22/03 began seed soak. changing it up from usual and testing local tap water. placed cup above low-set warming mat. aussie growers, these seeds were bought from aussiebakedbeans.
23/03 transferred seeds to paper towel method after ~24hrs soaking. towels are between plates sitting on top that warming mat still on low. keeping moist every 6-8hrs. after around 10hrs i'm starting to see end of tiny white tap roots breaking thru. will photograph and upload pics in morning
24/03 pics taken a little over 24hrs into paper towel method - tap root ready for planting. i've used canna terra pro for my first couple grows and have stuck with a g thing. filled and dampened germ pots, (a bit larger than i've previously germed in, ~500mls) and planted sprouts. have put humidity covers over and their drip tray is on low set warming mat inside tent. light will go on ~6hrs after planting and will check they're damp. since they're in w my gal at the end of flower this is germing under 12/12 bloom & veg switched on
26/03 progress pic uploaded
29/03 pic uploaded, bit under 5days since potted. this germ is p much complete, 2/2 and will start wk 1
15/04 back from break. both gals doing fine, one has faired a lil worse than the other i'd say due to it outgrowing a narrower humidity cover. beginning to up light toward 20/4 for wk 3. weather is a lot cooler, adjusted grow room temp. will upload pics shortly.
17/04 progress pics uploaded. transplanted bigger sis to final pot to end wk 2. will do lil sis in coming days
22/04 transplanted lil sis. spiralled a twist tie as support. still feeding at same half strength for these youngins
24/04 weather has been pretty cool and is forecast to continue. adjusted diary temps for the week. fed big sis, lil sis hasn't dried just yet from original pot soak. both looking g and thinking fim for big sis and big water in next few days ie. start wk 4
25/04 fed big sis. lil sis still damp from repotting
27/04 fed both gals. fim'ing bs was a little different to how i've experienced it before, almost looked like she had already been fim'd and split. anyway, gave it a go in 2 spots to see difference and did lil sis too which was as expected. pics uploaded
30/04 big water big sis. warmer weather forecast next week, will adjust diary temps up
01/05 big water ls
03/05 cooler weather settling in. adjusting diary temps. bs is drying out, will feed soon. ls still damp. got some symptoms of watering/nutrient/ph issues to keep an eye on
04/05 pic uploaded. adjusted light up ~5cm to maintain distance.
06/05 fed big sis ~750mls
10/05 fed ls w remaining half strength
11/05 fed bs ~1l, raised light a few cms to maintain distance
14/05 fed ls ~1l
17/05 sisters have loved this wk. it's weird to me how they're physically so different haha, progress pic & height uploaded. fed bs & began lst - later than usual as gals seemed a lil loose in the soil. training down has kinda maintained light distance, began shortening day to 18/6
18/05 ls feed
20/05 gals had a bit of weird light hours, back to probably 21 for a day but couldn't be helped. cranked light up to top of adjustable height. can get another ~15cm with removing the ratchet hanger and clipping direct to tent frame
21/05 bs feed
22/05 ls feed. gals are looking g and filling out their tent, adjusted some ties. will be flipping light to bloom and changing up nutes soon
24/05 adjust a few ties on bs & fed (remaining of last weeks' nutes). gals still looking g and switching to bloom on schedule. exposing gals to ~36hrs darkness to spur on build up of flowering hormone
25/05 light back on, fed ls
28/05 fed bs
31/05 fed ls remaining last wk feed. weather is turning full winter, adjusted diary night temp down
01/06 fed bs. gals were getting well under 30cm from light so removed ratchet rig for extra height
03/06 fed ls. adjusted ties. tent is well filled out. these gals don't seem to be rushing into flower like my last harvest, reckon that's partly cause of the strain (was relatively short flowering at <9weeks) but also cause these gals have been healthy and relatively hassle free from day 1. still stretching and this is feeling at least 10. i'm going to leave defoliation for at least another wk
06/06 eow and fed bs first lot of next wk nutrients %. adjusting ties whenever i take these gals out for feeding to keep tall poppies down/spreading. didn't get round to taking a progress pic this wk
07/06 fed ls
09/06 pic uploaded. it's been a cold start to the week, battery is currently dead in my hygrometer but i'd say w it getting down to <10 outside at times of lights off it'd be hitting lows of around 14
10/06 fed bs
11/06 fed ls. made a pretty much clear snap of a branch, which i've bound together using a pipecleaner and hoping for the best.
13/06 gave both gals a big water to end week. i've managed to mcguyver the light to gain extra height and maintain ~30cm distance for at least another month
*plan*
defoliation
12/07 fed gals. i've read flowering can range from 63-79 days (~71+/- days), ie gonna run an anticipated 10 weeks at minimum for these gals
17/07 fed, reckon this will be last feed
Beautiful plants, these look happy.
I love the beautiful dog cameo pics you have added in here aswell, so charming.
Good luck with the home stretch of your grow; I wish you a bountiful and heavy harvest. 🌱
@Themythicalchristine, appreciate it mate, not long left. happy enough, i have some of the same seeds to give this strain a second attempt with a few tweaks.
