Beginning of week 4 and I can confirm that I'm a killer 💀 I was hoping that the plants might recover, if I simply leave them alone for a few days and wait for the soil to dry out, but as you can clearly see in the closeups the plants don't take up any nutrients, which would be the result of them being overwatered. This also explains why they didn't develop at all and show heavily stunted growth at day 22. I was under the impression, that I was actually giving them very little water - half a cup/100ml every two or three days, but in combination with the dark rich soil that holds water very well that was apparently waaaay too much water for these plantlings. A tenth of the amount of water would've been enough I suppose. I'll still let them be for the moment and see what happens to them as I wait for my order of perlite, vermiculite and mycorrhiza to arrive, which I'll use to improve the soil for the next attempt at growing. Thanks for following this diary and I hope that it'll be of some value for other growers nevertheless. Day 23. As you can see in the pictures there's nothing miraculously changed during the last 24 hours and I didn't expect it either. Plant 1 and 3 don't look as bad as plant 2, but I'm very very cautious with watering them now and I only gave each of them plants three dashes of water from the spraybottle today. If nothing much changes until the end of this week I'll start a new batch with hopefully improved conditions and a better understanding of how to grow cannabis. Day 24. Just misted the plants before taking the photos, nothing else today. Still watching them and acknowledging all my mistakes that lead to their sad state. I made a contraption that attaches two old computer-fans to one of the vents in the tent, sucking in air and gently blowing it over the plants. I can regulate their speed if needed. Day 25. Nothing exciting happened. I still refill the humidifier and keep the lights on, but as you can see in the pictures them plants really don't evolve at all for the last three or four days. I guess the rootsystem is simply too heavily damaged. I'll probably dig plant 2 out tomorrow to get more insight into what it really looks like and get a better idea of how to adjust for my next attempt. Day 26. I took plant 2 and dug it out to check it's roots and the soil. As you can see in the picture, there's not much root-development at all. There's one long root that dug down to the bottom of the pot and very little root-development besides that. The soil isn't wet at all. It's light and airy, yet moist. I expected the soil to be more compacted from the watering over the last month, but not at all. So I can only scratch my head and am left totally clueless for why my plants don't want to develop roots and grow. The other two plants are left alone and only got two, three dashes of water in the morning from the spraybottle. They show no significant development. Day 27. This grow-diary comes to a close at this date as no more progress/development has taken place over the last week as can be seen in the pictures. I dug out plants 1 and 3 and they look the same as plant 2. Very stunted root-development allthough the soil in the pot looks physically perfectly fine, light, airy, moist yet not wet. I've started a new grow diary, which will hopefully develop better. Thanks for watching.

Good Luck! @Blarw I think you have got overwatetring problem rottening roots that also causes nitrogen deficiency.

1. She looks like she can use some nitrogen although you’ve already added fertilizer in the soil. Even at week 2, soil doesn’t need feeding but your plant looks pale. 2. The light is too far you need to bring it down to less than 2 feet. You have a XS1000, you can definitely bring it down to less than 2 feet. 3. Your soil is too wet. You don’t want to oversoak the pot because your plant is too young and roots haven’t not developed yet. It’ll become root bound. The rule is to water a bit more than the size of the plant. Once it starts to grow well, that’s when you start to water the entire pot. Make sure to have at least 10-20% drainage. 4. Every one telling you it’s cal mag is not cal mag. You grow in soil. Soil has cal mag already. If you grew in coco, then it could use some but even then it’s too early to have those symptoms already. 5. For soil, your pH should be around 6.5. 6. General rule for soil grow: you will feed every other watering. 7. Buy some root enhancers such as Mykos. It has mycorrhizae , it’s fungus and it will help with root growth. 8. Your temperature is really low for young plants. You want it around 75-80F. You do the conversion. 9. Cheers.

@MaryJaneUSA, Thanks for the detailed comment. So far I have have tried to water as little as possible. I only give the plants some 100ml/half a cup of water every other day really. I even suspect that the soil in the bottom of the pot is dry so far as I've never completely soaked the soil to begin with. The light I've allready lowered down to two feet now and increased it's intensity. So that should help I hope. As for temperature... living in Finland where it's still freezing over night outside it's rather difficult to heat it up as much and I allready have a radiator placed next to the tent to get it to 22°C/72°F. Soil and water should be ok pH wise. I used some teststrips to measure and it comes down to between 6-7 pH. The strips aren't too precise ofc. So far I've used only things readily available to me from the local shops, besides the tent, growlight and seeds which I had to order online. For the next attempt I'll probably order soil, nutrients and whatnot from BioBizz, but for now I try to keep the current plants alive with what I have at hand.

@Wimskeweed, Yeah, it's not going too well unfortunately. The leaves are pale and start yellowing. I just leave the plants alone for now and hope they'll recover somehow during the next few days, but I'm prepared to call them an unsuccesful attempt aswell. I have three other seed-packages to try a new growth with slightly modified conditions, if the cuurent crop fails.

@Blarw, I say because, I had almost the same case. 4 seeds, turned lime green to almost bright yellow. But they all bounced back. I moved them away from light, gave a bit of A & B and somehow they came back to life. hope thats the case here as well. Good luck

@APOLLO, I don't actively kill the plants ofcourse. The lights are on a timer and I refill the humidifier, but other than that there's nothing I can really do at the moment.

This diary is now closed down, as no further progress/development has happened over the last week. The plants simply did not develop, for reasons unclear to me.
