Well the girls have sprouted and conditions are staying somewhat stable. Still trying to nail down the watering volume. I am back to the drip nozzle and hope that give it enough water. Last time it was just overflowing on 1 pot. Like last time, no nutrients as of yet, just straight water. I think I will start them on the nutes week 3.
You might have noticed that I started things differently this time, setting up power bars on 2 corners, and moving some things around. I am hoping this setup will allow the canopy to fill better and for me to manage things better as well.
Well this week is progressing well. My time lapse star is the runt of the litter, but is still doing well. All my girls are doing well again, and I think I have the watering schedule dialed in a little better this time around. Of course I will be watching it closely this time.
Had an issue with the time lapse stopping if there was a power fluctuation, so I put in new batteries, and have unplugged the usb cable as aux power, so hopefully we get a full week of lapse next week.
I also think I have the temps dialed in and the room is keeping a good temp and humidity.
Week 3 is here and all is going well. The girls look good, but 2 are bushier and bigger than the other two. Still on straight water this week, and slowing adding more time to the water pump and keeping an eye on things. I did my first clipping this week, and since then, they have bunched up in the middle a bit. I am going to do some lst this week, and continue to keep them growing. I am also going to be adding nutes this coming week so hopefully they really start to flourish.
On the time lapse, there seems to be less up and down with the leaves and now it seems more consistent. Hopefully this is a good sign on the watering schedule. Well see how it looks next week.
Thanks for checking out my grow and see you all next week.
This has been an unusual week. 2 plants are still growing bigger than the other 2, but all are not extending out, but merely creating a tight bunch. And on 2 of them, the leaves are not a nice green, but sort of a drab green almost brown or yellow. I thought I might be over watering, so I have cut that back, and manually putting in some extra when I take my pictures.
I also added a bit of nutes to see if that helped, but nothing seems to have changed.
This week plant 1 has continued to surge ahead of the other girls, where as plant 4 and the subject of time lapse is the runt of the family. I determined that my watering system is not equally distributing the lifeblood for the plants properly and as such, some are getting more than others. I have cut back the schedule and manually watering them as needed using an old fashioned soil tester to determine which ones get extra. I believe that plants 2 and 3 were not getting enough water, 1 is just right, and 4 is too much. Check back next week to see if things continue to improve.
I did some topping on plant 1 and some LST on plant 2 this weekend. I will watch them for the coming week. Plant 1 also seems to be spreading out on its own, so we will see what the extra topping will do for it.
Although I kept the schedule the same, I also turned on the bloom lights to see if that would help with the plants stretching out more this week. It uses more power, but hopefully it will help the girls by giving them extra energy to stretch.
