DonGrowian Hi guys, after the Dos Si Dos Auto, I have another batch of Purple Punch Auto from Barney Farm here. It's supposed to be a nice and tasty strain with rock-hard compact buds. Plus, it's a real fast bloomer... in the auto variety, supposedly 55-60 days from germination to harvest. I'm a bit curious. About the setup: The veg phase will take place in a small tomato tent... that's where I usually grow my tomatoes for spring. 60x60x120cm Mars Hydro TSW2000 LED 20cm circulation fan 220m3 fan (dimmed) 18L pots BioBizz Litemix The flowering will happen in an insulated DIY grow box that I built specifically for the basement grow in winter. 100x100x180cm DIY LED panel 270-540W Samsung LM301B 30cm circulation fan 355m3 fan (occasionally dimmed) 360/480m3 carbon filter Nutrient series from Hesi & Canna Hesi Root Boost Hesi TNT Growth Nutrient (NPK 3-2-3) Hesi Bloom Complex Bloom Nutrient (NPK 3-3-4) Canna PK 13/14 (NPK 0-13-14) Cannazym Canna Boost So far so good... I've already started with the preparations.

DonGrowian So, now on day 12, things are slowly picking up speed. The girls got their new and final shoes today. From size 1L to size 18L. Fed with BioBizz Litemix soil, it should last for the next 10 days. Then I'll slowly start with the first cautious fertilizer dose. The girls were definitely well-rooted in the 1L pots, and it was definitely time for them to get out of there. The little seedling tent is now full, and they’re nicely sitting at 28 degrees and 65%.

DonGrowian A little update... it's growing and thriving. We're now at about 15cm. This weekend, we're going to give them a small dose of Hesi TNT for the first time, and then we hope they'll explode. We're on day 18, and I think the stretching and flowering will kick in in about 10 days. I had planned to be around 35-40cm by day 28.

DonGrowian A week later and it's hard to believe they're the same ladies. They've really shot up and I've basically reached my milestone. I wanted to hit 35cm after 4 weeks. The differences the ladies are slowly making are phenomenal. Under exactly the same conditions, the smallest is now 30cm and the largest has a massive 45cm. They're all super thirsty. Completely dry twice a week. I just had to water again because the ladies are starting to let their leaves droop and the soil at the edges is slowly pulling away from the pot. At the same time, they got fertilizer today. Half growth fertilizer, half bloom fertilizer, plus a root stimulant. In this phase, my last ones had deficiencies. And I definitely want to avoid that this time. Right now, they look very healthy.

DonGrowian Here we go again... 6 days later and it's really starting now. In the meantime, the ladies are around 67cm tall and are now taking up the entire square meter of the grow room in width as well. One is lagging a bit behind, but the rest are growing like crazy and simultaneously forming a lot of flower sites. So far, this is the most aggressively growing one I've had. Today I watered again... this time and the last time exclusively with rainwater. 2 ladies are showing slight nutrient burn at the tips. I think, though, that it won't get any worse now. The last fertilizer was given a week ago. I'll keep an eye on it, but they must need nutrients endlessly with several cm of daily growth in height and especially width. I'm curious to see what comes out of this in the end...

DonGrowian Here we go again... so let me say one thing upfront. The breeder's information regarding the total duration of the run is definitely off. I kind of knew that beforehand, but I wanted to test it anyway. The breeder states the total duration as 50-60 days. According to that, it should be done in 7-17 days. Definitive "NO"! I'm expecting a total of 70-80 days. Today is day 43 and I'm still completely satisfied. Ms. Merkel would at least say about this one lady, "It's a mutant." Meanwhile, the biggest lady measures 1.10m, even though according to the breeder she shouldn't grow taller than 70-80 indoors. Plus, she's forming extremely many flower clusters. But the others are also slowly getting really impressive. They keep being thirsty, thirsty, thirsty... Today the soil was pretty dry again... it was definitely time for water. This is repeating about every 3-4 days right now. Overall for 4 plants, around 25L of water. One can be excited to see how the buds develop now!

Well, I'm curious to see what comes out with the Mars LED; it already looks very good so far, nice dense compact growth! Keep it up, I'm following this grow, Barny's seeds are already awesome 👍👍😏😁

@MrSpooky882, Yes, Barneys have always been great so far. The biggest one is already 20cm tall. Tonight they will get their first nutrients and tomorrow they will move into the big grow room.

@DonGrowian, it's crazy when you think about when I sent mine into flowering, but they're not automatics. I always find it amazing how fast everything goes 😁👍 be careful with nutrients with autos, you have no "wiggle room" for mistakes when it comes to feeding or other actions... it's exciting, I also have an auto in the nursery, also from Barny's, but that's for my balcony project 😁👌😏 it's only the 2nd auto I've ever had, otherwise just feminized.😏
