Transplant into Fox Farm in Solo cup with bottom cut off. Laid on a bed of paper towel in a channeled gardening tray and watered to keep moist. Sprayed the top of the rapid rooter to irrigate the roots indirectly while the plants are small. Light is a single 24w T5.
Got my soil for free, didn't realize how high the peat mix was I think I'm fighting pH now. I can see where the peat moss has activated in the soil around the irrigation heads. I'll have to take a picture of that. Will make a fresh solution next week and raise pH a bit to see how the plant reacts. Have begun to defoliate. Stretch and screen next week maybe.
Man these things shot up! Should have started training earlier they're gaining a lot of height which I wanted to avoid with a sativa in the tent. Going to have to switch to flower a little earlier than I had thought. Am going to put wire mesh screen on to get a little spread but the stem has thickened quite rapidly and I might damage some stems. We'll see...
These things are shooting up. Some good growth but worried about height. Chopped them one more time and put the screen on once they poke through and I train them a bit I'll switch to flower, dump the reservoir and mix a new batch. That will be in a few days.
