This is my first grow. I read quite a bit of stuff to get to this point. Although I didn't start nutrients until week three so I'm pretty sure the growth is stunted. I was following the instructions for the seed supplier but I'm not sure if just water was the right answer for the early stages of veg. My question is there any advantage to feeding twice a week rather than feed once and water when needed.

To properly water/feed coco you need to watch your runoff ec and ph after every water/feed. Keep it within proper ec and ph range for veg/flower for age range. Feed when nutes lowering, flush when rising. Ph going out of whack, then water with proper ph until you get it where it needs to be. Cheers

Fed the plants this morning I cut the nutrients in half, I'll give the second half later in the week. RO water with TDS 590 and PH 5.6. going in. Run off TDS 315 PH 7.1. (that seems high)

Flower started to show up this week so I changed the nutrient schedule to Remo's recommended amount. I am watering/feeding every other day so I split the amount into two feedings. Might have to start removing leaves, maybe next week.

Sure, coose any lighthours between 18 and 24...... they are recommended to grow under at least 18 Hours of Light. some Growers let them run uner 24 hours but in my opinion, everyone has toget a rest, plants too. So keep on growing

I split the nutrients into two parts will follow up in a couple of days with the rest of the cycle. All in all I think they are looking pretty good. I see where the LST is working pretty good although I did get a couple a little lopsided. I'll have to pay a little more attention to that next go around. I might have to up the water amount I had next to nothing for runoff. Each plant got 3 liters.

Yes people do it all the time. I suggest only do it if needed. Like an airflow issue or lack of light penetration. Your plants look awesome. Gl on the rest of the grow.

Well they are getting water/feed every other day. I split the nutrients up into two parts for the week. Slowly getting the fan leaves cleaned up. Still seems like a lot of thick leaves. Two of them really stretched out this week.

Well another week goes by. I have two plants that are CBD Cheese they seem to be a little ahead of the Lambs Breath. I'm not sure weather it was the LST or not but two of them stretched and tow didn't, one of each strain. A lot of frost forming on the two and a nice big cola. Coming along nicely. The photos that look lime green were taken in the tent with the led on, not the actual color.

Seems to rolling along pretty good. The one CBD Cheese plant is taking up less water than the other three, but looks healthy just the same. I'm wondering if there might be some nutrient burn a few of the leaves have brown tips.

Little nutient burn. Not over the hill. If you use only water your every third watering, all´s good.

Still moving along, Not much change. Some of the leaves are curling on the two CBD Cheese plants. Run off was 800ml total TDS 1080. I checked the tri combs mostly clear about 30% cloudy at this point.

I added more water this time around. I did the regular 4 liters per plant and there was no run off. So I added another 1.5 liters per plant and got a little run off. It looks as thought there is some nutrient burn happening but I am also into week seven of flower. I think I am going to continue with the recommended amount for the next week because the following it will be time to flush with plain water. Since this is my first go around I'm going to stick with the formula from Remo. Next time I will adjust. Although I think I might try DWC next go around. Tri combs are starting to turn.

Flush 100 mll
Started to flush this week added tap water that was PH balanced to 5.2. Not sure if I had to do that but our water from the tap here is quit high on the PH range like 8.5 - 8.7ish. Anyway looks like the fade on the fan leaves is really starting to show might have some light burn as well. Next time I'll either turn down the light intensity or raise the fixture (thank-you Mrs_Larimar, I think you were correct). I wanted to follow the manufacturer recommendation for each growing stage, lesson learned. I am going to keep flushing with the tap water until the TDS of the medium somewhat matches the tap water that I'm putting in.

After the dry is done I'll be back with the actual bud weight. And when it is done curing a taste test. As far as the initial taste went it was fine, nothing spectacular. We'll see how the cure goes, if its good will keep some for smoke. Most will be turned into edibles.

As per my other grow this time around I'll report back. OK everything is trimmed and in the jars for curing. I hung the plants in the grow tent I think they dried a little to quickly. Next time I'll leave the plant whole thorough this process. First sample very smooth, heady high as you would expect from a sativa strain. We'll see after the curing process. One more thing I very much suck at trimming bud, hopefully it will get better.

@backchecker1, correct. honestly, that shit should be on the label but it's not... you're not the first , not gonna be the last, that's for sure
backchecker1
backchecker1commented4 years ago
@CRiSPrGrow that might explain the high PH in the run off from the last feeding. The mixture was 5.5 before and 7.3 in the runoff.
CRiSPrGrow
CRiSPrGrowcommented4 years ago
@backchecker1, yeah kelp based stuff is great, and it works fantastic , especially as a spray, but it also raises your pH, so it can cause all sorts of issues if you dont use pH down... and it takes time to start raising the pH, like a treacherous time-bomb 🚀

your plants looking alittle stressed byy the Light, i would dimm back to 50 percent... 400 watts of this powerful light is alot to them. you will see they will look much better.

@Mrs_Larimar, I am following the recommendation from the light manufacturer ( 12" to 18" full power during flower). The photos might look funny because of the led light. Next time I'll take the phots outside of the tent. Thanks for the help.
