Week 7 was awesome! She finally took off into flower and has started to put on visible inflorescence. This was a great development as I was afraid I was going to have to manually flip her. This means I can finish the run outdoors as planned and wont have to contend with fitting her in the tent with the photos who are currently finishing their run. I continued some light LST this week and it looks like I wont be able to train her into quite as pronounced of a spiral as I had hoped as she is going to need to have her apical meristem turned up to follow the lower branches that have now surpassed it in height. This is not a big deal though as the canopy still looks great and I am happy with how she turned out. I think she is set up for a nice finish. She continues to exhibit strong growth and a hearty resistance to outdoor conditions here that can often take weaker genetics of any species down in a heartbeat. I'm not sure if it is typical for this cultivar to flower so late in the run but I can't say I mind it that much. The extra veg time will make for a strong harvest, I think. I've been most impressed with Dinafem's gear so far. Definitely top notch. I'm already most the way through week 8 and can't wait to show you guys what she's done in the next update. 7/24/23 - Day 42 - Ok, so where to start? I'm going to go over the last couple days of issues/troubleshooting. We had an issue with the lights not coming on for a whole day/night cycle. That was a couple of days ago, and everything seems okay since then. I had some Canoeing/tacoing on the leaves once the lights were back on. I think I had the PH too low, 5.8. In flower, I should start moving it up the scale. Once I corrected the PH to 6.2, the canoeing/tacoing in the leaves seemed to be gone/almost gone. I'm REALLY worried about the height of the plant. She is only 12 in. from the light that I cannot move. I added a second scrogg net???? I don't know if that's done a lot, but I'm going to try and stop if from growing straight up. I think the best I can do is give it a lean. So Ill call this the ScoggGL (GangstaLean). You'll see some pictures up top as I start the ScoggGL I did the first big trim and pulled a 3-gallon bucket of fan leaves out. I cut off a few side branches I didn't want the plant to waste energy on. I trimmed so many leaves off it was crazy. The smells have been awesome! You all know the smell of the fresh plant stems and leaves as you trim and rub across them. It's one of my favorite smells, which is in full effect. I noticed that I have some pistils growing. I know what that means, shes going to have some flowers here in the next week. I couldn't be more excited!!!!! The roots are just downright ruthless; they have been growing out of control. I have a great picture of them in there with no water. I should note that I did two things that might have solved the Tacoing in the leaves. It could have been one or the other, but it also could be a combo of both things. I did the trimming to get some airflow between the leaves and changed the target for my PH from 5.8 to 6.2. When moving into flowering, I should have already done that. But I did both things while the leaves were Tacoing, and now they are not. I wanted to make sure I noted that. 7/26/23 - Day 44 - Things are looking great. No more tacoing, she's growing and still drinking about 2+ gallons a day of water. I hope the vertical growth stops soon, I want to remove a ton more fan leaves, and I'm hoping that it spends more time growing around than up, I'm keeping some leaves on just to slow some vertical growth. 7/27/23 - Day 45 - She's sleeping right now, but I will chop some more fan leaves when she wakes up. She's growing too tall, and I need to find a way to stop her. I think shocking her system will help stunt her growth. How crazy is this, what a conundrum I'm in. Normally I stress out trying to find the right time to trim to avoid stunting growth. I always keep my plants busy and do one or two chops. I think they need to grow as mother nature intended. Let them grow and do one, maybe two fan leave chops. That's always been my motto and its always worked out great for me. This is now the exact opposite. Feels weird even thinking about it, doing a leave chop two weeks into flower..... ARE YOU INSANE!!!!!! Lol The 2nd chop has happened. I took a ton of fan leaves off. It's time for the plant to slow down heal and start working on the buds! Let's see how this goes over the next couple of days. I added a timelapse of me chopping her up. 7/28/23 - Day 46 - After adding more water last night, I was checking PH, and I did a quick check on the ppm from the nutes. If it went from 600ppm down to 130ppm in a couple of days. So we decided to give her another dose of nutes so she has something to eat. I'll update you after she wakes up for the day. overall very satisfied with the results and can't wait for the drying and curing to finish so i can lit one up!! the growing process wasn't that hard until she stressed during one of the training sessions and i had to cut off 2 colas during the veg cycle. for my first harvest ever i'm pretty happy with this little beauty:) day 2 of drying: weight dropped by half. total is now 50g and there's some more to loose 🙈 started curing the buds after 4 days of drying- overall 20g of dried buds ------ first taste 👅 (2 weeks curing): man it was worth waiting for an acceptable curing time before digging in, i tried it twice before and i have to say that curing plays a huge role when it comes to flavors, scents and high (so basically all the aspects that matter). wasn't even close to what i'm experiencing right now. great high, the taste is great with yummy fruity aftertastes. also looks like the volume of the buds have decreased by about 30-40% but they got denser will wait some more to see how curing benefits this one! ------- update 11/19/20 i had the trimmed leaves freezes so i decided to make some coconut infused RSO

