Hey Now My first educated ( at least a little ) outdoor grow, i will try to maintain a completely organic grow. Selected strains based on finishing times, easy to grow (hopefully), taste, THC, yield and one CBD. All new strains for me to grow, for the experience and, hopefully, to have some "spice of life" diversity in the cupboard Germinated in paper towel March 14 All cracked by Mar 16 tucked into some Stepwell Super Soil in 50mm peat pots with wicking mat in domed tray, hid them away in a nice cozy warm dark spot said a prayer and hope they all pop Cheers 😎 03 18 5 /5 all up, WC lagging a little but poking her head up moved tray to window sill for a little daylight 03 19 moved under 200 w led 16" @ .25% power PC was falling over so she got a little suport

Hey Now the girls are filling out a little bit and getting a little stronger, took the support away from PC she is holding herself up nice and straight now ( i gave her a little shake a couple of times a day for the last few weeks seems to have worked ) Thirsty !! maybe the peat pots but they get ~ 60 - 100ml H2O/day Nudging the light up to ~30 % with this current evaluation utilizing un feted metrics of the probable factors and variants under consideration against the progress in this temporariness time frame, i would conclude things are "Tickety-boo" (sorry inside joke) with the weather turning and the long weekend had some time to prep the playgrounds outside. my plots from last year all ~ .6m dia x .5m deep added 500g of Black Swallow's soil amendment/conditioner and 1 cu ft of 3:2 horse compost/worm castings, should have been done last fall but..... its done now Cheers 📅 Day - 📜 Note - ⚗️ EC -💦 PH -🌊 Water -📏 Height 😎

Hey Now I am happy with the progress to date. Growth is progressing well i think PC and BS are showing some yellowing of lower growth i think is a lack of nitrogen so they all got a little sea shower and a few sips of Plankton and Fish Hydrolysate, I hope that brings there colour back if it dose i will step up feeding this week with the peat pots they are getting ~100ml Dechlor H2O /day , seams like allot but I suspect most of water due to evaporation off pots Added some room to there play space 750 Sq x 200 partial raised beds on top of the 600 dia x 750 beds in the ground ~320 l (85gal) for them to stretch to full potential I just hope the added height keeps the dog out, and will make it easier to maintain the lawn around them will top off boxes with KIS Mix Blended Soil from Black Swallow Living Soils and try to establish a diverse cover crop mix of Buckwheat, Alfalfa, Clover, Lentil & Fenugreek and maybe a few Marigold to keep the li'l ladies company Thats all for now Tune in next week....same Bat Time .....same Bat Channel Cheers

Hey Now Girls are growing nicely, looking healthy first set of leaves on all plants yellowing (being discarded ?) lots of new healthy growth on all. They will need a few playmates for the great outdoors so I started 57 French Marigold Seeds in Peat pods (8 x 5 raised beds, hope 40 come out to play) Filled all the beds with KIS blend Soil from Black Swallow Living Soils (collaboration with Tad Hussey from KIS organics from Washington State) Foliar and soil drench with Liquid Kelp Stella Maris, Aloe Flakes - QM200X Organic and Zumsil Silica Monosilicic Acid added to weekly schedule Weather has been so nice maybe early May to let them outside instead of the 24 weekend ....we shall see Cheers

Hey Now and welcome to week seven The girls all seem to be doing well, maybe too well as the weather is still to iffy to think of letting them go to play in the garden for at least 2 more weeks and i was hoping not to have to move to larger pots before they go out but i think i will have to as i am seeing roots out the bottom of two of the peat pots today when they went for there photos using a folier of Fulvic Acid BioAg Full-Power Liquid 1:100, Liquid Kelp Stella Maris 1: 100, Aloe Flakes - QM200X Organic 1:200, Zumsil Silica Monosilicic Acid 1:1000, Yucca Powder ThermX 1:1000(wetting agent) weekly along with there reg feeding schedual the Marigold playmates I started last week 18/57 have sprouted so far trying to get at least 40, 8 for each raised bed That's all to report from The Hammer for now Cheers

Hey Now My little girls all seem to be doing well, but they are trying to climb out of there cribs, roots coming out of the bottom on all of them, don't want to transplant only to move them outside in two weeks ??? If the long range looks OK maybe i will let them loose next weekend, maybe with a little tent for the evenings Bumped the light up to ~80% they all seem to like it and i think i need to increase their diet as they look a little on the pail side to me, not as dark a green as they should be ??? Lots of new growth and obviously there root structure is doing well busting out of the peat pots Only have 18 / 57 Marigold playmates for the girls, looks like i will have to make a trip to the garden center as I was planing on 8 for each of the 5 beds (Next year maybe try 150 seeds and earlier)

