UPDATE - MONDAY 5th APRIL I used a glass of water then when I saw they’d cracked I transferred them to some RQS coco starter cubes I had. I also have some starting in some Root It! Cubes. A little disappointed the purple lemonade hasn’t popped yet but we shall see. It may just take a little longer. UPDATE - 11TH APRIL I didn't really mean to end up with 5 plants but I will have space so all is well. I just hope I get a big enough tub in time for transplant. I could just transplant twice. It depends how they grow and how long of a veg period I get. The fast buds plant i Have grown so far has quite a long get period. Two out of three of these plants are marked as XXL so they should be able to get nice and big in that time. I' d love to set up an auto watering system from the bottom but id rather spend the money and electricity on another 1.2x1.2m tent so I really can have a full supply of medicine instead of having to buy from the 'free market' In between grows.

UPDATE - 11TH APRIL Doing well so far but not much time has passed yet. 100% germination rate on all the seeds though, not just this strain. That's a first for me. Never thought that they need oxygen as well so I was soaking them until they opened slightly then they were dyinnfrom lack of oxygen! Duh. God the amount of seeds if wasted. Those root it! Plugs, I really like but atna punch the Coco expandable dehydrated pellets are fine. It's more about the environment and I never had a heat mat or humidifier before so I'm gettin much better results. The main thing is genetics though I think. These guys just take off! When I go back in a day or two's time they will be noticeably better...

Update - Thursday 15th April All good so far, boring part really until they start getting bigger! Update - Monday 19th April All is well, it’s meant to be a big plant so I thought, massive hempy bucket! Had to buy some more landscaping rocks as iv found they are the beat thing once rinsed for the res. They don’t go off and mushy. In other words they don’t break down as quick

Update - Friday 30th April All has been good in the massive 25L square hempy bucket! It’s a really heavy feeder as someone in the comments mentioned but not as heavy as the purple punch! That one is crazy in terms of needing N. Sorry about the lines on the photos. I couldn’t be assed to turn my lights off just for early veg stages. Looking good though! I did kind of run out of space for the second lemon pie but I have enough space to flower it in like a 6L pot, I just havnt transplanted yet Ok so there has been a bit of a switch around. The purple lemonade number 2 didn’t look too good coz I took way too much from it in topping. I could have grown it out but I was struggling for space anyway so why not just kill it and I mean you can see the difference in the rhyzosphere on the transplanted lemon pie compared to the pulled out purple lemonade. It’s cool I have another purple lemonade seed in the freezer. The plant that was in the pink washing stain remover tub is doing really nicely in the 11l tbh. Way better than the plant before it!

Update - Wed 5th May All is going good with these two so far, it will be pretty interesting to see the difference in size between the plant in the 25l hempy as apposed to the 11l. They look TOTALLY different but then again they’ve been grown in totally different environments and pots and everything really. All those small things you do that you don’t realise how much of an impact it’ll have. For example keeping the second lemon pie in the small hempy for longer than I ideally wanted turned out to be a really good thing coz the root system went mad. The big one is just more spread out as a plant in general an is also being lst’d. The problem is when I was trying to tie down the top two nodes I accidentally topped it. So I have a two line main line at the moment. We will see what, if anything grows from the accidental topping!

Update - wed 12th May Weeks been ok i suppose. They have grown quite a bit and have multiple growth tips now. Its just a case of keeping strapping down branches when they reach above the canopy I haven't really got much to say I just wanted to put up my pics lol My humidistat is a piece of crap but better than nothing (mildly) until I can get an upgrade.

Update- Tues 18th May The week has been pretty floorless tbh all seems to be running smooth, the lemon pie in the 25L hempy hasn’t started showing pre-flowers yet so that’s good coz I’m hoping to make trees from that an the purple punch. The 11l lemon pie has started pre-flowering now (presumably half the size bucket will do that!) interesting to find all this out though. Iv not fed it yet so a lot of the info on there is wrong atm. I’ll update it in a bit, I’m a pretty unorganised grower! I hadn’t been uploading the two lemon pie plants together so iv started doing that today. The one in the smaller tent with the purple punch Auto that have both just gone into pre-flower will be uploaded at the same time as the one that’s not flowering yet (dunno how I’m going to figure that out on the week schedule!) I’ll figure it out even if it means keeping the weeks going with beg weeks until the others have gone initial flower! At least my harvests should be a bit staggered now though. Also I’m not planning on putting anything else in that tent once the flowering banana b comes down! I’m going to switch back to mainly photo’s after this run though I think. I’ll still use the veg tent for a couple , as my current flowering tent will be my veg. I dunno , it depends if Fast buds will continue to sponsor me. I’m thinking of asking for a job and moving out there when I feasibly can. I think it would pretty much totally eliminate my depression and that’s without even smoking the weed!

