16th October, day 209 post germination, 11 weeks flowering: time to cut. Flushing with rain water Ok. Plant passed 72h in a totally dark room (attic), no watering. Whole plant is turning in yellow color, with rusty flowers and heady smell. Harvesting during the waning moon period can contribute to a better drying process. Happy to close this session: a little bit difficult with heat waves and parasites.

Well I have chopped all the girls but one and they are hanging, whole plants on hangers in the dark 5x5.Will update yields as these ladies dry up.I got a light breeze going against the wall of the tent with temperatures around 67 and humidity at 62.

It was a perfect grow. The plant is ready and its 2 days before harvest. She will be potent, i cant wait to smoke her. I am happy that i had no problem with her.

Harvest: Everything dried up to 347 grams + 96 grams of super high quality trim. Overall I am not too pleased with the smoke of the product. Although the bud size, bag appeal, smell and taste are pretty much all there, the shitty burn is a deal breaker for me and the majority of this weed is quite frankly useless. Another downside is while smoking I’ve found 4 seeds in an ounce from almost every strain. Light leaks? At least I learned a ton, including how to get super good burn for my next crop. I’m hoping that curing for a month or so will improve the burn but I wouldn’t really count on it. I have seen weed dried for 4 days with no cure and no flush smoke clean and not go out once. I have been told that the key to white ashes/clean burn is proper mineral content in the soil and there is tons of scientific studies on cigar ash going back 100 years. Plants grown in a medium with high levels of decomposing organic matter, phosphorus, magnesium, chlorine and heavy metal ratio tend to produce black/grey ash. Whereas plants grown in a medium with a higher ratio of trace minerals like calcium carbonate and potassium in the form of wood ash, rock dusts, oyster shell flour and lower levels of decomposing organic matter will produce a dense, uniform white ash that rarely goes out. But this is still all theory until I test it to confirm for myself a few times. My last few outdoor harvests did not improve with curing at all so I’m hoping this will be the missing link. Plain peat moss and coco clearly lack essential minerals that help burn. If said theory is correct I should find a synthetic nutrient line with more trace minerals. Makes me wonder if growing if rockwool/basalt rock could improve burn in a hydro setup. I think I did a fairly decent job for my first grow. I went wrong in a million different places but I still stuck it out and got some decent herb. Things went wrong early when I got black spot mold, nitrogen/magnesium deficiencies and powdery mildew. I corrected most of it but things didn’t get really bad until mid veg when I intentionally skipped a few feedings and defoliated quite heavily stunting the plants. I also didn’t even top or start LST until the 6-9th node which was really stupid and hurt my yield. My temperatures were all over the place from the learning curve. I was severely overwatering without realizing it. 100% peat moss is a shitty medium. I also fed way too late in flower (not what caused shitty burn). I also used synthetic nutrients in soil. Week 3 Flower – Sundae Driver From Seed to Now This journey started just five weeks ago from seed. We ran a very short veg, only about two weeks, before flipping to flower. Even with the short veg, these Sundae Driver phenos have been relentless growers: strong branching early on, healthy node spacing, and an impressive stretch once the light cycle changed. In Week 1 of flower, we switched to 11 hours on / 13 hours off to encourage a faster transition, and by Week 2, the girls had already shot past the 111 cm mark. Now, in Week 3, they’re tall, thriving, and showing no signs of slowing down. The girls are reaching for the sky, tall, elegant, and stretching with no signs of slowing down. Each day they surprise me with just how much vertical growth they’re putting on. I’m curious (and a little nervous!) to see how big they’ll eventually get. Nutrients & Additives This week, we introduced a new layer to the feed program by combining Plagron additives with our existing Aptus lineup. Here’s the full mix (all at 1 ml/L): • Plagron Power Buds – Bud stimulator to support mid-flower. • Plagron Green Sensation – All-in-one bloom booster with PK, sugars, and micronutrients to push flower development. • Plagron Sugar Royal – Amino-acid-rich formula to help boost energy and aroma production. • Aptus Regulator – For plant strength, nutrient efficiency, and stress resistance. • Aptus CalMag Boost – Maintaining balanced calcium and magnesium levels under high growth rates. The idea is to test how the Plagron additives perform alongside Aptus products. So far, the results look promising. Training & Canopy Management No heavy training, just gentle leaf tucking. Large fan leaves are being bent or tucked under branches so light can reach the bud sites without removing too much foliage. This keeps the plant energy flowing while opening up the canopy naturally. Environment • Day Temp: ~26°C • Humidity: ~67% • VPD: ~1.10 kPa (not textbook perfect, but the plants are adapting beautifully) • pH: ~6.5 • Soil Moisture: Letting it dry down to ~19% before watering, sometimes even closer to 9% in hotter moments. Lighting & Gear The girls are thriving under the Future of Grow LED fixtures, with the filtered, even spectrum keeping the canopy happy. I’ve also introduced an automated irrigation system in the tents, still testing whether to fully hand over watering duties to the system or keep a hybrid approach with some hand-watering for closer control. Extras & Comfort Yes, I had a little fun with the camera this week, a casual photo session in the "studio" (plants only in their natural “outfits”), and a special shout-out to Zamnesia for their incredibly comfortable gear. Think rugby-polo style shirts, perfect for long hours in the grow or behind the camera. What to Expect Next Week • Expect: First signs of full flower set, with more defined pistils and the earliest stacking patterns starting to show. You may also see a slowdown in vertical growth as the plants redirect more energy to flower production. • Not to Expect: Heavy trichome development just yet, it’s still a bit early for full resin production, though sugar leaves may start to sparkle. • Keep an Eye On: Environmental stability. With humidity in the upper 60s, watch for microclimate pockets that could encourage mold once flowers start stacking. Closing Reflection From seed to now, this run has been a fast, exciting climb. A short veg, an early flip, and now a careful mix of trusted Aptus products with new Plagron additives, it’s been an experiment in precision and adaptability. Una ceppa meravigliosa, expert seeds fa un lavoro incredibile e magnifico. Dalla germinazione fino al raccolto le piante sono cresciute sane e forti.
