~MERINGUE by DUTCH PASSION~ Well friends, here we go on another 'canna-venture' together! The grow room has had a complete remodel and some upgrades done to it including brand spanking new 4x8 and 4x4 tents and a Trolmaster Hydro X controller along with a new Control Panel. This strain by Dutch Passion is one of my all time favorite strains that I've cultivated previously with phenomenal results so I'm looking forward to seeing what this girl has to offer when she's grown to her full potential! I'm going to things a bit different this time around. I have a brand spanking new AC Infinity 4x4 tent and was just given one of HLG's newest lights for 2022, The Blackbird! I've got this 600w monster hooked up to my Trolmaster Hydro X Controller so I've got full control over timing, dimming and Sunrise/Sunset. This beauty is going to annihilate the 4x4 for sure! 😎👍 I'm going to grow her all by herself and veg her for around 70-90 days after witch I'll install a trellis net in the tent and spread her out. Once she's recovered from her 'net training' I'll flip her to 12/12 and hang on! 🤪 It's ALWAYS been a blast for me growing strains from Dutch Passion because their genetics are extremely stable which allow me to just concentrate on the essentials: Light, Environment, Water, Nutrients and possibly a bit of LST... not complicated, just basics like keeping a constant temperature and RH in the tent at a level that gives a good VPD, watering when almost dry and maintaining proper light levels according to their stage of growth and they REWARD you with some of the most EPIC cultivars you've ever grown! 👍👍👍 ____________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________ ~STRAIN INFORMATION**~ ~Unique USA genetics~ ~Very sweet aroma and fruity flavors~ ~Compact buds with one of the highest THC levels~ ~Quality of the flowers is top-notch with an amazing bag appeal~ Meringue has a very sweet aroma and fruity flavor Meringue is a hybrid indica/sativa strain with a complex fruity aroma that leans to the tangy side of the spectrum but a bit sweeter. It smells like oranges, mango and honey with some earthy, sour hints. Her aroma profile is also very pungent. Meringue is a connoisseur’s delight Meringue is a high-quality strain. She might not be the biggest overall yielder but the level of quality is definitely a reason to keep growing her again and again. Expect solid yields of stunning looking buds. Although the flowers can be a bit smaller, they are rock-hard and thus will still put down some weight on the scale. When handled well she will deliver you some of the most beautiful looking nuggets on the planet. The dark hues in the flowers and leaves makes the white layer of resin really pop out for an eye-catching bag appeal. Meringue is grown by crossing Wedding Cake x Animal Cookies. Wedding Cake, also known as Pink Cookies, is a USA cross of the famous Girl Scout Cookies and Cherry Pie. These 2 strains make for the intense sweet tangy taste of the variety. It is also noted for its extremely high THC content. Animal Cookies is another popular USA variety which is a child of the legendary GSC line and Fire OG. She is a clone-only variety that flowers in about 9 week and grows very dense and compact buds that can show some dark coloration in the flowers. This strain has a sweet and sour aroma with a strong body-effect that will suit the more experienced smoker. -The genetics used to create Meringue ensure the following characteristics- ~A sweet tangy aroma from the Wedding Cake ~The dense, compact and colored buds from the Animal Cookies ~High potency levels thanks to both the Wedding Cake and Animal Cookies genetics Meringue is top-notch variety with a high cannabinoid profile and an intensely sweet, pungent aroma. ~Meringue Effects~ Meringue is a crossing of 2 popular hybrid USA strains. She leans a bit more to the Indica side which is shown in the shorter flowering time and bud structure. The effect of the variety is quite euphoric with a powerful sense of well being and relaxation. When you smoke more during a short period of time you will be rewarded with a deep body stone which could give a couch-lock experience. Meringue feminized seeds vs Lemon Meringue strain Any fans of the USA Lemon Meringue variety will love the Dutch Passion Meringue. Both varieties share a THC rich high and a connoisseur flavor profile. However feminized seeds of the Dutch Passion Meringue are thought to produce frostier plants and a superior vaping