This is one of three journals I am running this season. This will be my first go around with Pacific Seed Co and Mendocino Farms and I am excited to try a bank out from this country. PSC gets kind of mixed reviews, mostly from customer service. What attracted me to them was the variety... probably close to a thousand strains between their fems and autos. The shipping is a little slower than I expected. For example when I buy from Nirvana my seeds generally arrive in a week...from the Netherlands to Missouri, PSC took twice as long on two different orders shipped from CA. After soaking the plugs a short bit, I squeeze out the excess water from my Rapid Rooters plugs and pop in the seeds. After that I close up the dome and tuck this package away on my heating pad.

Sprouts are up. Transplanted plugs into 1 gal fabric pots for now, they'll go into larger containers (50 gal roughly)once they go outside full time. Getting these girls used to the sun early. My light is weak so I want to utilize as much sun as I can. Frosts are still a risk so I bring everything inside at night. Only lightly watering(about a cup per plant) until roots establish. No nutes yet.

These ladies are coming along nicely. The Alpine Star runt is holding on but growth is weak, chalking it up to an unlucky seed. The weather has turned nice enough I am leaving these outdoors and hoping they're getting enough light to not try to flip. Almost 13 hours(not counting dusk/dawn windows) in almost direct sun should be ok. Even running 12/12 from seed it still takes 3-4 weeks for the plant to reach a maturity to even show sex. If I was running clones instead of seeds I might wait a couple more weeks though. Gave their first dose of nutes day 8, kept it a light one since they're still pretty fragile. Each plant is getting about 2 cups of my dilute mixture, every other feeding is just straight water until I get a feel for the nute needs for these strains. Some heavy rains battered them down a little but nothing serious, they'll rebound with a vengeance with a little more sun.

To start the week pots are still heavy with rain. Should be dry enough to feed another dilute mix in a few days. For both strains I have one straggler, the runt from Alpine Star that has been struggling from the beginning and one of the Endless Sky that isn't growing as strong as it's sisters. Like the song goes, two out of three ain't bad. I don't plan to baby them but will let them hang in the garden as long as they have the will to live. Rest going strong. **In a last ditch effort to see if I can get the stunted plants to make a turnaround I have moved them into a shaded area to see if they can establish a better root network, will almost bet that's their primary issue

Crazy week in the garden. A cold snap rolled in forcing me to bring my girls indoors for a few days. These ladies are going strong on minimal effort so far. Haven't given any nutes this week and the only watering has been via the rain. I'd like to let them get a bit taller and then I will begin to consider transplanting them into their final pots and doing some topping. I gave up on the ES runt. Dug it up and as suspected it had underdeveloped roots. The AS one is still kicking, just forget to photo it.

Weather is much improved this week. I probably won't have to water again this week thanks to some mid week rain. Plants don't appear to be hurting for nutes yet so I will just let them do their thing for another week. I'd like to put them in their final pots soon but still concerned about a late frost. Will likely wait another week or two for that but I might consider topping some as this week finishes.

Topped everything at the end of last week, responding ok thus far. I also managed to squeeze a feeding in between all the rains. I included a pic of the runt plant of AS to show it's lack of progress and weirdness. I'll try to remember to take a pic of it's rootball, or lack of one rather, when I finally give up on her.

This week I will be working on transplanting all my photoperiod plants into their final pots to run in for the season. My girls will be going from 1 gal fabric pots into large plastic pots that are approximately 30 gal in size with nice sturdy rims to anchor to while LSTing my branches later on. The runt plant has shown a lot of strange new growth lately. One of the bottom branches has outpaced the top and the top itself looks more like a branch than a true top. I guess it gets to live another week.

Plants are adjusting to their new homes well and I've begun training. AS3 is coming along ok. Such a weird plant. Still haven't given any nutes in weeks. Too much rain for extra watering, but the soil isn't totally devoid of nutrients and they aren't showing any signs of deficiencies. At this rate I may not need to feed until bloom but will keep an eye on things.

Growth over the last week is impressive. I had been pretty busy and hadn't checked on them and was pleased with their progress. Still not adding nutes yet. Rain has been fairly regular and watering hasn't been needed. Some plants are starting to show preflower sites, so far my only male had been from some of my unjournaled random seeds.

A couple days before these photos I retrained the branches out more. Even though the plants are only about 20 inches tall, the canopies are nice and wide- on average about 2ftX3ft, the bigger ones more like 3X4. Will probably allow things to go vertical for now and decide if I want to train more at the start of flower. Still no added nutes, just rain.

