These are some clones I was given by a good friend 14 days ago. The mother plant is a "Vanilla Ice" by Zambeza. She was a beautiful plant and a pretty good yielder. If everything goes as smooth as planned, this should be a quick and easy run. Clones are currently in 1L AirPots, making some more roots before transplanting in bigger containers soon. Clones have been transplanted into 5L plastic containers, this was an easy operation thanks to AirPots. Things are looking good, they went through their first surgery, some topping and bending to open up the plants. What I like with clones is they vigour, they have about the same vigour as the mother, which was 5 months old while doing the cuts for cloning. They grow at full speed 😎
Plants are growing at full speed and still looking good, roots grew so fast it's already time for a new transplantation. This time I did repot into 15L fabric containers (by Gronest). Medium is still made of pure soil (LightMix by BioBizz) then enriched with GreenBuzLiquids nutrients.
Clones are ready to become monsters, roots are exploring the fabric pots, while tops are growing vertically and creating new nodes everyday. I think it's almost time to trigger the flip, I'm limited with heights and these babies will probably stretch a bit. One more veg week and we'll jump into the flowering stage!
So I know I said they would have one more week into the vegetative stage, but after looking at my calendar, my jars, and the plant's size, I've decided it was a good time to flip into flowering stage. After 7 days into blooming plants are in stretch mode at full speed, everything is looking good so far for these Vanilla Ice clones!
Here we are after 2 weeks into the flowering stage, clones are still looking awesome, the stretch seems to be almost over, and pistils are appearing everywhere meaning I'll be rewarded with many bud sites. So far so good!
So life got me really busy for the last 3 weeks and I was unable to take weekly pictures. That being said, those clones have become real monsters by their own, I was just here to water and feed sometimes but did not took as many cares as I use to. Despite my lack of attention, they have expressed themselves with beautiful colors, crazy smell and some nice dense and frosty flowers!
It's the final countdown! My babies are ending their senescence, leaves are fading out beautifully and the buds will soon be ready. I'm now watching trichomes everyday and they still need a few more days to mature.
A great day smoke with some creative and uplifting effects! Not so hard in THC (I guess) so you can go ahead an have some fun activities while enjoying the vanilla terps! I really appreciate its soft and sweet taste. Plus it was a quite fast flowerer. If you're in the Skunk/Afghani fan club, then go ahead, this strain is for you!
This was so easy! I did cut some clones from a beautiful mother, gave them some veg time with a bit of training (more or less mainlining style), and they just grew by their own without much assistance. I'm very pleased with the outcome as it's a great all-time smoke and it can be shared with novice stoners 😎 Thanks for exploring my diary and supporting my work! 👊