Hey Now Mothers day and I want to get them out of the house, giving them a little taste 10 min Fri, 20 min Sat, and 40 min of Sun today These girls are all ready to get outside but they will just have to be patient, Mother nature is just not cooperating with low single digit overnight temps next week I am probably too over protective Keeping them on the same feeding regime they all seem to be growing well lots of new growth especially on lower nodes witch i hope will develop into nice bushy ladies come Sept Trimmed off a few of the lowest fans as they were mostly yellow and drying as they were done withe them i guess?? There little Marigold playmates i started are coming along nicely as well Now I just want them all out of the house so Mother Nature can take over Cheers All

Hey Now Gave the girls a little more sun exposure progressing from 5 min /day to 10 min , 20 , 40 , 2 hrs , 4 hrs , 8 hrs then the little bitches wouldn't come back in the house. So I'll fix them, I half buried them right where they stood. We'll see how they like that ! I'm too soft, let them all have a few Marigold playmates to hang out with, and all got a generous scattering of a five seed blend of ground cover and a good drench with 25ml : liter coconut water. Mother Nature is expected to be gracing us with some good weather for the next week with the 24 weekend highs expected in the high 20's, no wonder they didn't want to come back under that LED Now what and how much to feed them outside, the living soil they are in should suffice for a while, folier spray and compost tea drenches weekly ? They seem to have enlisted a guard in blue showen perched above checking them all out, hope this is a good omen. Cheers

Hey Now The girls sure are enjoying the great outdoors Should I be pruning back the ground cover, it seems to be taking over and my Marigolds have just about disappeared DOS SI DOS AUTO is my best guess for the mystery as i had one seed that never germinated and i think i reused the peat pod for some dill seed so that's why its with my actual herbs, added some worm castings and will give her a bath with something to boost her Nitrogen as she is showing deficient then just going to let it go and see as she is a bonus. the additional Glookies seems to be OK with just 3hrs of direct morning sun, all others get ~10+hrs full sun now not much rain this week all getting ~3gal every 2 days or when they droop a little Cheers

Hey Now All the Ladies are enjoying the morning sunshine and looking great Most of the week was hot and humid but we had a few overcast days with a few showers but not really enough rain for the the ladies. Watered twice plus a spot of Tea. Made a air lift pump and the ladies had there first weekly Tea Party. They all had a shower followed by ~8 l each of the brew. All seemed to enjoy so I started another batch today ( 16 l de-chlorinated H2O, 750ml worm castings, 50ml Fish Hydrolysate, 25mg Yucca Powder, 50mg Earth Alive Soil Activator Inoculant Bacterial, 125ml Molasses ) Double, double toil and trouble; Fire burn, and cauldron bubble. ... for 48 hrs strained/diluted 4:1 with de-chlorinated H2O Post pict's today I thinned out the ground cover so my little Marigolds could show there cheery little faces (there are 6 hidden in each of the raised beds) My Dos Si Dos Auto ? is still looking pale (N def ?) though still growing well, so ~100mg StepWell Soil Veg Top Dressing and 500 ml Worm Castings spread at her feet i hope will bring her colour back. Pink Kush has a odd leaf/node but growing very well and healthy everywhere else on the plant, so an anomaly ? not going to worry just monitor for now Cheers

Hey Now Ladies ... you are all looking marvelous. Growth over the last week has been impressive. Cooler temps and a few heavy showers and rain (right after they had there sprites and slurp of Tea). A little broadcast of 30mg K-Mag 0-0-22 offered up at there feet as well. Someone has been nibbling on there foliage (who can blame them with such lush looking plumage) very minor damage and i haven't identified the culprit yet! but if i get my hands on them !*#@^%$^& . ? Should I hose them all down with Neem Oil or just cont. with the Comp. Teas ? Next batch is brewed and they will all have a spot this evening. The ground cover is thriving, do I need to thin it out or let the jungle be as is (wife would like to see a little more structure for ascetics now that we can have company over). That's it , "just like that ?" Cheers 😎

Hey Now "Fill them up Girls" The lovely young ladies are filling out nicely. Rain or showers nearly every day last week so not as much sunshine as i should have hoped for but they are all progressing well. Cont. with the weekly Tea Party but they had rain 4 hrs after the foliar spray, try again this week and will also drop a little K-Mag for them and hope for a little more sunshine. Cheers

