I love this new diary app! Getting to document each and every grow, makes it easier to improve the next time. If this website continues to gain more and more growers, I think Grow Diaries might be the goto site for uniting together growers from all over the world.

Well I think I could have gone another 2 to 3 weeks but I'm happy and need to move on to the next relm of life. I'll be back at the end of the week with total weights for everything once curred. Thank you for for you interest and likes 👍

Didn't change anything to the feed because she seems happy Did remove quite a bit of fan leaves, as I'm planning to send her into flower soon Not exactly mainlining, but it definitely is a very beautiful canopy

End of Week 7 CO2 is definitely increasing growth rates but also changes the game with controlling your environment now that it has to be sealed in order to not waste CO2 unnecessarily. You change one thing and it adds many other variables to keep everything in check. I am learning everyday and that's why I grow. The trellis net is doing its job and the canopy is looking nice and even. I also added a soil top-up and top dress of some BioBloom and Mycorhizae so it can start breaking down before I flip to flower next week (Slow release dry organic amendments). And the ladies are using up nutrients in the soil much faster because of the added CO2 (another variable to take into consideration - faster growth = faster nutrient consumption) In detail: -Carefully removed trellis netting -Ammended each plant individually with my soil mixture and nutrients -Placed them back in the tent -Reinstalled trellis netting and trained the ladies to shape Pest Report: Thrips VS Ladybugs... I decided to fight fire with fire - I purchased Swirski-Mites from Koppert (They are beneficial insects that feed on the eggs and larvae of thrips and other unwanted pests). As for the adult thrips - I got very lucky and found about 10 Ladybugs in my garden and decided to introduce them into my grow room as they will feed on adult thrips and any other unwanted pests. I did not spray any insecticide this week and it really seems like the ladies are happy with my new method of bio-warfare and are wilting less and less often

Week 5 and looking alive! Lol added a few things this week. Two infared heat lamps for warming up the cool start to their day. I also added a deep red light for evening and morning simulation.

Terpenes are aromatic compounds that give cannabis some of its most distinct aromas from citrus and berry, to more earthy tones. Many species of plants produce and emit terpenes in a diurnal, or daily cycle that is regulated by a complex web of signaling. There are also many plants that emit terpenes at night to attract nocturnal pollinators (Marinho et al., 2014346). Regardless of when the terpenes are produced or emitted, these processes are often dependent upon cues derived from natural light/dark cycles via a native circadian clock (Dudareva et al., 2004). Several light-sensitive pigments are involved in these processes of production and emission, and the different photoreceptors are dependent upon different wavelengths of light to be activated or deactivated. Emission of terpenes is a process that is entirely dependent upon phytochromes and red/far-red light cues in most plant species (Flores and Doskey, 2015). For example, repeated light/dark phytochrome signaling is necessary for the emission of terpenes in tobacco plants (Roeder et al., 2007). Based on previous findings, we hypothesized that a lack of red light and phytochrome-mediated light/dark signaling on the part of the plant is responsible for an increase in terpene content in cannabis. The plant continues to synthesize terpenes, but a lack of red light to trigger the Pr-Pfr shift results in a lack of terpene emission by the plant, thus causing the terpenes to accumulate in the maturing flowers. It has been found that sound waves were at different frequencies, sound pressure levels (SPLs), exposure periods, and distances from the source of sound influence plant growth. Experiments have been conducted in the open field and under greenhouse growing conditions with different levels of audible sound frequencies and sound pressure levels. Sound waves at 1 kHz and 100 dB for 1 h within a distance of 0.20 m could significantly promote the division and cell wall fluidity of callus cells and also significantly enhance the activity of protective enzymes and endogenous hormones. Sound waves stimulation could increase the plant plasma-membrane H+-ATPase activity, the contents of soluble sugar, soluble protein, and amylase activity of callus. Moreover, sound waves could increase the content of RNA and the level of transcription. Stress-induced genes could switch on under sound stimulation. Sound waves at 0.1–1 kHz and SPL of (70±5) dB for 3 h from plant acoustic frequency technology (PAFT) generator within a distance ranged from 30 to 60 m every other day significantly increased the yield of sweet pepper, cucumber and tomato by 30.05, 37.1 and 13.2%, respectively. Furthermore, the yield of lettuce, spinach, cotton, rice, and wheat were increased by 19.6, 22.7, 11.4, 5.7, and 17.0%, respectively. Sound waves may also strengthen plant immune systems. It has been proved that spider mite, aphids, gray mold, late blight and virus disease of tomatoes in the greenhouses decreased by 6.0, 8.0, 9.0, 11.0, and 8.0%, respectively, and the sheath blight of rice was reduced by 50%. Another week gone. The smell is extremely strong now, even with the carbon filter. Buds are huge and very dense. Should be a nice harvest! Probably about 2-3 weeks left now 😎

I am very proud of this girl ! Despite the fact that she is younger than the rest by two weeks, she caught up with her friends in height and even surpassed them :) The giant fan leaves are surprising 😃

Everything so far so good Blue cheese on the left Sweet zz on the right, RQS recommend with the blue cheese to LST during week 3 so decided I’d just do it on the sweet ZZ aswell. Never trained a plant before think it went well tho.

Beginning of week 10 I disinfected Do-Si-Dos and Quick One with a 1:4 ratio of Purolyt (HOCL) and Cookies Gelato with a 1:50 ratio. The two plants got sprayed with a 3 bar pressure sprayer and cookies gelato with a normal handsprayer. Also gave them 1.5L of water with nutrients on Wednesday. Cookies gelato gets watered with a watering bag with 3L and 20ml each hour. Humidity in the tent is about 64% and temperature 25°. The humidity in the drying tent is about 60% and temperature 24.5°.

This has been one of the easiest grows I had so far. The feeding was the key. Amending with a ‘Grow’ amendment(rich in Nitrogen) and supplement with Bloom liquid nutrients. Watering as often as possible and using RO water. Even though I had a pest invasion the girls did great.
