Just got a voost led 120w with Samsung latest diodes, ir and UV included with boosted 660mn deep red. Those Leds cost 150£ with postage! Could not resist they are so well made! Extra light and with a dimmer.
The first day I switched I saw the seedlings perk up and one who was struggling to grow peeked up and turned her leaves high up like never and since she doubled size and look like she will make it to be a lovely flowering plant!
Also it is turned on low, at 15% capacity and I doubt it will be turned higher, for veg it is enough it seems, maybe 30% later on.
I also got a 250w led from SGL full spectrum without dimmer for flowering, they have excellent spec for flowering, and all spectrum included ir and UV and 660nm.... they are built like for war, super heavy due to heat sink... I do not know their brand of diodes used, a secret... But I can tell they went for high voltage, 160 diodes at 250w, tested at 2.3 om and 1900ppfd at 12inch, they cost me 115£ but are 380£ I was told, I believe it when I see the quality of materials used in making this grow light, even have special lenses if I want to direct light differently... I am hopeful it will save electricity and money, also make my grow room safer... and even the same harvest! Could not resist! Fingers crossed!
Little after 8 larry Kush is growing nicely, she loves those voost light too!
Those new leds are very good for vegetative growth, and this larry bird Kush really took to those fast and increased size of her leaves in few days, and those are much thicker but I have to start bending plants and cropping them more because those main leaves are way too big and I am very restricted in height.... I will supercrop and bend mid week.
Growing vigorously and sadly I must restrain her because of cramped conditions, I must add a bit space... They are all growing big leaves and stems under those voost leds, excellent for vegging... Let's see flowering soon!
They are very happy growing in some westworld gardener's multi purpose compost, no pH fluctuation and I added worm casting, great stuff it gives some shine to the leaves coating, exactly like the beverage Kefir does to my skin! Microorganisms rules!
Topped and took few fan leaves off so lower side shoots have some light reaching them.
She is growing big, big stem and fan leaves, and tiny side shoots, decided to top her so I have more buds and less wispy side buds... Took a week for her to grow back and push bigger side shoot stems, wondering if I should top her again to make her more bushy....
Added a handful of worm castings and bat guano.
Just ordered another leds from Voost but a bigger one at 250w, they are that good!
I must do a grow room spring cleaning,.
Will scrub those walls with soapy water and spray with colloidal silver, let it dry with ozone on full for an hour!
That is it, until next week
Thanks for reading and following fellow gardeners!
Last week
before flowering ;, the cropping was successful and now side shoot stems thickening, handful of worm castings and bat guano added
Thank you got checking on my progress!
Lovely and vigorous, Larry Bird is a pleasure to grow so far.
2 days into flowering cycle.
She likes LEDS Samsung!
240w instead 400w, and I love them too! 🌟
Until next week all the best in your gardens too! ❤️🌹
I am really impress with this Larry bird, very strong and vigorous growth, and so pretty, from the beginning I like her, I am so interested to see how she develops her buds. Fed handful of worm cast and little dusting of guano and watered with 1.5l.
She is growing vigorously and big, very healthy so far...
Started to change into a budding lady, leaves are changing shape and many side shoots are popping from main stem, so much faith in her lol, I hope she does not hermy on me😁🙏
This "After 8 gelato 33' from Zamnesia is such a beautiful and vigorous plant (thank you so much Zamnesia for this awesome strain!) she caught my eye from the very beginning with her very elongated huge first leafs, not like those I am used to, so I thought with my wishful mind could this one be a unicorn?
Now after showing she is a fast and vigorous in vegetative mode now she is demonstrating what she can do in flower, and those buds are promising, even new fan leafs are coated with trichomes, very promising!
I have big hope for this one is a home run! Lol my unicorn at last! I can dream....
Hope all goes well this week!
Very healthy and vigorous hybrid, she did not stretch much, she is producing small chunky buds with fan leaves and sugar leafs coated with trichomes, very pretty and smells of pine and hints of lemon.
Very interesting how this one is flowering, she is staying low and fat stems with small chunky buds in the making, lots of trichomes on fan leaves and Calyxes will be fat and in a circular fashion exactly like a ball, or a flower like a rose.
She is very healthy and resistant to stress but on the low side she does not smell much and this surprise me due to her look but maybe terpenes will develop later hopefully! Just water this week, decided to water from the bottom, not from the top, I am hoping this will reduce chance of overwatering....
All went well this week, this Larry Bird strain is very healthy and growing chunky buds covered with trichomes, smell is pungent pine. Only water and defoliated lower leafs. Will harvest top buds in a few days just in case because I fear too much humidity for such chunky buds with big leafs, many lower side shoots still immature.
Harvested and is drying now, no strong smell coming from her, strange... But when I smoked a taste sample a strong pine taste!
Very chunky and lots of trichomes, not very sticky but strong happy smoke effect. Let's see after a 2 week fermentation and curing does!
Edit
Will continue this diary until flowering cutting is cured.
Beautiful specimen, she is looking coated with trichomes and so should smell strong?
Sadly this one smells of nothing but grass and cannabis a bit....
When smoked she taste strong of pine and has an indica high.
This strain would be ideal when strong smell is a no no when cultivating!
This lady is growing vigorously and needs very little help!
She also is developing beautiful buds under those Voost Leds with lots of trichomes coating her, glistening in the light, what a sight, perfect strain for leds, she is truly a beauty, but sadly she does not smell much, a creamy subtle pine mix scent...
This Larry Bird kush is very suited for my environment, she loves those leds and growing lovely looking buds, she is lacking in smell strangely, because when smoked a strong pine taste and creamy edge. Lovely! I have two larry bird cuttings flowering one is around 15 days behind.
The end for this beautiful and very strong Larry bird strain, it produced some really tight and chunky buds that are coated with trichomes.
Very resilient and almost spider mites resistant, only at the end she started to capitulate due to high demanding flowering and also the end of her life was near...
Terpenes are not the strong but lovely creamy pine smell, accentuated when smoked.
Lovely high, very stress free and elevate your mood, gives you a nice appetite and promote sleep.
Seems that your new Led is doin a good job! Congrats!
You´ll definately will notice an change in Terms of taste! Way better terpene production!
Good luck for the rest of the way!
Servus, Oim.👍