experience. -The growth and flowering time of Meringue- We recommend a veg period of about 4-6 weeks for these feminized seeds. Meringue can have a bit of a slow start while showing some stretch during the latter part of the grow period. On the other hand, she doesn’t stretch a lot during flowering, so she can be a bit challenging to understand. Meringue can have quite an unusual growth pattern with leaves that have elongated stems and which are pointed upwards with some distance to the main stem. This requires the use of certain growing techniques, like leaf tucking, to make sure she receives sufficient light from top to bottom. Meringue stays fairly compact and within 3-4 weeks there is already a lot of resin on the flowers. After 6 weeks of flowering the buds start to show orange pistils, they seem to ripen quite fast. Luckily all plants show amazing resin production, making them very appealing to the eye. The flowering time is about 8 weeks. In combination with the recommended veg phase, it will take around 12-14 weeks from cannabis seed to harvest. The yield of the Meringue Meringue produces XL harvests of top-notch quality cannabis; between 400 and 500 grams per m2 is possible. The buds are really frosty and dense. Our expert advice: Meringue is the perfect strain for professional home growers or licensed producers looking for a variety with the highest possible resin levels. Buds are literally coated in layers of resin. We would recommend to look out for the plants which show the most hybrid leaf and plant structure. These are generally the biggest and best yielding phenotypes. Consider using a UV light during the last few weeks of flowering and notice how the trichome production goes into overdrive. If you’re looking for something truly unique with an amazing bag appeal then please look no further, Meringue is the strain you need! ~More info about Meringue Meringue isn’t the most straightforward plant to grow so she can be a bit challenging to understand. The thing that stands out the most is the slightly unusual growth pattern, therefore more leaf picking is necessary, otherwise the lower buds will not receive enough light. Because of the slightly larger internodal distance, buds don’t have the tendency to become really big, which could make her a bit more interesting for growers with higher humidity levels. There should be enough fresh air around these flowers though, because they become rock-hard. Buds are covered in trichomes, lab results showed all phenotypes were close to and above 20% THC, suited for hardcore smokers. ** Credit to Dutch Passion ____________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________ ~THE SETUP~ ~Initially seed was lightly scuffed, then soaked for 3 hours in 78℉ distilled water after which it was transferred to a moist paper towel laid out in a Jiffy Pellet plastic starter tray with lid. Underneath the tray was placed a Mars Hydro Heat Mat with Controller that was set to 78℉ where it stayed until a tap root emerged. ~Planted into Jiffy Peat Pellet that was hydrated with distilled water warmed to 78℉ with a 7.0 ph. ~Once roots emerged from the Jiffy Pellet she was transferred to a 1qt plastic pot. As she grows I'll be moving her into larger pots along the way up until she's in her 10g fabric pot. ~Grown in a 10g fabric pot filled with Mother Earth 70/30 Coco/Perlite medium and fed Dutch Pro nutrients throughout the entire grow with de-chlorinated water ph'd @ 6.2-6.8. ~19/5 light cycle for vegetation, then 12/12 to flower with supplemental UVA added during the last weeks of flower. Lights are controlled by a Trolmaster Hydro X controller set for a 15min Sunrise/Sunset simulation. ~ Supplemental co2 provided throughout vegetation and flower - monitored and controlled by an AutoPilot APC8200 co2 controller. ____________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________ Weekly Updates: 12/1- I soaked the seed for 3 hours in 78℉ distilled water after which it was transferred to a moist paper towel laid out in a Jiffy Pellet plastic starter tray with lid. Underneath the tray was placed a Vivosun Heat Mat with Controller that was set to 78℉. After 30 hours she had not popped open yet so I soaked another seed for 3 hours and then into a paper towel and onto the heat mat it went. 12/3- This afternoon I checked and the seed had a root that was about 1/4 to 3/8" so at 5 pm I transferred it into a Jiffy Peat Pellet that was hydrated with distilled water warmed to 78℉ with a 7.0 ph using a tine off of a plastic fork as a 'mini trowel' to make a hole in the pellet and to gently cover the tap root, leaving only the seed head slightly exposed. This method accomplishes most of the initial work the seed has to do by eliminating having to orientate itself, push it's root down and head up. By the next morning she had her cotyledon leaves opened! 