hello, this will be a separate diary for the super skunk auto already in its third week, I will be feeding different amounts of nutrients to this one than the do si dos and peyote critical i have growing on another diary on my profile. there's nothing much to say except it's flourishing and that it got a little leaf burn, stand by for more next week!
hello guys, its been another week for this little one but theres good news and bad news. good news is I invested in neem oil spray to keep the fungus gnats away from the wet soil that those suckers love to lay their eggs on. i’ve also sprayed it on the other two plants and the fungus gnats/aphids/spider mites were virtually none existent
the bad news is i accidentally over watered it and it’s been getting bronzed leaf tip burns (potassium deficiency) on both nodes so i’ve decided to just give it bloom nutes and cal mag with ph water and letting it dry out. the top soil felt crumbly but i guess dry is considered at least 1” of soil thats “dry” as in no moisture at all. hopefully next week will be okay and i’ll see some potential growth on all the plants. see you tomorrow on the other diaries, toodles!
hey guys, so it's week 5 for the super skunk auto and about this time there should be some flowering but at the moment it looks like it's in the process of growing out of it's axillary leaves and growing regular vegetative leaves indicating that the plants pistils will develop soon in about a couple more weeks depending on growth, after that I will see if it is healthy enough to top and start training. I plan on growing it a bit taller so the sun can reach the top nodes and i'll possibly lightly lollipop so I can get more top bud growth to it's already known big yields. I might even add some extra bloom nutrients from botanicare to give it plenty to eat once training is mostly finished. I will be adding photos soon since I couldn't take any today and logs will be a bit late sometimes for now since i've been busy with work now that covid has substantially subsided, hope you guys stay safe too, pce.
hello, this is week 6 of my super skunk grow and growth is getting kind of slow probably due to letting this plant recover with some plain ph water with a little cal mag and silicon. I did feed it with nutrients after according to the feeding schedule and it's reacting to it kindly. as soon as it starts to flower i might consider topping and later removing lower growth so i can get bigger yields. and as soon as the nodes grow wider and make the plant bushier in general, I'll also start training it. sometime this week I will begin doing so and perhaps change the nutrient measurements based on how its doing instead of basing it from my previous auto flower nute measurements. I need to pick a date to consistently log in weeks since I noticed last weeks log was almost 10 days late, i've been getting busier and only had time to just look over them and feed them if needed for about a couple hours but I will try to post on tuesdays, that means there will be an odd gap in the logs this time that will include a bigger update than the last with probably photos of early flower pistils. thats all for this week, until next time.
hi guys, i skipped a week-ish since i've done the same with the other two plants on my profile. i also need to mention that i've just been busy with work and other things that I don't have anytime for myself. nonetheless i still manage to take care of the plants when they need to be looked after. this plant has started showing pistils and looks to be ready to be topped, it's been about 2 days since i topped it and i'm waiting for the nodes to grow out more so I could try to start training it soon. there's been a problem with pests already in between the younger nodes and around the main stem, mostly aphids, white aphids, fungus gnats, and i sometimes see long strands of silk so i'm not sure if it's caterpillar larvae or spider mites. I'm checking it frequently to see if i need to spray it with neem oil every 3-4 days. now with more bugs around in the summer weather, it's now being sprayed about 2-3 instead just to make sure. other than pests, this plant is growing to be somewhat healthy and is starting to smell of lemons and fresh hash, I can't wait to see more bud growth, see ya guys.
hey yall, it's week 8 of flowering for this girl and shes growing wider by the day, and just as tall too. i've topped it and removed a couple fan leaves that were in the way of future bud sites. as you can sort of see, theres the browning and bronzing of the fan leaves that are really taking a toll on the overall health of this plant. this week i only did a cal mag and silicon ph watering for this week to let it rest but i think I just need to lower the ph from 6.0 to 5.8 at least in order to slow the nutrient burn/potassium deficiency, but i'm pretty sure it's nutrient burn from the extra bloom i added last week. I will be checking the health for this one by giving less and less nutrients until it's better and also going back to week 4-5 nutrient measurements until I find it okay to be giving it more and giving it a watering of lower ph levels to absorb the nutrients it needs for immunity. i'm not sure if training is out of the question but it is for now until i see improvement, see you next week
hey again, good news and bad news. i fixed the nutrient burn and the calmag works great with the silicon, also have changed the ph to 6.1 now that it's starting to flower. I also started training it and clipped a few leaves that were blocking nodes. I tied them down on the tomato ring and hopefully it'll give me a nice shape. now the bad news... I snapped the top growth when trying to tie it down. I thought the top could get the best use out of low stress training but one snapped almost completely off an the other a slight tear. I propped the more damaged one up so that it won't need to move much to get some sun, I'll be giving a little more cal mag and any nutes that will promote healing and immunity. I also got some botanicare sweet berry mineral nutrients to help with the bloom, i ordered a lemon as well for this but I will use a few waterings with the berry first and when the lemon arrives, I will use that for this plant. overall both damaged stems are fine and hopefully the nutrient measurements will heal it fine while training. welp, see ya
hello guys, welcome to another week into the super skunk auto. I have received the botanicare sweet citrus supplement and i'm going to be using that instead of the sweet berry from now on. i will also be lowering nutrients based on what stage it looks like it's in compared to my last auto grow, I feel like an appropriate feeding schedule will help with what i found to be slight nutrient burn on the leaves tips. I will ph flush it with just plain ph and a little silicon to help with repair. the stems on top i managed to save are fine and hopefully will completely heal in the next week. since the top two were technically super cropped the part where it tore has a huge growth and will develop a knuckle with possibly huge top yield, i guess what came out to be a mistake is a blessing lol i'm excited. pests are starting to get into the plant and i'm spraying it more often that usual, i'm also seeing a lot of butterflies and moths flying near my plants so from time to time i'm going to alternate neem oil, and bt spray for the caterpillars i hope not to see. anyways thanks and see you next week.
yo welcome to week 11 for this super skunk auto, so far i've given this plant a plain ph with silicon watering and the nutrient burn has slowly dissipated and i might give it another ph flush before feeding the according measurements but we'll see how well it's doing around tuesday-wednesday. I will be cutting out the nitrogen and cal-mag and now giving it a bloom friendly measurement. I really want to train the top branch but i'm still waiting for it to heal, I might post the area where it's healing just to show the huge knuckle it's developed. last week I noted that i high stressed trained it because i sort of super cropped it, I still stand by that lol. I'm having a little trouble with the pests but recently i've been spraying it every few days and the bugs are usually not present, i will be continuing this. until next time!
hello and welcome to week 12 of the super skunk grow, shes been doing good and i've been clipping a couple leaves here and there so all the bud sites are getting light but other than that i've just been watching the very tops knuckles connected to the main trunk. i feel like training the part that almost snapped off but i will wait another week of healing until i do any drastic. I am seeing dense growth and am hoping for large yields but as i have not mentioned on here yet, I do have another super skunk autoflower as an experiment feeding it only ph plain water and the occasional leftover feeding for the plant im logging in here. the one here doesn't have much pistils but i see large bud growth and maturing pistils already, i'm not sure if it's nutrient burn which is why i might do a flush first before the feeding, it is certainly drinking a lot so theres no problem with the roots a long with the hot days coming, make for a great maturing environment. I will be spraying it more often too since i am seeing more spite mite webs that i need to be cautious on, see you next time.