Growth trucking along. Highs this week flirted in the 100s and they felt it. Should have probably watered a little more frequently. Only water feedings this week. I'll hit them with more nutes as the transition to flower begins.

High temps and wicked humidity has been the theme this week along with bouts of heavy rains daily for short periods. Did a light defoliation in the middles where leaves were clogging up a bit. Plants growing tall and all are showing their preflowers. I expect full transition to commence soon now that the solstice has passed. This week is supposed to be cooler and dryer so I might get to start working in my transition nutes.

More heavy rains this week. Plants are going strong with good growth. These feel like they're going to become monsters once the flowering stretch sets in. They should be entering flower any time now, though I won't actually mark it until tops begin to take shape. Still haven't given any nutes. This soil mix I threw together must have had a good amount of nitrogen already present or the nutes needs of these strains are pretty light because they've shown no signs of deficiency.

So much stretch this week! Including pot height the plants are now as tall as I am. Soo close to flower, pushing all kinds of bud sites but tops not forming yet. Several others in my garden are though so it won't be long. After all the rains I got a chance to let the pots dry out a bit and began my transition nutes to add more PK to the diet.

I'm officially marking the beginning of flower. If they run as advertised they have another 8-10 weeks to go....we'll see. These strains have been hardy and easy to grow, they tower over the Forbidden Fruit that I'm also currently journaling. Smells are beginning to develop but I think it's more the fruit than these at this point. I'm having a hard time containing my excitement for these, I'm expecting a pretty sizeable pull considering the number of plants.

These plants get massive with an extra veg period. I could see them easily outgrowing a tent if someone waited too long to flip. They've been super easy to grow and handle heat well. Flowers are still small but popping up everywhere. I should probably defol in the middles again soon.

Even though this has been a brutally hot summer these girls just thrive. Both strains seem perfectly suited for outdoor growth and heat/humidity hasn't given them any issues. The branches are thick and they need to be....there are flowers everywhere and once they begin to bulk they're gonna be heavy! The base stems are about the diameter of a heavy duty Mag light. I will need a saw instead of pruning shears when it's time to chop lol. Since I have to water more frequently during the heat I have only pushed nutes every other watering, though that has been more in consideration for the other strain I am growing which has been a bit more fragile. I honestly think these could handle more nutes with little difficulty but since they're going well no need to push them this late in the game. Had I been more aggressive with nutes in veg and had a better idea on their threshold I might have opted to push them harder.

The flowers are beginning to get bigger and things look to be filling out nicely. The heat and humidity continues to be relentless and I'm getting a bit concerned about rot/mildew, I'll have to keep a close eye from here on out. No changes in routine to report.

The heat, while not as bad as last month, continues. Flowers are fattening but they still feel a good 3-4 weeks off yet. The photo of AS3 is showing a weird developing top. That's the weird "mutant"branch that outgrew the rest to become the unofficial top even though it originates from the bottom of the plant.

The heat is on again this week. There starting to fatten up a little. I'll have to keep an eye on things heading into October, hoping these finish before the rainy season starts. If they run as advertised they are about 2 weeks away.

This was a strong growing hybrid that thrived outdoors. One did experience a bit of rot in places causing me to chop it a bit earlier than I wanted but it still gave a respectable yield. The buzz is relaxing but not overwhelming, it's a good one for a hike or hanging out at the beach. it really hasn't been jarred long enough for the smells to mature, so far it's a fairly mild woodiness.

Overall easy grow. Big plants with respectable yields. One did get hit with some rot that affected yields. It's been a busy month of harvesting This strain pulled a pound off two plants and I feel they could have pushed higher with more attention than I gave them in terms of training and feeding schedule. I didn't push nutrients very much at all in this grow.

This strain is high in THC, but carries a touch of CBD too. It's definitely relaxing. The way too early sampling was very smooth and piney. This could be my favorite of my three(well four really if you count the early spring autos) journaled this season.

Hefty yielder with a wonderful high. 21 ounce pull for a 7 oz per plant average. Might have been 8-9 but AS3 was a runt that killed the average. These thrived outdoors with rather minimal care. I'll be honest, harvest was rough. Between everything harvested I pulled nearly 4lbs that I chopped and trimmed almost entirely on my own. Lot different from the 4x4 tent runs I used to do indoors lol. I survived though so I'll quit my bitchin =). Gonna have to smoke more... ain't running out anytime soon! Thanks for reading, I'll try to remember to make it back for final smoke reports once a good cure sets.