The rest are still going good only 1 hiccup that was my fault damaged 1 plant it happens but atleast my tents still full looking to upgrade to bigger tent

This is her 3rd week now, and I cannot believe how fast she is growing. I am only putting in half the recommended dose of nutrients due to previous issues. I will increase the dose in about a week. This is becoming a real pleasure to grow.

One of the 5 is still growing like crazy and it's not letting the camera see her sister! I started with almost all the botanicare products and the ladies just jumped a couple inches since it's feed. They love the high temperature and an upish humidity around the 60s in RH% Considering changing light schedule in 3 weeks instead of 5, for a total of 6 weeks vegetative instead of 8 total being two months. Any comments suggestions let me know peps!

First off, that mf holds it's name very well. The smell on that strain is phenomenal. Much of fruity citrus and earthy notes and that's without the curing. I smoked a bit to get a taste. Smoke and taste quite harsh but that should go away with the curing. I harvested 634g wet, including a lot of stems, and ended up with 121g dried. they lost 80% of their mass and I might have over-dried them since I expected to get more tbh. However that's more than enough to get me through next harvest. The 3 plants turned out to be pretty different phenotype. All over pretty great but one could have used denser buds. They don't have the same maturity which means I got buds for all occasions. Kept the trimmings in the freezer for an hour and also harvested 0.67g of kief with a 220 micron bag. A lot of impurities but that was to be expected. I don't think the calcium problem has had a significant impact. Overall very happy with the product and the experience.

This has been smooth sailing this week.. plants needing minimal attention, gave a foliar feed with a weak cal/mag/nitrogen mix. Am about to drop the tank and flush for a day and then redose with nutes. Trialing a bi-weekly flush this time.. see how it goes.

Beginning of week 5 and I finally started to LST the lady's. Had to give time for blueberrys recovery from getting FIMed lol. To be honest I'm gonna let them grow another week and transplant week 6 into there final pots. So this week will be the start of a very long and dedicated process of maintaing a good canopy. Overall I think flowering should be 3 weeks away. Not trying to have a monster harvest on my first go around. My focus is to just succeed at my first grow and be proud of my personal stash at the end of this awesome journey. I plan on starting a new grow after this one so I know what to expect and plan bigger and better, this is more of a test run to see if I can grow good weed indoors. So far so good. Day 30- Topped Alaskan purple.

Day 50. Had big plans, but postponed them to monday/tuesday. Will strip and heavy bend/lst girls, give them 5 days and i think they will be ready for flower. Increased light power output from 50% to 70%. Girls got water with 0.5 ml/l Fish Mix. Overtimes and all weekend at work stops me a bit, but work is work ... Day 54. Girls got heavy training, started it even too late, leaves were too droopy. All went good, while last one was done, first were somewhere "happy" ;))) Pure water. Think to send them to flower this weekend. Day 55. And like nothing happend ;))) All girls are happy and bushy, one or two days, darkness and FLOWER TIME ! ;) Happy Growing !
