Week 10 Week 3 of Flower Well … bud sites are on the scene. I love the nice open structure of this plant. The stretch has been pretty wild! She is being a bit crowded to the back of the tent now because of the explosive growth of her tent mate (Mimosa EVO). Originally I didn’t think I had much to update until I compared the plants photos at 7 days. The ff3’s have definitely responded better to their new home than the neighboring ff2. They are definitely getting a thicker stalk and adding more foliage. I started the week with a light dose of flora flex nutrients which is by weight rather than tea or tablespoon. They call for 1 gram of the v1 & v2 per gallon of water and I opted for 1 for the entire 6 gallons. But with no response I adjusted the ph and added a small amount of Cali magic and flora grow. On my previous rockwool multi time per day feeding I would have expected these to be twice the size at two weeks. Hopefully we get some explosive growth soon.

Not long now! Trichomes turning milky. I would think within the next week she will be harvested.

The first of week three

This was Saturday morning 🌄 beautiful day 🌞 rain season is near. Im give it a little natural rain for a bit until the heavy down pours start to hit then build a clear PVC dry shelter. Autoflower are a cute fun neat project if you want bud quick turn around still 3 months added cured. I might grow at least 1 strain next season for quick harvest enjoy summer treat. Happy growing

Everything going smoothly! Last bit of tea was Wednesday, was diluted a bit more. Nothing but water from here out. Still hoping I get a stronger smell.

Overall for now I'm already pretty smashed by the outcome for my first indoor grow attempt so far! 😎

-Seeds were germinated directly in soil 2cm deep with 60ml of pH'd mineral water and covered with cling wrap for humidity. -Lights cycle: 18/6 - Seeds popped after 3-4 days, 100% germination -Cling wrap removed after germination -Day 1 of grow is 8/10/2020 -Day 1-4 seedlings were feed pH'd mineral water -Seedlings received their first nutrient feeding on day 5 -Nutrient water pH'd at 6.3 and oxygenated with air pump + air stone -Mycoroot was fed via top dressing Struggled to get the pH with in range, I had to mess around with pH up and down to get it in the range of 6.3. The growth looks good so far just a bit worried up about the colour of the leaves. Temp varied from 26C-28C and humidity ranged between 42-52%. I had to play around with the oscillating fan speeds and positioning as well as the amount of air inlet vents. I found that just having one opened helped get the humidity up and the temp had only a slight increase. I let the oscillating fan run on its lowest setting and put off its rotating function, I also made sure the fan was not directly hitting the plants which assisted with the humidity micro-climate. The distance of the HPS was at 90cm from top of plants after the popped out of the soil, this was readjusted to 60cm once true leaves were showing. They got the first nutrient feed on day 5.

A solid week in flower for both girls and looking good for it, plenty of bud sites on them and more happening every day. The Strawberry Banana loves a feed at about 80% strength grow and bloom at 700ml daily, looking very chunky and stocky. The Gorilla Cookies is on 500ml daily and a 20% feed once in every 3 with just the pH 6.3 water the other 2 and she works great on that. She's shown a bit of a sativa side this week and stretched out above the SB, not bad for what was the runt of the 2 and having had her main stem ripped 3/4 of the way through just above the 1st node! Bought another new fan as the last was too big. That one is circulating air now in the room which the tent lives while the new one is much better suited to face the plants and has a nice wide 110 degree oscillation and 3 speeds, so quiet as well for the power it puts out! The humidifier has been swamped out for a dehumidifier and while it's too early to say it just how good it is, it looks to be gathering a bit of moisture. The new Govee WiFi hygrometer had been a revelation in just how much things like opening the tent, lights off and feeding effect the temp and humidity so hoping I can use this to my advantage! A big defoliation for both girls on day 35 and a last adjusting of the LST to expose the many bud sites to as much light as possible. Hope it all looks good to an watchers on, any advice is always welcome!

7/27 Transplanted as roots beginning to exit the cups on Titania and Pea Into 5 gal pots one time dose of kangaroots 10ml/gal and Fish SHit 2ml/gal 7/28 They are surprising us with the rapid growth already looking at topping in a few days while still in week two since showing green. Lights on hours reduced due to heat to 16 Nuets increased to next stage 8/30 Pea seems to be pausing to build roots 7/31 Being forced to use Cal-Mag per the feeding schedule released by GH was hoping it would not be needed but yes can see the beginnings of def. Thats one strike on the new nuet line. Adding 1.5 ml/gal cal-mag on routine basis and not happy about it Peablossom seems most affected being a sativa and thus obligated to give us a hard time 8/1 Pea is recovering from ?, her coloring is improving a lot. If its cal-mag as suspected this strain is very sensitive about it early on at least. May just have been the mystery lightening FB strains show from time to time. But it improved within 24 hours of adding cal-mag Gave them a dose of Recharge 2.5ml/gal tonight at the feeding see if Peablossom will pick up. Pics in the AM 8/2 From results we are seeing have decided to go back to the cocotek, this is ok but getting problems we just did not have with the other line. Pea doesnt like it at all Silverback mentioned something about light sensitivity when flowering so figure stress is stress so raised lights and moved her to the edge. See what we see Back on cocotek

fungus gnat issue resolved with some Raid earth blends. Predatory mites deployed into the canopy to eradicate a 2 spotted spider mite bloom. Can't wait to plant this outdoors for the season.

