***** Week 7 December 26 to Jan 1, 2020 - Days 43 to 49 from germination ***** Oh yeah baby.......that was a stretch week in week 6!!!.......she gained roughly 10 inches last week😀👍 Only 7 days ago I was not sure where we stood with transition and stretch but she took off by mid week last week. I expect this week to be similar to last and she will keep stretching through mid week at minimum but then likely be pretty close to end of stretch and focus on buds. Using this week to ensure we keep her tied down and try and maintain an even canopy in order to have lights at optimum height. She is consuming a couple of liters a day now and will continue this way for a few weeks I suspect. Ensuring that she is getting silica now to strengthen the branches to help support weight. She has some nice thickness to her 8 main branches reaching for the top. Good signs that she will be able to support weight of bigger buds. Its also time to get Terpinator going in full gear as well. This girl has tons of terps according to other diaries so want to ensure we support their production as well👍 Not sure if I will add Rezin from Green Planet to help with trichome production this go or not.....I wanted to stay with just Remo's line of nutes but I still have to add silica, microbes, beneficial bacteria, and enzymes........yes healthy microbes will produce beneficial enzymes but I always add them as well.......so am I really staying with just that line already??? She had more yellow leaves at the below than I realized when I pulled her out. Not what we want at this point in life so ppm have been stepped up and frequency will increase for both Fast Buds girls😀 Healthy and strong growers need the meat and potatoes!!!!! Really want the flavors to come out for this girl so I have been watching the feed and trying to make sure I don't find myself unable to flush her well enough. Finding the balance😃 Little more daily detail......... Dec 26/20, Day 43 - 2L full feed again. Had mixed up 12L yesterday. - Added 2ml/L of Microbial Mass and Piranha = 1200ppm and 5.9pH. - The girls needed their microbe allotment as we get closer to the end. - Bacteria added to help keep some of the nutrients in the media as she finishes. - next watering is more of plain water and add Terpinator. Dec 27/20, Day 44 - pots are light again in the afternoon. - 2L watering with Magnifical and Microbes and Rezin @ 2ml. Terpinator @ 3ml = 400ppm and 5.8pH - She is a hungry girl but backing off the ppm on this watering a bit. - trimmed lower branching on the outside and down low. No need for her to waist energy on four branches so cut them off. - I have added Green Planet Rezin because it has become part of my routine now for the last few grows and my girls have been frosty......continuing with it on this grow......in moderation😜 Dec 28/20, Day 45 - the girl is hungry so feeding again today with full nutrients. - 2.5L watering today, stepping up from 2L volume. - Full line of Remo, all 6 parts plus silica again @ 2ml = 1150ppm and 5.9pH Dec 29/20, Day 46 - another feeding in the morning today. Pot was really light. - 2L in the morning giving with same feed of 1150ppm and 5.9pH. - in the evening, 12 hours later, pots were pretty light so gave another 1.25L of feed that was left over for 16L mixture yesterday. - she had a total of 3.5L feed today......water tomorrow and not feed. - observing today that she is slow accepting new water into the media......root issues starting? - stripped off two lower outside branches again today that are too low. - will keep talking some lower branches from this girl this week and then leave her alone after that.......not too radical, just a few that will not amount to much in the end. Dec 30/20, Day 47 - she has not finished her stretch just yet......she is taller again this morning. - Pulled them out quickly to test the weight of the pots and they need watering again today. - The leaf colour is quite green now when you pull them out and look at them under natural light.......back off ppm next two watering's and keep CalMag, Terpinator, and microbes for now only. - 11:00am she had 2L watering with Magnifical @ 1ml, Enzymes Komplete and Microbial Mass @ 2ml = 175ppm and 5.7pH Dec 31/20, Day 48 - pots are really light this morning. - 2.5L feeding with Terpinator @ 3ml, MagNifiCal and Rezin @ 2ml Natures Candy @ 1ml = 600ppm and 5.9pH - pulled her out and trimmed off a fair bit of lower branching. Did it now before she gets too far into flower. - she has really vigorous branching so trimmed a lot of inside growth and the bottom 1/3 of her. - It was actually fairly aggressive stripping so will keep an eye on her and see how she reacts......should have added some kelp and vitamin B to the feed but didn't😶 Jan 1/21, Day 49 - watering in the morning. - 2.5L watering with CalMag, VeloKelp and Vitathrive @ 1.5ml = 400ppm and 6.0pH (Had to add Terpinator for 1ml/L to bring down the pH......missed it so added something, too much pH up was added.) - they have been given a lot of ppm this week so backing off a bit and just giving some basics as using RO water. - bud sites mid way down the stems are getting bigger and stacking more........she has some huge potential to yield but with her only in a 3 gal pot.......I feel like I shot myself in the foot and she should have certainly had a 5gal pot!!!!

