02/20/2021 - Seeds were placed into separate glasses of water and left to soak in a dark cabinet overnight. Germination started.
02/21/2021 - The taproots have started to breach the shell. Transferred all seeds to wet paper towel to continue germinating.
02/22/2021 - All seeds have sprouted about 3/4" tap roots. Placed seeds into starter cells with Fox Farms Light Warrior soil.
I had to assist a few of the seedlings in removing their shell. They were beginning to stretch a bit from the shell encasing the cotyledons. I started under a single T5 CFL, which was absolutely not enough light for all 6 seedlings. On day 7 (02/27/2021) I ended up putting the CFL aside and turning on my 315w LEC grow light by Sun System (vertical bulb). After doing some deeper research I found out my LEC grow light can actually be used from seed to harvest. I made the switch just in time, too. I don't think the seedlings would have made it more than a few more days under the single CFL.
Yellowing with grey/light brown spots occurring on the Glookies plants (starting from the tip of the leaf). I believe it may be due to the Fox Farm Ocean Forest soil mix but any advice or input on what is possibly happening is greatly appreciated. Fingers also fused together.
Yea it's the soil my friend, Fox Farm Ocean Forest seems to be too "hot", this happens all the time, Fox Farm is great company though, I personally use their Happy Frog soil which is perfect.
I can't match them with any of the common pests for Cannabis plants. I thought maybe juvenile Aphids or mealybugs at first, but I'm just a noob. I've only found 3 of these near the uppermost growth, attached to the base of fan leaf/stem. Plucked them with tweezers and they crunch