Hey Now M' Ladies Look Marvelous. More sun this week with moderate temps not as much rain, i actually had to water once. Weekly spot of Tea (Folier and drench) with some K Mag top dress I think the suspect Dos Si Dos Auto is showing per-flower witch makes cents time wise if my guess of what she is is correct. She is N def I have been trying to boost but the container she sprouted up in does not have much or very good soil but she is determined. Pink Kush has a little different growth with the white leaves, i was going to cut but i will let the little girl express herself for who she is. Who am i to judge? Deer have been snooping nightly, they taste tested my Sunflowers that were outside the fence that were all 1m tall and just starting to flower. Guess next year will keep them on this side of the fence. Cheers 😎

Pink Kush has some leaves with little to no pigment all emanating from one node site. The rest of the plant is healthy and growing well with no ill effects noted. I haven't cut the "mutated" growth out and was going to let it go just out of curiosity. Should I be concerned?

This kind of thing happens a lot in the horticultural world, it's how we get a lot of the variagated plants we grow in our gardens, it's not a problem, or would be interesting to see what develops from it, I would expect it to grow more slowly than the rest of the plant as it does t have the chlorophyll of the rest of the plant although it does t really look that way from your pictures

Hey Now The ladies have all grown over my head to over 2m, and bushing out nicely. Pink Kush and Orange Sherbert both have a little aroma (PK more pronounced). We continue to have rain or showers every day or two and with the Dog Days of Summer more than half over we have yet to get any real summer heat in S'ern Ontario. Cont. to brew a batch of Tea (foliar and drench) weekly, that is the only watering i have had to do with a little dusting of K-mag. Dos Si Dos Auto? is still looking N def so she got another top dress and i will foliar again with Stella Maris liquid Kelp w liq. yucca & BioAg Fulvic Acid. She is definitely showing she is moved into flower, everyone else is lagging but I think all will be flipping soon? Cheers 😎

Hey Now Proud of my girls so far, they may not have collected any medals in Tokyo but they continue to surpass my expectations. At over 7 feet I hope I can get them all to the finish line. I think they are all moving into flower. More rain the last week but I did water once 12 l each. All had a foliar and drench w Compost Tea and a second foliar of Marine Phytoplankton, Fish Hydrolysate, Silica Monosilicic Acid, Liquid Kelp, Aloe and Fulvic Acid especially heavy on Dos Si Dos as she is still looking N def. She also got a top dress of Stepwell Flower. Cut back allot of the ground cover post pictures to help with air circulation. Will continue with the Tea and fingers crossed for good weather. Cheers 😎

Same routine as last week, weather was a bit warmer but showers every few days so no need to water. Dos Se Dos auto still looking N def and lean, so she will get some more top dress to help with her colour and fatten her up. Until next week Cheers

Hey Now girls are all getting top heavy, like 36 DDD, was going to give them all some underwire support this weekend but after a heavy rain and wind on Thurs night found Pink Kush passed out on the lawn. Got her back upright and buckled her and her siblings up for the rest of the ride. Large tomato cage frames now wired to the wooden frame but they are only about .8m high. I think I will have to come up with some additional support and soon. Compost Tea, foliar and drench plus ~ 16 l H20 x 2, been Hot Hazy and Humid all week. Variagated growth on Pink Kush is flowering wonder what that bud will be like. Stay tuned Cheers

Hey Now My Ladies are all bulking up and in need of additional support. OS had a large branch split from a heavy shower Fri night and most of the girls were drooping precariously. Added some stop gap support but really need some more robust solutions. Cont. with compost drench and ~60 mg K-mag top dress and ~ 60 mg top dress Stepwell Soil Bloom (fish bone meal, dolomitic lime, wollastonite, basalt rock dust, alfalfa meal, gypsum, kelp, blood meal, potash, humic acid). Hot Hazy and Humid most of the week, 20 l of water once plus the 10 l of drench each. PK seems to have suffered no ill effects from her being passed out on the lawn 2 weeks ago and the variegated growth is budding with little to no colour although the pigment less areas seem to be overly sunlight sensitive and gets sun burnt and withers up, the bud sight is looking good the pictures don't do it justice, looks cool in person Cheers 😎