12/5- Well this is Day ONE for the Dutch Passion Meringue! I'll keep her in the covered/heated Jiffy tray until I see her roots beginning to emerge from the peat pellet, then I'll transfer her gently into her 2qt plastic starter pot to begin growing. 12/7- Today when I checked her, she had roots just starting to emerge from her pellet, so tomorrow I'll transfer her into her 'starter' pot. 😎💚 Thank you for checking out my passion in life! Please visit as often as you wish and I hope you enjoy this journey as much as I know I will! Grow Strong! 💪😎🤙

Hey welcome to the start of week 6. Week 5 is now complete with daily updates so check it out! Misty is still my least popular diary. I do not know why because she is awesome! Perhaps because she is a mystery strain? Day 38: stretching fast now, wish I had space to LST this girl but after latest LST on Nesia there is NO room at all except upwards. Let's hope she stays under 1.5m. 😏 Day 39: Okay I moved all but the big pots and fan out. I still don't have space to LST Misty. I will have to wait until Bertha or Karen are finished. Hopefully it wont be too late. 🙏🏼 Day 40: She's putting in around 2cm a day right now. Fertigated 4l. Height: 35cm Day 41: Misty continues to stretch. I have adjusted the timer such that the main tent is now getting 20/4 upped from 18/6. After monitoring DLI at 18/6 for a week I am unhappy with the overall level but because of the varying heights of the plants I am limited in what I can do in adjusting the light height. Some areas were only getting 20 DLI. So I have rearranged to have the taller plants on the edges and the lowest in the middle and doing it this way all plants are getting between 35 and 50 DLI at 20/4 - although one or two cola tips here and there are getting 55. Will monitor for a week. Day 42: Alright I finally managed to find a way to organise the tent to get a bit more space for Misty so I'm going to do her first major defoliation and adjust the LST. I will update again when done. Done. Photo's added. Fertigated 8l. This was a brutal training session. I was very hard on her removing a lot of foilage and performing both extreme LST and some HST. Don't worry too much Misty will rebound from this. I will need to reapply further LST in a day or two when the nodes all straighten up. I did the same thing to Nesia on day 42... however she had been continually LST'd so I was less hard on her. Let's see what happens. Last but by no means least... I am starting to wonder if Misty is actually another Amnesia Haze Auto... she's very very similar to Nesia.

Week 7 let's go ! Day 152 - 04/11 : The plant symptoms have seemed to slow down. The soil is also starting to dry out a bit more which might have been a problem. Day 155 - 07/11 : She was flushed in the morning with about 4L of water and 2L of a 30% strength microbial+trichoderma tea to innocculate the soil in case the microlife took a hit. The run off was 1L. I also switched the 400W MH for a 400W HPS to finish off with a little extra boost of light + different spectrum and see if it makes any differences. The light were moved up by approximately 20-30cm. They are now at about 70cm from the plant. I wondered if the light were maybe too close and caused all those strange symptoms. Let's see if there is any change in their behaviour. Day 156 - 08/11 : It seems the plant is a lot happier. It has only been a day but I feel like she is fattening up faster suddenly. Or it could be that she has recovered from the slight chock from a few days ago. Day 158 - 10/11 : Yep she is definitely happy again. I am convinced it was the light or at least it was part of the problem, I am seeing a lot of growth all of a sudden, on all plants and not just this one. Trichome are up, pistilles are up, calyxes swelling, everything is running smooth again. She is looking ready already, from a bud general appearance I could almost harvest now, but the trichomes are still mostly clear and I have a feeling she has a little more in her. I suspect the reason for such large amount of already brown trichomes might have been the light excess they went through.

