Decided to start dark period(24-48hrs) day 85 mostly milky not much amber maybe some amber on the sugar leaves. I wanted to go 90+days with this auto but I needed the space in the tent for my photos and she looks almost ready, would’ve liked to see a little more amber but nevertheless I haven’t grown much at all so don’t have too much preference yet on trichomes. I’ll chop in a day or two and dry in my smaller tent and hopefully it goes well, my first harvest I dried too fast in low humidity and wasn’t that pleased with the end result. This time I’m planning on lowering exhaust speed and to not be so scared of 50+humidity in drying area and raise it to around 60humidity after a few days. Can’t think of anything else to write, but I’ll update after the chop and dry and 🙏 hopefully all goes well.

🇺🇸 Week 8 of Growth – Mother Gorilla – Royal Queen Seeds 🇺🇸 This week, I’m happy! The roots have recovered well. They continue to eliminate dead roots, and you can see in the photos that new root growth is emerging. This is a great sign—it means the plant is regaining strength. The roots have resumed their growth, which is the big highlight of the week. The plant has also continued to develop foliage. It’s now dense and well-filled out. Today, I did a major defoliation to maximize light penetration and maintain good airflow. Now, I’ll let the plant recover because I think I’ll be switching to flowering soon, maybe next week or the one after. I really want to optimize light penetration to encourage new shoots, which will later become flowering sites. Environmental Conditions & Nutrients: We’re still at 18 hours of light, with temperatures between 25–27°C and humidity around 70%. pH and EC: I’ve had some issues with pH rising. It tends to climb to 6.5–6.6, so I have to lower it regularly. Since switching back to RO water, I stopped adding tap water. But now, I’ve started reintroducing small amounts to help stabilize the nutrient solution. Initially, my RO water had an EC of 0.1, which I increased to 0.2–0.3, and now I plan to raise it to 0.4 before adding nutrients. This should help maintain a more stable pH. The EC was set at 1.4, and now it has dropped slightly to 1.3, which is great news—it means the plant is drinking and absorbing nutrients well. Final Thoughts: • The roots are bouncing back. • The plant is strong and healthy. • I performed heavy defoliation and topped some apical growths to keep the canopy even as I finish filling the Scrog net. • I changed the nutrient solution this week, so we’re on a fresh mix. Now, I’ll let the plant recover from the defoliation, which might slow it down for a couple of days. Les racines ont bien repris. Elles continuent d’éliminer les racines mortes, et sur les photos, on peut voir que de nouvelles pousses apparaissent. C’est un excellent signe : la plante retrouve sa vigueur. Les racines ont repris leur croissance, et c’est vraiment la bonne nouvelle de la semaine. La plante a également continué son développement foliaire. Elle est maintenant bien touffue et bien fournie. Aujourd’hui, j’ai fait une grosse défoliation pour maximiser la pénétration lumineuse et maintenir une bonne circulation de l’air. Maintenant, je vais laisser la plante récupérer tranquillement, car je pense la passer en floraison bientôt, probablement la semaine prochaine ou celle d’après. Je veux vraiment optimiser la pénétration lumineuse pour favoriser de nouvelles pousses, qui deviendront des sites de floraison. Conditions & Nutrition : On reste sur 18 heures de lumière, avec des températures entre 25 et 27°C, et une humidité d’environ 70%. pH et EC : J’ai eu quelques soucis avec le pH, qui a tendance à monter jusqu’à 6,5–6,6, donc je dois le réajuster régulièrement. À l’origine, mon eau osmosée avait une EC de 0,1, que j’ai augmentée à 0,2–0,3, et maintenant, je compte la monter à 0,4 avant d’ajouter les nutriments. They did stretch a touch at the start, but the lowered light and steady airflow should help them thicken up fast. --- ### Environment * **Temp / RH:** 25 °C day – 21 °C night / **75 % RH** * **Light:** LED at 35 %, now **20 cm** above the canopy, 18/6 schedule * **Airflow:** Two fans have been running unfortunatley only since yesterday to keep fresh air moving and strengthen the stems * **Medium:** Light mix with extra perlite in 0.5 L peat pots on a seed-heat mat ### Watering & Feed * Still giving only **plain Gerolsteiner Naturell** (pH ≈ 6.2 out of the bottle) – no nutrients yet; runoff looks clean. ### Observations * Stems are a little lanky from the earlier light distance, but colour is good and the new growth looks happy. * Roots should start circling the peat pots soon; a gentle tug already shows light resistance. ### Next Moves 1. **Up-pot in 3–4 days** into 3 L Air-Pots and bury an extra couple of centimetres of stem to fix the stretch. 2. Keep RH around 70–75 % for another week, then start lowering to ~60 % as they bulk up. 3. Gradually ramp the light to 40–45 % once they’re settled in the new pots. These healthy girls are starting to flower now and looking beautiful.Im going to do a bit more training and some defoliation to get more light penetrating down below.Se7000 still set at 50 percent light intensity raised to the ceiling of the tent and they seem to be really happy with it.Just about 2 more weeks I’ll start adding the Plagron Green Sensation along with another top dressing of Gaia green power bloom.

