As expected with regular seeds, we had both males and females, and this was the week we identified them all. From the original 12 beans, 5 revealed themselves as proud ladies while the rest — equally stunning in structure and expression — turned out to be males. 🌿 💚 Let’s talk about regular seeds and plant sex: Regular seeds are unsexed, meaning they can become either male or female. It’s a 50/50 genetic roll of the dice — and with unique mutant genetics like these, identifying sex isn’t always easy early on. Males typically show small pollen sacs, often referred to as “bananas” in their early stage. Females develop pistils, the first hairs of the flowers we’re after. Male plants, while beautiful and structurally fascinating (especially in this mutant project), can compromise a flowering room if left unchecked. Their pollen can fertilize female plants, leading to seeded buds — great if breeding, not great for clean flower. So, we say goodbye, thank them for their beauty, and move forward with the ladies to full bloom. The males? This was another hot, hot week with a big rainstorm. Take a look at the measuring cup, it is full of rainwater. Gorilla Cookies continues to smell and is very sticky. It is a tall and lanky plant but look at the heavy buds weighing down the stems. It should be ready to take down in a couple of weeks. Half way through this grow, I had to stop using Miracle Grow and change my grow plan. I decide to use Advance Nutrients Jungle Juice for the rest of the grow. Jungle Juice’s selling point is that it is the only nutrient that I should need during the entire grow. One just need to make the solution stronger as the plant matures. The directions say to “stir vigorously” and that is true. It is very clumpy and I had to stir and shake the bottle a lot. As your plant is in veg and growing larger, directions say to up your Jungle Juice to 4 ml per liter. If my calculations are correct, I am using approx. 5 tablespoons per 5 gallon bucket. 1 gal is 3.78 liters 5 gallons=18.92 liters 4ml jungle juice per liter x 18.92 liters= 75.7 ml which is = to 5.119 tablespoons per 5 gallon bucket of water As the end of the summer is quickly approaching, I have spent some time reflecting this week on all of the contests that I have entered and not won this summer. It can be a little frustrating because of all the time I have spent taking pictures and writing commentary. But, instead of it getting me down, I have to think about all of the positive take aways and I want to share them on this platform. I have read a lot of diaries and now know why I am just an apprentice. I have a lot to learn from all of you. There are some really good growers with a lot of experience and crazy grow techniques. So much knowledge is on this platform-it’s mind boggling. To be a great grower, you must be willing to be vulnerable and put yourself out there and try different suggestions and new techniques. I have made a few friend that I enjoy chatting with. I enjoy reading comments versus just seeing likes. My best friend on grow diaries is @Natrona and my neighbor as well. She has been growing longer than I have been so I routinely learn from her. This summer I learned to mix 1 cup of Perlite into my soil. I can see where my plants need the air flow. And, I now I only defoliate fan leaves that absolutely need to be gone. I let the fan leaves stay on until they fall off. I want my buds to pull all the nutrients they can out of the fan leaves. I also bought 2 new tools that @natrona suggested. The first was a water PH tester and the second was my Max-ee Magnifier which is informative and fun to use. On 7th day of flowering we removed lower little branches and made some lollipopping on the plants. Also we made some defoliation on gelatos cause they were very bushy but almost removed only biggest fan leaf. As plants were bigger enough we started adding granural mineral NPK 12-18-23 1 g/L and CalMag Xtra by advanced nutrients 1mL/L to the solution.

Anche stavolta provo questa Tecnica, quello d'infilzare alla Base del tronco con degli stuzzicadenti. Prima incido con un coltellino la base del tronco da dividere le due parti, poi successivamente infilo degli stuzzicadenti, (alcuni Growers, che hanno un bel tronco largo, ho visto che ci infilano un bastoncino-le bacchette cinesi) da mantenere separati le due parti. Questo dovrebbe comportare un aumento di resina sui calici e anche di volume. Boh speriamo.... Domani 21/06/2021 Farò un altra pulizia delle Radici(Acqua Flushing) da ridurre drasticamente l'EC(da ricordarsi che l'ultimo risciacquo era circa 2000 EC- pH circa 6)

Well the end has come to this beautiful strain What can I say it was fun to grow even considering the early problems I had with the yellowing it turned out amazing The smell and taste are out of this world. Tastes very citrucy and sweet. With a super heavy high. Looking forward to curing this one. Onto the next and big up the followers

Everything is looking OK. I did a mid-flush I didn't care much for but other then that the flowers are swelling up nicely and filling out. I'm hoping to go to 70 days. This is day 37! Any question, please don't hesitate to ask!

Hey guys! Here's the 3rd week of flower! 😻 This week I trimmed my babies (just a little, about 8 leaves or less each plant). Some leaves were healthy but were blocking a lot of light from the flowers and tucking them wasn't doing the job anymore. Besides that Boomer stretched out a lot (which also worried me as I didn't want my babies to go wild on me. I LSTed some of them hoping that would fix the issue). Where I live has been getting somewhat cold at night and I fear that might be doing something to my babies (I hope to be wrong). Besides that the flowers are getting bigger everyday and some are even starting to show some trichomes (I think looks cute!). The pistils are also getting bigger and the smell is stronger now (it was already strong). Near the end of the week I saw Falco's leaves were getting yellow and I suspect it is nitrogen deficiency... and what's causing it is probably some residues at the end of the pot (so I might need to flush her) or maybe I just need to feed her more nutes). Keep in mind she used to be quite small during veg and only in the end she grew enough to be transplanted to a bigger pot. Maybe she's just special? This week you'll see less timelapses compared to last week... I forgot to take photos for about 3 days 😅 but at least there are some! I hope you'll enjoy what I'm sharing! Thanks for reading! 👋

Week just starting off and the one baby has still not broken thru so I take matters into my own hands and attempt emergency surgery!!! I sanitized a Raw loader stick and gently pulled the sprout up. It laid over after and I'm going to give it a few hours before I try to put something to hold it up if it doesn't manage to orient properly. Any advice would be appreciated, This week just started so will edit it throughout the week.. 11/18 Transplanted into 1ga pots and gave first n00tz FF 3tsp/GA Big Bloom. 11/19 Ok so my humidy has been plumiting to 33-36% so I tried putting a rag over a fan, putting a rag in a bowl over the inlet and nothing helped so I went to amazon and bought this! https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B08GQZDS9J It has a gallon or so tank and a humidity sensor so it cycles to maintain humidity. 11/20 Anyways humidifier shows up today and I kicked it up to 80% and its about 70% after 4 hours.. I'll drop it down once the babies get to growing a bit more. I'm actually worried I transplanted too soon. Shout out to my boy Jeff! And a smaller shout out to James! 11/22 So no real changes the last few days, the plants still aren't thirsty so holding off on that. I did rearrange grow tent to allow me to set up a camera to capture time lapse of the process and I had to get some power to it so it doesn't cut off when the lights go out hehe. I mean all is well I guess, I'm still concerned bout my little plants and the one with the crooked stem. Although I'm thinking the more I keep hands off right now the better chance they'll have! Wish me (and my babies) luck! 11/24 So everything looks smooth, today I uploaded a time lapse of the last couple days which if you speed thru it can see movement of the plants which is cool, but I'm stressing that my 3 way meter isn't correct. Its reading like 6-7 on moisture scale after about 7 days of being on the same water/feeding. I am anxious to water again but don't want to overwater...I mean I do feel some moistness if I press down on the soil. I'm quickly learning this is a great means to work on your patience!!! Oh and I'm rapidly losing hope for the bent girl, so sad.