Thursday this week has been good so far, I pulled each plant out yesterday and tidied everything up. I got rid of all the tiny lateral branches that didn’t make the cut and I got Rid of everything that was below about half way down the plant. Obviously the lateral branches that grew to the same height as the canopy are staying it’s just all the non starter stuff below. I annoyingly had my in take fan die on me. We’ll sort of, it just keeps tripping the fuse on my electric so I assume it’s from when I had my res flood onto the floor - I forgot it was there on the floor because it was hidden behind the res

Week 8 of flower is in the books and this show is quickly coming to an end. I said last week we had about 7-10 days and I was spot on at the 10 day mark. I was only wrong about the order. The cheese is ready to chop before the rest and the gorilla cookies, cherry Bomb and lemon haze will follow in due course. The cheese is a beast and it’ll take a little time to get it all run through the bowl trimmer. At least the big one goes first. Her tallest colas have foxtailed like mar, despite the late supercrop. You can tell where the sweet spot for the light is at about 10” distance from the canopy. Any closer than that and the tails begin to show prominently. It’s a good example of just how close you can get to these fixtures with a little bit of prior experience. It’s been noted for the next run😎👍😎. The res. is on an h2o2 only flush for the remainder until the rest are ready to come down. Not a moment too soon either - the pollen chucking project has stalled out waiting for these girls to finish and now that we’ll have a little extra room, we can start running our cuts in the aerocloner🤟. Not long at all now folks. Thanks for tagging along through all this. Learned a bunch about this system and we’re back to hardware mode to make some serious improvements for the next run🤙😎. I love hardware mode😉. Background/Repetitive Nonsense The strain line up on this grow is look’n quite saucy 😈. We’ve got 2 FB strains this time around - Gorilla Cookies (seems we always have some GSC cross in the works). Mainly because the colours look stellar and remind me of a sugar breathe we did last year that was 🔥. The other FB is their original Cheese strain... because we already smoked all our cheese... and we really like our cheese...😉. Emerald triangle was kind enough to include a freebie of Lemon Haze. Wasn’t really big on the list but we haven’t done a haze strain to write home about yet so worth a go👍. The last is a Cherry auto from Bomb seeds that we’ve been trying to get to for months. Let’s just hope that she’s not a dud like the last bean. The new digs for this run are courtesy MarsHydro👊. Their 2x4 single grow tent, paired with a shiny new 240w QB courtesy ViparSpectra. These folks were kind enough to discuss a collaboration and as a result, here we are to test out the gear with an inaugural run of autos. Each week, we’ll try to expand on some of the benefits of each, as well as any limiting factors or considerations that need attention when pondering purchase. Already I can say that both are high quality products in terms of overall craftsmanship. MarsHydro 2x4 Grow Tent: Excellent construction in terms of durability. Reinforced stitching on the zippers and corners ensures zero tearing. Conveniently placed screen vents and intake/exhaust ports. The ceiling exhaust port only exists on the right side. Perfect for me but not great if you’re running exhaust from the top on the left side (left side wall port makes up for this however). The aluminum frame is rigid enough to support the weight of the lights and accessories. Once you have some weight in the tent, she’s go’n nowhere and you can assemble and break it down in record time if moving or stashing the grow op. Only limiting factors I’ve noticed is that temp. Control will be an issue for a tent. It just doesn’t have the same insulating ability as a wood cabinet or other permanent enclosed space. No worries, this is offset by a small desktop heater and keeps the environment exactly where desired. The other issue was a production problem - the ceiling vent was accidentally stitched into the corner seams on the assembly line. Again, no real issue - just pulled it out with no damage or fraying to the tent or port👍. Closest comparable to it that I’ve seen would be spiderfarmers line of qbs. They feature the same top-o-the-line components and roughly similar spectrums. Where VS takes the advantage is in the convenience of the dimmer nob which is easily accessible and works great at 50% with no strobing👍. The heat sink is also larger which contributes to lower temps. That’s not a good thing in my case but beneficial for most folks. I can already say that this will be a great fixture through all stages of growth. Where I know this light will excel will be in the veg. Stage for sure. Dimming function gives seedlings a much better chance of success with the ability to use lower lighting levels early on and the coverage area on a 240w is great. The average grower will find this panel suitable and fitting to their needs in a 2x4 grow space although I’d suggest 2 units if going any larger than that. The total output in this space equates to about 30w/sq.ft. Which is a decent amount of coverage based on power vs. Growprint. Ideal for veg. Certainly but, in flower - I tend to run closer to 50-60w/sq.ft to achieve higher yields. Again, similar fixtures have performed admirably in the past and while this wouldn’t be considered an “entry-level” fixture, I’d recommend that any grower new to the game not skimp on lighting and start with one of these. The price points are a great value for quality LED tech. These days, so there’s little reason to even consider a lesser fixture👍. I have no detail on limiting factors for this light as yet but have heard that stock branded fixtures don’t necessarily incorporate enough red diodes. I’ve seen no issue myself but confess - I’m no lighting guru. Well week 7 has seen a real amount of growth all which looks really healthy... white hairs are popping out from everywhere and I maybe wrong but I can see around 8 or 9 healthy looking bud sites. They seem to be loving the conditions and absolutely zero problems with soil and nutrients etc... Heres to hoping week 8 goes aswell as this one... Stay safe guys and girls and happy growing...