Week 2. Just the normal stretch. Nothing eventful. After this week, I'll be giving random weekly updates due to my busy schedule.

She has been on 12/12 for 2 weeks now and transitioning to flower nicely. This bubble bomb might be the smallest of the bunch but she is stretching some and it looks like she is going to put off about 20 top buds so no complaints. Couldn't be happier with how these 6 girls are playing well together so far. Going to start them on some liquid Koolbloom next week. Nutrients per gallon .5 tsp maxibloom .25 tsp maxigro .5 tsp calimagic .25 tsp armor si .1 tsp 90/10 humic/fulvic acid. Ph to 6.0

As week 8 started, buds are gaining size. Plant is drinking lots of water. About. 3/4 a gallon a day to day 1/2. Added a second light to setup now. Hoping to help the flowering buds with extra light. Relocated my fan to help circulate air flow around more of the taper colas. Should have a around 3 week a left til harvest. Can’t wait to see how this first grow turns out and what to learn from it overall at the end.

So the Northern Lights free seed from RQS ended up out living all 3 of the Dosidos’ “USA Premium” seeds that all died within the first week of sprouting, hopefully an explanation will be found for this as I have not been able to come to any conclusion as to what happened. Long live the lights amiright

This plant plus one more started to wilt earlier on in the week, I figured it was probably time to transplant seeing as they had been in the solo cups for 2 weeks. After transplant plants seemed to be happy again. I introduced amino acids this week as well. They are getting the grease spray and drench program

AUGUST 16 to AUGUST 22, 2025 Insofar as fertigation, this week each specimen was provided a Top Dress of Dry Organic Amendments as described in the Nutrients section of this diary post. The top dress was watered in with a Liquid Amended Soil Drench with the following ingredients and measures (mL/L): Bloom Liquid Plant Food (1-3-3) - 5.0mL/L of plain rainwater Yucca Schidigera Liquid Extract - 0.25mL/L Monosilic Acid - 0.5mL/L Activated Beneficial Microbes - 5.0mL/L - All products from Optimize Organics (https://www.optimizeorganics.ca/) Both Lemon Orange specimens are growing with vigour, and well into the transition to bloom. Pairs of pistils are evident in several locations on each plant. Sunlight hours have dropped to under 14 hours (Sunrise 07:00, sunset 20:58). I am considering this Week 1 of flower. Considerable height gain over the week, with a noticeable increase in inter-nodal spacing, particularly on Lemon Orange #2. Lemon Orange #1 is the shorter of the two phenotypes, slower growing, and not taking in near as much water/nutrient (did not need to be watered this week). Lemon Orange #1 has an average height across its 8 main growing shoots of 51cm, while Lemon Orange #2 is is near 68cm. Neither specimen is overly smelly on their own, but when rubbed up against or manipulated the scent of citrus with an earthy after-tone is present. Fungus gnats have found a home in the garden, and for now I've deployed yellow sticky traps to control the adults. More aggressive treatments of other parts of the lifecycle will likely be needed, and I am considering acquiring nematodes to add to my living soil. DAY 99 - Top Dressed with dry organic amendments (Bloom mix); Watered in with Bloom Soil Drench Formula; Went fishing for a couple of days. DAY 100 - n/a DAY 101 - n/a DAY 102 - 1L drip of plain rainwater at 08:30 via automated irrigation system; Returned from fishing trip in early afternoon (14:00), plants looked good, if not a bit uneven as a result of not being turned 1/4 clockwise over the past 3 days. DAY 103 - Witnessed droop under full sun in early afternoon, across all specimens on the back bench (Blue Dynamite #2. Lemon Orange #2, Blue Dynamite #1). Drip watered 1.5L of plain rainwater to that bench of plants only, as the front bench with the small plants (Lemon Orange #1 and Purple Romulan) seemed as though the substrate was sufficiently moist. DAY 104 - Prepared Compost Tea for application on Day 106, set to aerate for 36 hours. DAY 105 - n/a

Day 42, everything is chuggin along pretty healthy. Definitely some seeds in most of them which bugs me. The whole tent reeks tho which is nice. Some of the citradellics look like they are gettin pretty close so I'll start keeping an eye on them. I had to take the pics again and was strugglin so they arent my best. I have to go thru them still so I got the video up and tmm or as soon as possible I'll get the still shots up✌️ They both are just fattening up day after day and dont seem like they plan to stop anytime soon. They're covered in overly stocky Terps, feels like gorilla tape level of sticky. 2 is the keeper at this point, I'm not sure if theres somethin off in #1 coco I havnt been able to test run off but just feels like its growing a little slower and awkward.

