir organisch düngen muss auch nicht zwingend mit Wasser gespült werden. Dennoch wenn es abzusehen ist, werden wir trotzdem ein paar Tage nur reines Wasser benutzen. Auch die Terpene und Calyxe haben sich schön ausgeprägt und sehen echt mega aus. Nur noch wenige Tage und wie vermutet, auch ganz knapp zum Ende des S. S. CUP 24. Es sieht so aus, als hätten unsere von Vorhinein gesteckten Ziele sich fast komplett ergeben. Wir wollten eine gut Buschige, stabile Pflanze, die im obigen Bereich reich mit gut Durchschnittlichen Buds besetzt ist und so gut wie möglich, nicht viele kleine Buds besitzt. Na klar, einige sind auf jeden noch aufgefallen und beim nächsten mal wissen wir, das man da auch definitiv durchgehend dran bleiben muss, nur iwann ehrlicher weise, hatten wir auch das Auge dafür verloren (übermasse an buds und hier auch eher den mittleren teil der Pflanze gemeint) Die Pflanze ist so stabil, dass sie gar ohne Netz klar gekommen wäre. Auch das erste mal das wir dieses erleben durften, sonst machen die Äste immer eine ,,Biege,, ^^ Aber sowas benötigt auch abschließend gesagt, auch PLATZ muhuhuhaaaa 🤣 Diese Strain hat uns insgesamt nur mit positiven bereichert. Wir haben viele Erfahrungen und oder schon bereits erarbeites Wissen durch sie aufgefrischt und somit bewusst verbessert. These holidays we was travelling a little and wenn we arrive Back the girl's was needing a little more energy fir the flowering week 2 , and we do feeding the girl's today, they are looking amazing now!! And everyday looking and smelling stronger

Another week is complete and 2 of 3 plants have shown to be resilient and are no longer stunted from repeated replanting due to my dog tipping the pots over. The fast berry is way behind schedule and showing to be the weak link out of the bunch. Have not started nutrients yet as the lower leaves are not showing any signs of deficiencies.