Hey Now Late update, busy weekend, Ball Tournament, (yes we won ...... C division but we partied, drank, ate and looked better than any A division team) The Ladies took a little neglect in stride and will have to wait until tomorrow for Tea but they continue to get almost all there H2O from mother nature and i made time for top dressing with K-Mag and Stepwell's Flower same as last week. Temps have come down upper 20 days and high teen nights. They all got some needed support as all are putting on substantial weight and are far from finished. Had to tie up a few more broken limbs on several of the girls but if they didn't break completely off they seem to continue growing just fine. PK's variagated growth is well into flower now, a little slower than the rest of the plant but looks cool. Cheers 😎

Mid 20 highs with mostly sunshine all week and only 1 heavy overnight rain so had to water ~20 l each. Smell is starting to pick up but nothing too intense yet. Cheers 😎

Hey Now Heavy rain storm last week for 2 days. I got some of the ladies sheltered but some took some real damage. PC took the worst but she was ready to cut anyway so took her in yesterday. Glook also lost a few heavy branches, she is close so will dry what was damaged and let her go for one more week. All had a spot of Tea but no more water. WC, BS, OS & PK all have frames now so can be covered from rain, I will try to keep them dry with shorter days and cooler temps to help lessen the potential for mold or bud rot. Cheers 😎

Hey Now All the ladies are so close but the weather is not cooperating, rain has hindered the harvest of DSD and PK. As soon as they get a few dry days to shake off the rain I will chop them and maybe BS too. WC and OS in ~ a week but Glook looks a little further back. At least these rains didn't do any more physical damage but i am woried about mold if they keep staying wet. Skipped the Tea this week as they have had lots of rain. Hope for sunshine and dryer days now to finish. I don't know what I will do with it all anyway, where to hang and going to need a lot more mason jars. ( I know , terrible problems to have ). PC is drying, will add a harvest page for her soon. Cheers 😎

Hey Now Bitter Sweet Cutting them down after all the work is a satisfying relief that they made it to harvest, but i don't want to see them finished, thankful for the amazing harvest, what am i going to do with them all to hang and dry , and OMG that's a lot of work to process it all. Cut Dos Si Dos, Wedding Cake, Blue Shark and Pink Kush all are hanging inside to dry. Leaving Orange Sherbet and Glookies for another week. Temps are still warm and hopefully not much rain until i have some more time to drop them as well. Cheers 😎

Hey Now Just like that, that's it, that's all. Weather was calling for more rain and lower temperatures and i don't want to tempt fate with a chance of mold or anything. All hanging with a few fans RH 60 - 70 % ~22 C Will start HARVEST !!! pages soon

Nice one, I see you use A LOT of aquatic stuff ( I mean I like kelp, spirulina). I'd imagine you might potentially have calcium, magnesium, phosphorus (maybe sulphur) issues though. As that (aquatic) stuff usually has lots of nitrogen. Now, I dunno what your base soil is like, but just something you might wanna consider. But it does look like you got some imbalance issues there (though I can't be sure what that damage is from). Citric acid might be useful in mobilizing organic phosphorus in your soil, extra carbs (some sugars, char) might be useful too (as I'm guessing you might have heat/internal energy issues, coz you're growing in Canada). In terms of foliar sprays, that could be very useful, but it depends on what you're gonna use and the relative nutrient status. Something like Lactic Acid Bacteria is sort of neutral, non-damaging though. Personally, I'd also recommend you mulch (as well as adding some more soil, though not directly against the base) for some additional root heat. Cheers, gl.

@High_from_The_Hammer, crosby's molasses or Atantean products plant food(molasses base and Canadian) is what i'm using to water with occasionally and gaia green power bloom and sea marin compost mixed into the soil...it's warm here in NS same up there no doubt and it's week 8 for me,first grow...so far so good...good luck with the grow, nice plants...hope to have that many someday lol😀

@sir_isO, I take no credit for the soil mix, Shout out to Black Swallow Living soils in Branford who work with Tad Hussey from KIS organics out of Seattle , combined with a weekly foliar spray and drench of a compost Tea (recipe from https://blackswallowsoil.com/ Compost tea and microscope guru Tim Wilson great people and resource) check out there blog and podcasts Cheers😎

@High_from_The_Hammer, I mean, I used to use more things along with the clay in my yard. But instead, these days, I use simple amendments with the HEAVY clay in my yard. Like I'd throw some calcitic lime at it, maybe a bit of superphosphate, kelp and molasses....and I'd still rather comfortably get 14ft+ plants. To be fair, there are a couple of things I would add if I could, but I don't have the means. Like insect frass (woudlouse or something similar), yeast, maybe a bit of basalt and maybe some amaranth meal/sprouts or something.