Started off week 6 off by adding 5ml of Flying Skull Z7 to reservoir and adjusted reservoir PH to 6.0. I've got the blumats nearly dialed in and keep making small adjustments every 24 hours. I am holding off a few days on the nutrients to see what the plant tells me. The clawing seems to have improved(combo of over watering and not getting runoff on hand watered nutrients I believe). When I apply nutrients going forward I will make sure there is plenty of runoff so I don't repeat the same mistakes. 😬 on day 2 I applied 1 gal of nutrients and watered until runoff. On day 3 I defoliated the bottom of my plants to improve the air flow. On day 6 I added 5ml of flying skull Z7 to the reservoir. I noticed a possible calcium deficiency on one plant so on day 7 I applied my 1 gal of nutrients with the addition of calmag and silica. Ive only used calmag once growing in coco and it burned my plants...so I assumed there was enough from my tap water and nutrients. I know this goes against all advice.. I think it finally caught up with me LOL.LIve and learn to buffer your coco. Next grow I will buy buffered coco and use a calmag product 😅 I defoliated the center of my plants to increase airflow and expose light deeper into the canopy.

February 23, 2021 (Week 7, Day 50, Flower 1): It's the first day of flower! The plants slept for 12 hours last night and will keep that up until harvest. Still seeing pretty crazy growth even for the 12 hours of darkness they went through. Grew about another .5". Excited to see how much these things stretch. Soil was very dry this morning so I watered with 4l of water per plant with 3ml/l pH Perfect Bloom + 2ml/l pH Perfect Grow + 2ml/l Sweet Raw + 1ml/l Big Bud + 1ml Cal-Mag Plus + 1/4 tsp/gal Humboldt Nutrients Big Up Flower Powder with a pH of 5.8. Runoff pH of 6.3. I will start watering with a 6.0 solution going forward. I also top dressed with about an inch of fresh Roots Organics Lush soil. Plants are looking great. Not seeing any problems currently. I'll keep a close eye on them as they transition. Turned down humidity another 5% today. Averaging 50% rH and 73℉. February 24, 2021 (Week 7, Day 51, Flower 2): Plants look great. Soil still moist from watering. Tilled half inch of topsoil. Averaging 50% rH and 73℉. Nothing else for today. February 25, 2021 (Week 7, Day 52, Flower 3): No complaints at all. These plants are as healthy as they can be from what I can tell. The growth sites are starting to do some funky stuff and everything is kind of starting to "clump" together. Really interesting to watch this process happen, as I've always wondered exactly how the buds begin to form. I was greeted with a very sweet smell when I opened my tent this morning, nothing strong yet. To encourage further vertical growth I've removed all LST ties except for two from Gelato 1 and Unknown 2. I adjusted the ties on Unknown 1 because it's already starting to stretch and I need it to slow down just a bit while the others catch up. Soil is semi-moist this morning but the pots are still pretty heavy, so I'll water in a day or two. Averaging 50% rH and 72℉. February 26, 2021 (Week 7, Day 53, Flower 4): Pots were light today so watered with 4l per plant with 3ml/l pH Perfect Bloom + 2ml/l pH Perfect Grow + 2ml/l Sweet Raw + 1ml/l Big Bud + 1ml Cal-Mag Plus at 6.0 pH. Runoff sitting at 6.4 pH. Defoliated one more node on each growth stem - the lollipop look is coming around. It will probably be my last defoliation like this. From now on I'll only pluck fan leaves that get in the way of bud sites. Unknown 1 grew over 2" in the last 24 hours. The stretch is getting real. I removed all remaining LST ties from Gelato 1 and Unknown 2. I redid the LST ties on Unknown 1 in an attempt to control its growth, but at this point I feel like it's just going to be a lanky plant and there's nothing I can do about it. I'll do my best to keep them as level as I can. Also, I took off Unknown 2's stem cast today and it healed really, really well. I have never seen a plant do this, but it filled itself in with tissue that is soft to the touch, and there's only a slight split at the top. It's looking really great. My wife noticed the smell of the plants this morning for the first time - so that's a good sign! Plants are starting to put off a lot of their own humidity, so I haven't refilled my humidifier in days. Averaging 50% rH and 72℉. Happy Friday everyone! 👻 February 27, 2021 (Week 7, Day 54, Flower 5): Soil is still moist - tilled half inch of topsoil. Overnight it appears Gelato 1 and Unknown 2 are doing their damnedest to catch up with Unknown 1 - they both grew about 2". Plants are looking great and are definitely starting to stretch! Averaging 50% rH and 70℉. February 28, 2021 (Week 7, Day 55, Flower 6): Top soil is pretty dry, but the pots are still heavy. I'll hold off watering for a day or two. The last 24-hour period I think I saw the biggest difference in the plants so far. Each growth stem stretched a ton on each plant, but at varying degrees. The canopy is suddenly uneven, but I think trying to keep everything even at this point will be futile. I will let them go and install the SCROG net soon if the colas start growing too differently from one another. The stipules on every plant tripled in length overnight so I think the plants are definitely getting with the new 12-hour schedule. All the plants are starting to shoot off tons of pre-flowers and pistils now. They're in the swing of things now. Averaging 50% rH and 70℉. March 1, 2021 (Week 7, Day 56, Flower 7): Soil is dry but pots still have some weight. Will probably water tomorrow. Plants are looking fantastic. Canopy is stretching all over the place. Averaging 50% rH and 70℉. Looking forward to next week! Hopefully we'll start to see some flowers poking through soon!
