Bit of a crazy week so I changed her nutes 8 days later instead of 7. 12/22- 3 gallons, did 1.5 ml/gal of micro instead of usual 1.9 ml/gal bc I know she's sensitive to nitrogen so we'll see how she does. forgot to write down ppm. I think it was 600-650. Looking healthy. RIP Ellie. I love you.

Hello. This is the end of week 10 and the beginning of week 11 of flowering. The first pictures are of the tent opening in the morning. And I put it back each night. That allows me to go into flowering when I want. One more week of veg to go, before I turn it over to flowering. And it will be around August 7th to August 15 when I'll harvest. The plants have filled out their space now. and most are growing over the edges of the table. I plan to get growing tips going up this week. with a big prune/trim about 3 days before I switch. I like to let the plants heal for 3 or 4 days before going into flowering. To get over the shock I caused by trimming them up. Then they can go into flowering easier and turn over faster if they don't have to heal first. The smell when I open the tent is like slightly metallic, a bit sour ish, like some good Afghani hashish smells. Each plant got an extra minute of nutrient solution in the morning this week with no leaking out the bottom this week. And they will get another minute in a couple of weeks. That will make 4 minutes a day of food, and I feel with my fingers, when they feel dry around the edges they get a gallon or 2 of rainwater. They look healthy. No signs of bugs or pest. When I was opening the tent a few days ago I saw a ladybug, just sitting under one of the lights, getting warm 😉 and helping. My friend Jerry, who you've seen in other diaries, gave me lots of bamboo, some 7 feet long, to make a sort of netting to hold up the buds rather than tie them to the tent pole roof. OK. Stuff to do. Background Fingers crossed that these Spicy Bitch regs provide at least one male so that we can back build some stock of it. In the event that does take place we’ve got a single clone of each strain from the previous pollen chuck to sit in the tent with them so they can make babies for the next few months. The whole point of the last year was to start making some foundational genetics for a third generational cross we could call our own. If you’ve been following along than you’ll know that it’s been anything but easy. Our previous pollen picks didn’t pan out at all so we’re back to the drawing board with a new option from ExoticSeeds. This’ll be a 10 plant run with 5 regs and 6 strains for pollination including the strain itself. We’re running in a 2x4 MarsHydro grow tent all powered by a Mars Sp6500. That’s a little more than 600w packed into half the recommended footprint😳. Why? you ask - because we like our buds big and overcompensatory😂. Really, I’m just of the mind that we can pack more light into this space than recommended and get much better results. The math doesn’t lie. At least not as long as I wasn’t high when using the calculator again….. Many thanks to @MarsHydroLED for the opportunity to test run the equipment👊. In addition, we’ve also moved to a new nutrient system - Druid Nutrients out of the Netherlands. They don’t really have a presence on GD yet but you’ll be hearing about them very soon I’m sure. The beauty of this system is that it’s literally a 1 (one) component system for the entirety of the plants grow cycle. It really has changed the game in terms of ease of feeding and maintenance. It’s also very versatile and seems to provide everything needed across multiple different strains in the same ratios. Keep your eyes peeled for these folks. Pretty much a guarantee that they absolutely blow up once more people know about them👍👌😎. Strain Background Spicy Bitch: predominantly sativa, heavy yielder with a daytime kinda trip profile. It’s a cross of Queen Mother and a Pre-2000 AK47. We’ll pull what pollen we can and hope to have a female run out a larger supply of seed for the future. It’s been chosen as an option to potentially mellow out the high , shorten the stature of the resulting hybrid and inject it with some of that mellow indica effect. Boogie Nights - total shot in the dark. Still haven’t even tried the strain myself yet but it was available at the right time and interesting enough to make a salad with. Big thanks to AMS who’ve been nothing short of an excellent seedbank to collaborate with. Expect similar growth characteristics to that of the Northern Lights. Better resilience however. Blueberry - this particular clone is from extremely strong stock. Spliff seeds broke the mold with this strain. She’s lower maintenance than the NL, more resilient than anything else we’ve got on the menu and the terp. Profile on this girl is out of this world. If we can bring any of these qualities to the cross, then it could be magic👌. White Widow - garrghh, I just can’t get away from this particular plant. Again, still haven’t even tested the buds yet and all I can say is that the growth characteristics are extremely vigorous and desirable. This plant is one of 3 unicorns that I have yet to tame due to a combo of extremely bad luck and circumstance. All told, it’s still the same story: a VERY experimental breeding project designed to shotgun a broad swath of genetics against a reliable and dependable Breeder who’s put out proven fire 🔥🤟😎👍.

Looking good with one week to go to the solstice. Big veg growth coming over the next couple weeks with the extended sunlight hours. June 18: rain day. June 20: happy summer solstice. Tropicana Cookies was started a bit late but she’s doing fine. With the long sunlight hours at this time of year she’ll now head into the rapid vegetative growth phase that is so much fun. Expect over an inch per day soon as long as the weather stays warm enough. High of only 16 C tomorrow is a bit cool.

Hey guys, The ladies are doing great, Luke's leaves are slowly turning purple and generally yellow. Anakin is a bit behind and will probably take another 2-3 weeks. Luke will be harvested soon, the weather is just too tropical for me, I get almost 85% humidity in the evenings, which is just too high, I think this will be my last outdoor grow. Luke smells so delicious, a mixture of grandma's fabric softener and fruity lemon.

Finally, she has flowered. 😫 15 weeks and to think I almost didn’t keep her. Complete stop in growth and last leaves forming with pistils. She’s showing her colors

Will update in about 2 weeks with dry weight and smoke report. 08/30 dry weight of 105 grams. Round 2 was an improvement in weight, but the smell and taste are not present like they were in round 1.

Ok guys so she was bushy again and so we did defoliation again. You can see the difference and then after that started flowering even more Plus the fact we are increasing the amount of molasses added to the soil plus the floranova bloom nutes. They are very thirsty girls, taking around 1.5-2lts per 48 hrs So almost like a 1 liter per 24 hrs Very good SoG to make them feel even more comfortable Going to change schedule from 24/0 to 19/5 and see if they evolve! Thinking about adding some humus to the soil as well, other than that they have been under good conditions Temp is steady at day time around 24C top and night time is 18-19C minimum RH around 45-60% Mostly 45% control environment with AC Cant wait to see big colas coming soon!