It was time to open the pot again and have look at what's going on. Did the Living consume all the leaves yet or is there a nice mold coming through? Are the Living even still living after last week's weather conditions? ---------------------------------------- June 21 The medium was in for a watering again. My youngest didn't like the taste of that particular banana so we tossed it in the pot as well. 3L of dechlorinated tapwater, with no feed and no microbes. PH Min to 6.3 ---------------------------------------- June 29 The medium was so dry, I had to water the pot first before any digging could take place. I was seriously concerned for the Army, having to withstand these temperatures. To my surprise, I actually found a couple still! Unfortunately the banana was all but untouched. That wasn't cool, digging it up and it not being infested with Worms. I'm holding my breath for next week. It's supposed to reach 40C... ---------------------------------------- Thanks for stopping bye! Hope to see you with the next update. 👊😎

🌼 White OG - Week 1 Flower Strain: White OG by Seedsman Seeds Stage: First Week of Flower Grower: DogDoctor Pot: 30L Fabric Pot Medium: PRO-MIX HP Mycorrhizae Lighting: FOG LED Controller: TrolMaster Environment: 🔆 Light Schedule: 11/13 (Light/Dark) 💧 pH: 5.9 ⚡ EC: Clean and steady (Aptus Clean Mix) 🌡️ Room Temp: Stable & thriving ⸻ 🌗 The Flip – 11/13 Light Schedule This week, we make the cosmic shift from VEG to FLOWER 🌙. We’re flipping our light schedule to 11 hours ON / 13 hours OFF, and yes—it’s intentional. While the typical flower schedule is 12/12, here’s why DogDoctor runs 11/13: 🌓 Faster Flower Induction: Less light = a stronger signal to the plant: “It’s time to bloom!” Many growers, especially with OG genetics, report quicker flower onset with 11/13. 🌓 Myth vs. Magic: Some say you lose yield—not necessarily true. With tight SCROG, proper nutrition, and a long veg like we’ve done, we’re set up for big, quality flowers. 🌓 Mimicking Nature: Outdoor growers know—late-season light drops fast. This method mirrors the natural rhythm and can enhance terpene production in some strains. 🌬️✨ ⸻ 🛠️ Still Keeping It Clean – Aptus Holland Program We stick with the Aptus Clean Line—light yet powerful. 💧 Regulator – Keeps her structure strong and focused 💧 System Clean – A clean root zone is a happy root zone 💧 RO Water Conditioner – Optimal water for nutrient absorption 💧 All-In-One Liquid – Full-spectrum feed, balanced and precise No need to overdo it—simplicity is our secret weapon. 🍃 ⸻ 🌿 SCROG + Chill White OG is filling up the Scrog net beautifully, stretching and flexing into her new rhythm. She’s bouncing back from last week’s heavy defoliation like a champ. But now? 💡 We leave her be. This week is sacred. We let her settle, stretch, and initiate bloom. No major pruning, no big changes—just light tucking into the net and observation. The goal is low stress, high vibe. ✨ ⸻ 📣 Gratitude & Shoutouts Forever grateful to the crew behind the scenes and in front of the screen: 🌱 Seedsman Seeds – for these amazing genetics 🌱 Aptus Holland – for their game-changing clean feed 🌱 Future of Grow LEDs – bringing the light to life 🌱 TrolMaster – climate kings 🌱 PRO-MIX Soil – root magic 🌱 GrowDiaries – the home of plant passion 🌱 The Community – friends, fam, lovers, haters, growers, dreamers—you ALL matter in this space. 📢 Come hang with us on Instagram [@DogDoctorOfficial] 🎉 And don’t miss the 1st Edition of the Dognabis Cup—a community celebration of growers, heart, and soul. ⸻ 💬 Final Thoughts The transformation begins. Last week with B.A.C. organic program, a big shot of Final Solution, less PK booster and no more Calmag : after this watering, it'll be rain water for everyone until the end (about a week or two). The smell is powerfull! It killed my 1 year old carbon filter...😓 2023/05/01 : trichromes checked... still too much clear and not enough amber.

Week 8 and week 3 of flower! The terpenes are making my mouth water and the ladies are fluffier than ever and stacking up nicely. Due to weather changes recently I was able to keep lower over all temperatures and the humidity has increased slightly but it’s right where I want it (50% RH). Purple Lemonade is fading nicely and her colours are becoming more and more vibrant - she has about 2 weeks left. Terps are insane! All the other strains are happy as can be and also showing slight fade on leaves here and there. Very impressed with my Divine Seeds pheno’s and definitely recommend giving their strains a try very strong and easy to grow. Ethos Zweets literally smelling like candy canes. Dutch Passion Colorado cookies definitely giving off hues of a bakery. Overall it was a smooth week and I can’t wait for the smooth smoke! Organics is the easiest way to grow with minimal effort and great results. Shoutout to Green House Feeding Bio Line 😎

I did not log all the weight, cuz my “wine cellar” run out of place , so a lot I just tossed in a big bucket for later hash. All the larf is not weighted, next grow i will do larf mitigation and proper lightning for each plant. For now I got a lot of larf, but I also see that some of my plants got great nugs even under low light exposure. Purple lemonade is less in big density In comparison to Tangie Matic. As well as not purple appeared, even though it is claimed to be genetically stable. Maybe wrong seeds ? Doubt it. But the lemon terps are present. Tent size 240x240

I feed her with full strength of nutes in every 4 days. The leaves are much healthier, so this is the way to go. The smell is lacking which is weird, but hopefully the end product will be fine.

