about 10 days into flush now. just hit them all with their pre-harvest defol. should be harvesting Friday. blue cookies and bagseed 1 are on track. bagseed 2 will be early but it's mids so I don't care. cookies smells like sour berries and earthy cookies. very pungent. bagseed 1 just started putting off an ammonia smell with strong citrus and pine smells. bagseed 2 just smells faintly of sweet citrus. will update again when I chop them. thanks for stopping by my first grow. I think I've done ok to this point aside from the hermie issue which I'd like to think wasn't my fault as there were no light leaks or nute problems when it occurred. just the AC going out for so long was way too much heat stress. they hit 95f one day. and we're consistently over 90 for a week and a half. they did well considering. had a great time and learned a ton. thanks to everybody who's given me tips and helped along the way. EDIT: Chopped bagseed 2 at day 59. she threw pollen on lower branches that came from within buds. most likely hermied from nutrient stress due to early flush. oh well. she was mids. I cut her down before this next week made it a seeded mess. quite a few branches were affected. pretty much all secondary nugs. f*ck it. other 2 look great and had their last flush today (Tuesday morning). Bc runoff ppm was 42. bagseed 1 was crazy low at 28. Ph is high at 7.2 on both but not worried about it as there isn't much nutes left to take up. chop Friday for those 2.

First grows are scary, but exciting! Liked and followed! You're doing quite well and I think your healthy plants will enjoy the new light quite a bit. A bit more LST might give you a better yield, but isn't strictly needed. Practice at it is always good, though. Let us know if you have any questions =)

Thanks for the reply. I figured I would hold off until next grow for a mainline project. I didn't have enough room to train outwards this time because I have 3 plants in a 4x4x7. they got crowded really quick after flip. but I had plenty of room to grow up. as for temps I'm in an apartment. so my exhaust vents to the rest of the apartment outside of the room I'm growing in. (not a good idea to run it outside lol) so maybe a window AC would help me out best. Thanks again for the knowledge

@beginnergrower, if you haven't started LST in flower, don't start. I end up doing LST in flower but it's to keep them from crowding -- and the more right I do it, the earlier into flower I stop doing it entirely. Your plants are really healthy and under that 1000 they should bulk very well. There's always next round for LST =) Temperature wise, it's a struggle for me because where we live we can't put a central a/c in -- so we have 5 window units. I stopped having problems after I upgraded those. Coco coir helps a ton, the oxygenation helps the roots not shock to cold, hot, wet, dry. So does potassium silicate, though it's a pain in the butt to pH balance. Makes the roots stronger so that the heat doesn't bother them. Light stress and heat stress are super related and if you can't get the heat down backing the light off can help reduce symptoms. LEDs are just way cooler in general and I still have a bit of this problem, but I have zero experience with cooling HID lighting. It seems like a very real problem.

Thanks a lot Jon! I was thinking about some LST. It won't hurt anything in flower right? my one bagseed doubled in size after stretch already while the smaller one only stretched 6 inches. Evening up the canopy would be nice. also do you have any tips on keeping temps down? I have a 1000w hps with air cooled hood and can't seem to turn it up that high without hitting about upper 80s. Thanks for the help!

yeah my cat can't be in the room when the tent is open. she knows no boundaries and has taken out a few lower leaves early on. my dog on the other hand is awesome and won't even go in tent. she has boundaries and hadn't been aloud in ever. she waits at the edge. and eats a few leaves I clip off every now and then. Thanks for the tips though. always appreciated.
