My 1.2m² veg tent contains small mother plants, a propagator for clones and 4 x dwc buckets. I'm using a 240w GN Telos 8 LED (cree) and I'm sure I can squeeze an auto in the corner and get a decent result. Only one way to find out ... 😊
Had to plug my 250w MH back in to give some extra warmth in veg. The weather is warming up now so it won't be long before the Telos 8 is back in action
It's easy to notice in DWC, after the initial root growth the plant really starts to grow rapidly. However I've plugged the 240w LED back in due to warmer weather but tent temp is only around 23°c, which seems to be slowing growth. I should really learn to be more patient 🤣 might have to switch back the the MH 250w for more heat (again)
Initial growth has been slow due to temps being too cool (22-23°c). I should've stuck with the 250w MH a little longer for extra warmth. They seem to do much better around 24-25°c+. Anyhow, she seems to be growing nicely now and it'll soon be time to switch to the full spectrum LED. In 2 weeks I'll have a space coming up in the bloom tent so there's always the option to put her in there on 12/12
My diary is a bit out of sync, it's actually day 31 now and I'm starting to see pistils appearing so I've switched back to the the Telos 8 240w LED as it's full spectrum. Luckily the weather is warming up now so hopefully I can leave this light running over the summer.
The Critical is growing well considering her low temp vegging. Hopefully those spindly branches will thicken up enough to support some nicely stacked colas 😁
Everything seems ok apart from a little bleaching on top of a few colas. I've also found this happening on another plant in the tent. It must be my new Telos 10 Pro slim LEDs. I'll have to try keep the light a little higher.
Sorry for the lack of updates, I keep forgetting to take my phone when feeding and checking on my ladies. The weeks may be out of sync but she's about 10 days left on paper
Flushing out now last couple weeks with plain tap water.
The plant on the whole is fairly small compared to the photoperiod plants around her. Buds are nice but quite small.
I think this is due to cold temps in veg (my fault as I used LED too soon). Also the lights were only on 12/12 in bloom as opposed to 18/6 etc. I had space issues in the veg tent and room in the bloom tent.
All in all this was a test to see if I can run an auto in my veg tent. I think the conclusion is that there just isn't enough space.
Stand by for harvest results as she's ready for the chop any day now.
I hung the branches for a week in 60%rh and just trimmed and put the buds into mason jars. The buds are a mix of airy and dense. The smell is nice and fruity. I'll leave it in jars for a week, burping daily before giving it a try. I know I haven't come close to seeing the true potential of this strain due to vegging environment etc, but not too bad considering.
Nice bud production over the last week my friend 🤗
Not to much longer and its harvest time 🤘
Please keep the diary updates coming 🙏
Kind regards ✌️

I also run a perpetual flower tent, a 1.2*2.4m roof qube. On average I add a new plant (usually different strains) every 7-10 days. As one plant finishes, I move each plant along and another is added. This makes chopping/trimming a smaller but more regular job.
Flower tent has 2 x 240w GN Telos 8 and 1 X 285w Telos 10 pro slim. I'm in the process of upgrading them all to 10 pro which I'm hoping will give me a 50% increase in yield.