This week was the start of the flush. After some research and debating on the subject, decided to flush all plants but #8. Wanted to get our own conclusions as to whether or not flushing is necessary. Excited to see the results. Plant #1 - 3500ml water Ph between 6.00 - 6.10 Plant #2 - 3500ml water Ph between 6.00 - 6.10 Plant #6 - 2000ml water Ph between 6.00 - 6.10 Plant #8 - 8ml in 3000ml water Ph between 6.00 - 6.10 Busted out the professional macro camera to check the trichomes. Hello friends! Here’s the skinny on my grow “First Mainline Attempt!”. I’m going to split this up a bit so it’s easier to follow, this will be a long one :) ~ Progress Day 56 ~ There’s been a lot of growth happening since I got this new light from KINGLED, genuinely surprised. I could notice the difference within hours that my little ones where love’n the light! Compared to last week the difference is huge (to me). I was using a Bestva LED light for my grows up to this point. I read reviews and thought that would be the best light (Bestva) within my current budget. But my plants didn’t seem happy, or growing at an expected rate, I thought I was doing something wrong. Well long story short the KINGLED has made a impact on my plants, I can’t believe all I needed was more light. I will post the light specs below if you’re interested. Now i’m gonna jump right into this weeks growth. I’ll separate each plant below and provide details on height and structure. ~ Individual Progress Notes ~ [CBD Blueberry] Height: 6.0" Tops: 8 Notes: Smallest of the mothers, and she has a weird asymmetrical growth pattern, the nodes don’t match evenly, not sure what mutation this is. It could be that this strain doesn’t like being mainlined.. If this negatively impacts the overall yield and quality I will kill off this mother plant and clones. I have 2 more seeds to germ so it’s not a total loss. [Mazar] Height: 8.0" Tops: 8 Notes: This girl is responding the best to the mainline experiment, I’m excited to clone her off later. Nice symmetrical growth :) [White Widow] Height: 6.1" Tops: 8 Notes: I honestly thought she would be the runt, guess not! Though not the biggest she has the phatest leaves and thickest canopy. I can only wonder what the next few weeks will be like. Must clone! [Super Silver Haze] Height: 7.2" Tops: 8 Notes: Another that’s responding well to the treatment. I’d like to clone her of as well as soon as there is enough growth for me to collect samples. I’ve only had this strain once so I’m hoping this will be as good or better, who knows :) [Purple Urkle #1] Height: 8.0 Tops: 8 Notes: I lost the clone to this girl, I'll need a replacement(s) to test before I flower, more stretch than the others, hmm (both 1 & 2 need to be tested via clones) [Purple Urkle #2] Height: 9.0 Tops: 8 Notes: This girl is very stretchy and her clone is insane! Thickest stalk out of any of my girls? I don't know why but she is phat, love it. Check out my diary "A Few Clones" if you're interested in this possible monster of a plant :) ~ Concerns ~ My only real concern at this point is mite and insect control. This grow is in the garage so that’s not especially easy to avoid. Staying vigilant and nuke’n everything that moves (without harming my plants) is working so far. Those pesky mites and other fan favorite insects! I swear I’ll get my revenge >:( ~ Final Thoughts ~ Other than the local mite population making claims to my property, I’m very satisfied with this weeks progress. Installing the ducting and fans was the hardest chore I had to do, and now that’s taken care of. Before I finish up I want to apologize for not being as detailed and thorough these past few weeks. Now this is a bit personal but I’m willing to share it with ya’ll. My mother has stage 4 cancer, yeah… It hasn’t hit me like a train yet, but I’m still suffering. I’m trying to prepare myself in the event she doesn't make it through chemo and that’s a tough pill to swallow friends. Hopefully I can produce some cbd medicine for her to ease her pain, and help to improve her quality of life. Rough week, seeing the full effects of nute burn and at the same time cal mag deficiency. Making some newbie mistakes here, didn’t realize how often I needed to give them cal mag so fan leaves started to yellow. Also didn’t realize the importance of watering until runoff with the medium I’m using so there was some build up causing the nute burn. PPM was 4000 when I flushed. I finally think I’ve got it all figured out thanks to friends with much more experience whom I should have reached out to sooner. Oh well, expected to make some mistakes and learn from them my first time around. Still have some big fat frosty colas! Can’t wait to take what I’ve learned into the next grow!
