Harvest: Everything dried up to 347 grams + 96 grams of super high quality trim. Overall I am not too pleased with the smoke of the product. Although the bud size, bag appeal, smell and taste are pretty much all there, the shitty burn is a deal breaker for me and the majority of this weed is quite frankly useless. Another downside is while smoking I’ve found 4 seeds in an ounce from almost every strain. Light leaks? At least I learned a ton, including how to get super good burn for my next crop. I’m hoping that curing for a month or so will improve the burn but I wouldn’t really count on it. I have seen weed dried for 4 days with no cure and no flush smoke clean and not go out once. I have been told that the key to white ashes/clean burn is proper mineral content in the soil and there is tons of scientific studies on cigar ash going back 100 years. Plants grown in a medium with high levels of decomposing organic matter, phosphorus, magnesium, chlorine and heavy metal ratio tend to produce black/grey ash. Whereas plants grown in a medium with a higher ratio of trace minerals like calcium carbonate and potassium in the form of wood ash, rock dusts, oyster shell flour and lower levels of decomposing organic matter will produce a dense, uniform white ash that rarely goes out. But this is still all theory until I test it to confirm for myself a few times. My last few outdoor harvests did not improve with curing at all so I’m hoping this will be the missing link. Plain peat moss and coco clearly lack essential minerals that help burn. If said theory is correct I should find a synthetic nutrient line with more trace minerals. Makes me wonder if growing if rockwool/basalt rock could improve burn in a hydro setup. I think I did a fairly decent job for my first grow. I went wrong in a million different places but I still stuck it out and got some decent herb. Things went wrong early when I got black spot mold, nitrogen/magnesium deficiencies and powdery mildew. I corrected most of it but things didn’t get really bad until mid veg when I intentionally skipped a few feedings and defoliated quite heavily stunting the plants. I also didn’t even top or start LST until the 6-9th node which was really stupid and hurt my yield. My temperatures were all over the place from the learning curve. I was severely overwatering without realizing it. 100% peat moss is a shitty medium. I also fed way too late in flower (not what caused shitty burn). I also used synthetic nutrients in soil. They are going slow but steady. Holding back on watering to help fight the gnats. They were with too many last week. Some yellow points because of an 'on the limit' foliar feed. Nothing to worry about. Still very lush greens. I'm thinking the main reason for their slower growth, is the fan that is on high. My mission from the start s to get thick stalks and branches, to facilitate larger buds. Also, I'm pushing the SP 3000 to its max for the age of my plants, they don't have to reach for the light, resulting in shorter, bushier plants. I don't mind, I think the flowering stretch will make up for that and fill the tent. Still very happy with the SP-3000 from Mars Hydro, a much more constant and manageable climate in the tent, a dream to work with. I made a thank you video for @MarsHydroLED, of course, to also show off my music. I'm thinking one or two more weeks before resetting the light schedule for flowering. Her flowers are continuing to bulk up and are covered in glistening trichomes with those contrasting red hairs that look so killer! I watered today with 1.5g of de-chlorinated water which was then ph'd to 6.6 @ 72℉ turned her pot and shot a few pictures of her. 10/6- Today I watered her with 1.5g of her usual straight de-chlorinated water that's ph'd to 6.5 @ 72℉ and turned her pot. She's just starting to fade, is still stacking her humongous flowers, bulking up and has an incredible amount of trichomes which I'm beginning to monitor daily. 10/8- The routine of watering every other day continues like clockwork. Yesterday was a 'no water' day and I did a basic check over of the plant, removed a couple of yellowed lower leaves and turned her pot. Today she got the usual 1.5g of straight de-chlorinated water that's ph'd to 6.5 @ 72℉ and had her pot turned. I've also begun to check her trichome development with a digital USB microscope to try to identify the ideal harvest time which will be in the next 12 days +/-. 10/10- Well, Week Eight has come, gone and has been a trial once again of my patience! She's so freaking frosty that I've wanted to chop her several times but, I know from experience, good things come to those who wait... then wait a bit more. I anticipate that she'll be ready by the end of this coming week, and I can't wait! I've cut the wattage back on the HLG 650R to 500w at the wall now to simulate the way that sunshine becomes weaker as fall approaches due to the lower angle of the sun in the sky. This helps outdoor plants to know that winters on the way and they need to hurry up and complete their life cycle. Cutting the wattage back creates the same effect on the indoor plants, especially when coupled with lowered temperatures in the tent. I have also noticed that her water uptake has slowed. After her heavy watering on the 8th, her pot still had some weight to it and she was looking great so I went ahead and skipped watering her today, watering her tomorrow at lights on with her usual. Started Flowering today did a 24 hour dark cycle than switched to a 11/13 schedule. Things are looking super good!!

She is fed every 5 days. 8/5 I'm bubbling up a batch of pit bull Stew tea. This is my first time making a tea. Worm castings, bat shit, recharge, kelp, foxfarm grow big and rice water for carbs and starch. Been hearing good things about rice and potatoe water. 8/6 two gallons of tea. 8/11 giving the same tea minus the recharge adding 1/2 teaspoon foxfarm open sesame. Today she is getting a Foxfarm feeding. 8/7. She takes almost 2 gallons until I see run off. She was fed 24 ml per 2 gallons of Tiger Grow. I could have went to 30mls, but like to stay on the safe side. She is about the size I wanted her to be. I prefer no one can see her. Also how much bud do I need. She has been fun to grow. Next year I'm growing 2 outdoor photos different strains. This is my first grow in many years. I beat the crap out of this plant. Tying, pulling and bending. She has branches that look like a W. She should be in flower very soon. I been pulling off the obvious branches that will not make it. Then once she is in obvious flower, I will see if anymore need to be removed. I'm sure there will be a few, have to see what the stretch does. She got well fed this weekend. So I expect a lot more growth.

Smells like candy

Well well this week has been a week and im actually posting a day early. This have been good so since they are like ten inch tall and i know in flower that they will jump im height so i transferred them into 5Gallon fabric pots, took a few leaves off. Havent water them yet but i did flush before transferring. Plus the soil was kinda damp so ill water later on. Also i think im off a couple of week but since this is my first Grow recorded grow i am just getting the feel of growing again and work out the rust in my green fingers.. I am planning on getting another well two more led lights. Another 1000w and 300 watt cob light that should boost actual watts up to like 550 true watts. Things are looking good so far with the help of a few masters in here. So thanks again for all the help and love.