Day 120, 9/5, Day 50 of flowering, full week always one week back: Net down and holding in support. The discoloration is starting to spread and I'm still unsure exactly what it is or if there's time to address it at this point. I've got the lights pulled up just bit more, just over 17" to the canopy at the closest spot. Humidity and Temp have been goldilocks as far as I can tell. PPM was 1100 and 6.38pH on the last runoff with small amounts of Molasses, Senizyme, and a tiny bit of CalMag. Bag is 60% FFOF, 30% Coir, 10% additional Perlite. Have been using FF trio as my base at half strength, only other additions have been the occasional Senizyme and some B-52 back in veg. Day 121: Posting a video of entire plant. Having to get a bit creative to keep this lady up. Some more twist ties and a tie up. Day 122: Will feed tonight. Planning a clean feed with a slightly high pH to bring closer to 6.5pH. Fed: 6.8pH, 6L, 71F, 135ppm - Runoff 6.69, 545ppm. Day 123: Going to spend some time tonight trying to get a view of the trichomes without the glare of the LED on, seems I might get a better idea of what's going on. My wife took these pictures in the dark with flash only this morning. Day 124: Well, I think I'm considerably farther along than I initially thought. I think I'm harvesting this weekend? I've at least 60-70% cloudy, and several amber as seen in today's pictures. These are likely the best micro shots I can get. I have a handheld magnifying glass that's hard AF to keep lined up on my phone camera, especially with my shaky hands. On the other hand, these are pretty decent zoom pics, LG V60, so here's some free advertising for them I guess. Considerable yellowing of the leaves seemingly over night. Day 125, Thursday 9/10, Day 55 of flowering: So, I've decided we won't be using the Flawless Finish. I would have, had I another week to water again. Just worried about adding anything as this is my last watering. On my previous clean feed I had a run off in the low 500s, so I'm just going to 'flush' again with plain Ph'd water. Lights on thru Friday, if everything looks good, lights off all day Saturday. Sunday: harvest, trim, and dry! Night 125: So after fretting a bit much over the past two days, I called the guy at my local grow (and home brew!) shop. He advised 50/50 one way or the other on the Flawless, but of it was him he's pass if he was harvest Sunday, as I plan. Watered with plain ol' pH'd water, 6.5 input. The first gallon was warmer ~75F and run off was 6.3pH/1300ppm, second gallon at 70F, 6.5pH/900ppm. Assume the higher ppm is from the higher temp in water for the first gallon, which was done on purpose. Tomorrow is the last day of lights. Day 126: will attempt to get some good trichome shots tonight Going to confirm she's cloudy and amber all over then shut the lights off for 24hrs. Day 127: Lights out! In the dark til tomorrow. While I couldn't get any good shots, I would say bud to bud my trichomes are 80% cloudy, 10% glassy and 10% amber. There are a few trichomes I was able to focus on for a second that seemed reddish or purple: no idea what that means. My wife was able to sneak into the tent and get some Trichomes pictures. See the red & amber! Day 128, Pre-Harvest Sneak Peek & Pics: Wildly underestimated the amount of time this would take. We started at 3pm, and by 10pm we had only done about half the plant, maybe a little more. Granted we got up for small walks around the block every hour and stopped to make & eat dinner at some point, but I would say we did a solid 4-4.5 hours of trimming. We only clipped the arms of what we trimmed, so the rest is still in the dark tent. Hopefully we finish tonight! We weighed only the largest buds we've trimmed so far and it came out to 140grams wet. Day 130: Welp, didn't finish trimming til this morning. Worth it though! With some already drying for 2 days and some newer, the weight is likely hard to gauge at this point. Looks like the smalls are mostly dry already and weight in at 16gr, the slightly larger grade buds weighed in at 32gr, and the largest buds weighed in at 126gr now. We tried our hand at dry ice hash for all the trim (77gr wet) and got 2gr out of the 73 screen, and 10gr out of the 220 screen! Picture posted of product. See you all in 2 weeks for the harvest post!
