Grew Early Miss before but failed at the drying and curing process. Germination was smooth, 24h water cup followed by 12h paper towel. Popped out of the soil after 3 days. That is when I start counting the days. Watered about 1/2L when dry. Light at 30” and 20% intensity.
Good looking plant. She is the shortest in the tent so far but that is no problemo. I’ll probably be able to do some LST on her around mid next week. SF4000 at 30“ @ 60% intensity. Watered about 1L when dry.
Water 2 times this week, 2L each time. The second watering was a worm casting tea. (Worm casting, Kelp meal, Alfalfa meal, molasses and Miicrobial Mass) all sat in a 5 Gallon for about 30 hours and I used a aquarium bubbler to aerate the mixture.
Top at day 22 plus some LST maintained all week. I topped this one but she was already short so if that the end she stay short I know it's not caused 100% on the topping.
Temperature was getting too hot in the tent so I turned on my air intake. RH is now around 45%.
Light intensity got raise at 80%. Still at 30" from plants.
Top dressed mid-week with 4 Tbsp of 2-8-4 and 1 Tbsp of 4-4-4 in a 5 Gallon fabric pots, so 1 Tbsp per Gallon. Also add 1/5 worm casting from the tea on top with the nutes.
Water 2 times - Average PH6.5 - 2L each time
Same temperature and RH than last week 21/23C and 45%
I moved the light from 30" to 26" and raised the intensity to 100% (SF-4000)
I installed a net mid-weed. Hole size 3.5"
On the last day of the week, I did a huge defoliation and removed all lower buds sites.
Not sure if this week is consider flower but there is white pistil all over.
She is doing very well and grow with vigor. Hopefully she will keep doing great after the defoliation I did on her today.
Water 3 times 2L, PH'd at 6.4/7.5/6.6.
Gave her a Worm Casting Tea mid-week (Worm casting, Alfalfa Meal, Kelp Meal, Miicrobial Mass, Molasses)
I did a little bit of LST and defoliation. I tried to removed the lower buds and branches that were not going to give much anyway.
She is doing her things and she is not a trouble in my tent.
I keep my light at 26'' from the top of the canopy, the light is at 100% intensity.
Good week,
first time my plants are not turning yellow at flower stage so that is good.
Water 4 times 2L/2L/2L/1L at around 6.5ph. I could have wait to water tomorrow instead of 1L today.
Top dressed at the beginning of the week with 1Tbps/G of 2-8-4 (Gaia Green Power Bloom) also add 1Tsp of Cal-Mag/G of water just precautionary during one watering.
She has some light nutrient burns on tips of leaves (yellow tips).
Light is still maintained at 26" at Max intensity.
Watered 3 times, 2L at around 6.5 Ph.
Her buds are developing different than the other but so far so good. Finger crossed that the buds will be dense like my other Early miss I grew last time.
The Samsquanch in my tent take a lot of space and my light is just a SF4000. I think having more space she would have grew way bigger.
Light nutes burn or light burn on tips of leaves .
Watered 2 times, 2L at PH 7+/6.6
Her first watering was a Worm Casting Tea that I don't PH, brewed for 26h (same recipe than last time)
Second watering I had 2 Tsps of Cal-Mag in a 5 Gallon just preventive.
I did some defoliation and I removed the net from my grow (the net was not doing much for the Early Miss)
Temperature raising up to 27-28C. I will be adding some AC next week.
Buds are maturing nicely. Weird bud formation but promising.
Watered 3 times 2L at 6.4/6.6
Raised the light to cover more area. Light at 100% at around 36"/40".
Topped dress mid-week with Gaia Green Power bloom 2-8-4 at 1 Tbsp./G medium.
Installed an A/C unit to cold down the tent at around 19C during light time.
I had to keep my tent open because for some reason the humidity was going very high with the A/C inside the tent.
The tent was going up to 28C and I wanted something way cooler since the plants are at their ripening time.
Trichomes are mostly clear with some milky and no amber.
I started a worm casting tea for next week on the last day of this week.
It will be her last feed.
I am still not sure if I have to flush or not, since it is organic, but I had some harsh weed last time and I suspect it's caused by my nutrients, flushing or curing technics.
Watered once 2L before the big flush of 10L at 6.5.
No Amber trichomes yet but mostly milky.
The buds are not looking ready yet.
The buds are not swollen yet.
She will go at least an other week.
Watered 2 time 3L/2L at 6.5
- Trichomes: I could not find any Amber trichomes on her. Mostly cloudy/milky.
- Pistils: A few pistil are still white.
- Buds: Ok looking buds but need some time to get bigger.
I think she will go for another 2 to 3 weeks.
Pretty good week. Harvested at the end of week 13 (day 91).
Water one time 2L at 6.5.
No period of darkness. I did that to half of my plants to see if it's actually make any difference at the end.
The buds are elongate rather than being large. She still has a few white hair but the trichomes are on point with a few ambers. I would have kept her an other week but I needed to harvest the other plants in the tent.
The plant is now hanging in my tent at around 50% RH and between 18-20C.
Next week I will update with the harvest/drying.
Beautiful smell, fruity and cheesy (to me)
The buds look great, the smell is awesome.
I love growing this strain. It was quite easy. I grown it before but ruined it with my drying/curing technique so hopefully this time it's dial in properly.
Dried for about 9 days at a steady 55% RH and 20C.
I had to put an humidity pack in the jar because the buds are sitting at 55% RH in the jar.
Update:
Taste is far from being as good as the smell and look. I thought this strain would have been different now that I know how to grow but the terpene are just not as strong as other strains I grew. A bit disappointed but still a good buzz.
Will grow again but won't be buying more seeds from this strain.