Things have been ok. I kind of had a period of detox from my opiate prescription so got all fucked up. Coming back to earth thougj. Have loads of photos but missed a week. It’ll be ok. Just lesser yield and im not concerned about yield. The terps are Crazzay nice and citrusy. It’s been pretty massive, has a huge skeleton, but firstly s a tester I always find fastbuds are um….. conservative with their grow time from seed. I would ignore their estimate as a grow time and take it more as a flower time. BUT they do have incredibly good veg time for photos. I. Found up to 6 weeks in massive hempies but then I let them down with ferts and water in a hot spell for a few days. Not the end of the world.

Update - Friday 11th July Ok so this week has been a bit up and down with regards to my mental health so it’s been hard to maintain daily feeding but I havnt fertigated daily their whole life cycle so it’s no big stress. Every other day is fine with a little water to top up the res when it’s been super hot. The smell of the terps from this lemon pie is crazy. It smells as lemony as super lemon haze without having the lean towards sativa, sounds perfect to me, I don’t really grow tall sativa leaning hybrids, just short and made even shorter by tying them down constantly. They just get huge! Even in soil, rather than passive hydro, it just takes slightly longer in soil, however, feeding is WAY easier. I just pre-mix the soil with fish blood and bone and some extra bone meal and then use plenty of microbes. So it’s mainly just water with weekly microbes. I don’t like mixing nutes every time I need to feed the plants. I think they probably have about another week or two left and will be done. They are starting to fill out now as you can see from the above photos of the buds forming.

Sunday 20th June UPDATE - For some reason the one with more light in the tent is maturing faster than the one in the small tent and pot. I think I would only put One plant in the small tent if I were to do it again but I won’t be as my 2mx1mx2m tent is here with extraction as well as active intake so I can suck in colder air also. I’m thinking about getting the long MarsHydro 300w tsl-2000 and putting it in there with some of my less embarrassing lights I already own, until I can afford another.

Overall, the grow of this strain was good and easy. Who says you can’t transplant autos? I transplanted 3x from small hempy bucket to a 25l square hempy, however, it’s a trade off between being slow to prep nutes (for me at least) and quality of strength vs not having to worry about light leaks! Also the strength, size and resilience of autoflowers has come A LONG way with certain specific breeders. Fastbuds being one of them! I havnt had a chance to taste yet as it needs to dry and then cure so when it starts smelling good in the jars, I’ll test smoke it! Also who said you can’t top them? I mainlined this plant as you can see and it didn’t slow her down at all, just needed more light!

Update - just flushing it now to get a fade. plain - not even ph’d water. It’s so frosty and the buds are so hard. I definitely harvested the other one too early I think. Oh well just a more energetic buzz. Fast buds have just confirmed they are sending me seeds again. This time they sent me: Mimosa Cake Auto Pack 5 fem Orange Sherbet Auto Pack 3 fem Gorilla Cookies Auto Pack 3 fem Strawberry Banana Auto Pack 3 fem I also have normal cookies auto by them in a three pack with a free seed Phoenix Big Yield Auto. Looks pretty good if it is as described but tbh I don’t really trust anyone I can get my hands on but FB.

UPDATE - Saturday 3rd July ok, so the week has been good. The plant has been fading niucely, which i think is due to the flush. When i started this diary i added that 2 out of 2 seeds germinated properly. Therefore i had two plants, however, the guys at the growdiaries.com said that its a single strain dfiary so i am going to post the last pictures of harvest under a normal 'Flower' week. It's really hard to tell when they are done or not. My microscope is SUPER hard to use but i can check the trichomes with it, however, at the moment its only when i chop it and can have an inspection where my PC is that i can see whats going on. Not ideal. Should order one of those standard jewelers loupes, i just never seem to get round to it. I was running out of electricity at an alarming rate so i dedided to harvestnthe lemon pie (i believe thats the shortest flower time out of them all), however, i have nowhere to put the pics of the better plant! boooo! I have simply been feeding with plain water from my water well with a bubble disk/plate or circular flat airstone connected to a pretty powerful airpump so im confident that it has got rid of the chlorine in order to let the microbes do their thing. This is why i added the Worm Castings to the inert media. No the biggest of all plants but squeezed into a 60x60cm tent with another plnt flowering in an 11L hempy bucket. As long as you keep the reservoir filled at the bottom of the hempys, your golden. You also start to learn how heavy it is and how much moisture is in there from that.

HARVEST - PLANT #2 - SAME CHEMOTYPE AS THE OTHER LEMON PIE ok so i dont have a wet weight for this plant. i was sure i stuffed it in a pot and weighed it thjat way and took a photo onm y phone but i cant find it. If i do ill upload it and put in the weight. I wouldnt want to guess, i would rather wait for it to dry and weigh the dry bio-mass. Just bought another very similar watering/drip system for the next round as im going to put 2 Hempies using GHE Flora Series Nutes up against 2 soil plants using liquid organic feed. They are obviously going toi require COMPLETELY different feeding shedules. In fact, im going to try to jot everything i do down this time....we'll see. I also have a new lens for my camera which i didnt have for these photographs. I believe these were taken with my phonbes camera so stay in store for better and better photos. Especially macro photo's as thats what i plan on using for reference material for my art! especially under some blurple light too. They look crazy!
