Day 8- this girl is comin along, gonna have to get some more soil soon so I can transplant her after this week. I might just scrap the KTF Orange because those genetics kinda sucked anyway, too many plants with mutations.
Day 15- Transplanted into one of the 5 gal pots that had a ktf orange in it. A few days later I moved 6 plants into the big tent under the 480W at 40% power. I made a mistake and fed her the first dose of nutrient solution at 25% strength on Sunday instead of today so I guess her feedings will be on Sundays as well.
Day 19- Topped her and bent her over for some LST. We’ll see how she responds, I feel like I messed up though; I should’ve just bent her over then topped her next week but I wasn’t thinking. Oh well it’s done now, I’ll update at the start of next week.
Day 22- Fed her a 50% strength nutrient solution on the right day this time lol The undergrowth is starting to pick up the pace, by next week she’ll be double this size I bet.
Day 29- This girl is starting to pick up a little. I took a few leaves off and some lower growth on one of the branches. Waiting to feed her until the soil is dry enough which will probably be tomorrow just needed to get the start of the new week documented. I’m gonna change up my feeding tactics a little and feed more often with 1L at a time as opposed to once a week and see how that works for me.
Day 33- Time to update with some more pics. I topped the the last few branches and that’s all the topping I’m gonna do for at least a month, I’m gonna use lst to get her to spread out nice and wide for me. Fed her on day 30, I’ll feed her again as soon as the soil is dry. Gonna make sure to keep those lower nodes to a minimum to see if I can get her to produce some massive top buds.
Day 37- Put out some molasses to kill off the gnats a few days ago, it seems to be working pretty well just gotta let the soil dry out to keep the other ones from laying too many eggs in the meantime. She’s growing slowly, I’m guessing it’s due to the lst seeing as how the other one is staying short and growing fairly slow too. Just gonna let her keep growing, this girl’s got a long way to go.
Day 43- So I’ve learned that these Blue Dream seeds are regular seeds and not feminized. Idk if this plant is a male or female, just gotta wait for it to show me its preflowers. Gave it 1L of nutrient solution this morning. I might top this thing one more time in a few spots to get the lower outside branches to catch up.
Day 50- Ties down the outer branches the other day and topped the two middle branches to keep the canopy even. Gave it 2L of nutrient solution with out the molasses because I’ve gotta get some more. The tent is lookin pretty empty, I need to get some more soil too so I can start some more seeds. Still got another 8 weeks of veg after this week unless it turns out male, I need those preflowers to pop out so I know what I’m workin with.
Day 57- Bottom fed this plant with 2L of nutrient solution today. It was a little too much but she’ll recover by tomorrow I’m sure. Growth has been slow but steady, probably because of the lst which is a good thing because I don’t want it to get too tall. I’ll probably do some main lining after it recovers so that it doesn’t get super bushy. That’s all for now, I’ll update again after the main lining.
Day 58- Just finished choppin most of its limbs off after it stopped lookin like it was drowning lol I think I’m gonna like the way this plant turns out. Hopefully I get some giganto buds off it but if it turns out to be male then it was all for naught. I’ll just keep these fingers crossed and pray that it turns out female.
Day 63- Well I’m happy to announce that it’s a girl! She definitely made me wait to find out but thankfully being patient paid off. Fed her 1L of nutrient solution yesterday, I’ll feed her again in 3-4 days.
Day 64- Well it’s the start of another week and there’s not much goin on. This girl doesn’t really need me to do anything aside from feeding her when she gets thirsty. Just gonna let her keep goin, I haven’t decided if I’m gonna top her one more time or not. It seems like I should with so many weeks left in veg.
Day 71- Gave this girl 1L of molasses water today and that’s it. She’s growing pretty quickly after healing up from the mainlining, she’s already got 2-3 more nodes on each branch. I’m gonna have to chop some more branches off before I flip this girl into flower.
Day 85- I forgot to post anything for last week but there really wasn’t anything worth reporting. I gave this girl 1.5L of nutrient solution today. I can’t wait to see how big these buds are gonna get once she starts flowering. I’m gonna do a little more mainlining before I switch her over just to make sure the top buds are gettin as much nutrients as possible.
Day 98- This will be the last week of veg. Flowering period is 9-10 weeks so I’ve gotta get them flowers poppin. I cut off 2-3 lower nodes per branch. I think I’m gonna put it in the flower tent the day I harvest the two OG Kush plants in there. There are a few deformed leaves but hopefully it’s not some kind of harmful fungus or bacteria or somethin that’s causing it.
Day 99- Put it In the flower tent 3 days ago; still waiting for signs of flowering. Gave her 1L of nutrient solution today with the piranha mixed in as well. Got at least 9-10 weeks to go.
Day 106- Flowering day 6- Gave her 1L of nutrient solution this morning at lights on. I’m gonna start watering this girl every 2-3 days instead of 3-4. I adjusted the tie downs and pulled all the branches down some more; I don’t want this girl getting too tall.
Day 110-Flowering day 10- I kept checking to see if she needed to be fed before today but she’s not drinking that fast. Possibly because I keep watering around the edges to get the roots to grow outward. Anyway I gave her 1L of nutrient solution this morning. I’ll be getting some Big Bud Coco from Advanced Nutrients this week so I’ll be switching out the flower fuel for that stuff. In a future diary I’ll grow a couple plants of the same strain to compare different bloom enhancers and other things.
Day 113-Flowering day 13- Fed her this morning with 1L of nutrient solution. Wrenched her tie downs a bit tighter also. I’m trying to make sure she stays as short as possible because my extra light hangars didn’t show up for me to raise the light up. The Big Bud also didn’t show up today so I’m not too happy but hopefully it gets here soon.
Day 120- Flowering day 20- Fed this girl with 1.5L of nutrient solution; it was a little too much but she recovered quickly. The Big Bud Coco finally showed up along with some extra hangers so I could raise my lights. I also put this girl in the 3x3 tent and put the other girls in the 5x5 since I’m gonna build a scrog net frame for them anyway.
Day 128- Flowering day 28- I’m updating a day late because I forgot to do it yesterday. I gave her 1L of nutrient solution first thing yesterday morning. She was lookin kinda down in the dumps for a few days but today she really perked up compared to what she was lookin like. I think it had something to do with switching bloom nutrients during the flower cycle. I also think she’s had some issues due to some fan dust basically getting dumped right into the pot thanks to a certain someone who was messing around in the grow room before I got the veg tent set up when I moved. I wasn’t happy about it but gotta deal with it anyway and hope it doesn’t cause any issues.
I believe this is potassium deficiency.
K deficiency causes internal temps of foliage to rise and it causes the protein in the cells to burn and degrade. Usually happens on the edges of the leaves.
Day 134- Flowering day 34- My girl has some kind of deficiency. I posted a question and the only answer I got said it looks like potassium deficiency so I’m gonna double the amount of big bud I’m putting in the solution and see if that helps. Hopefully that does the trick.
Day 136- Flowering day 36- So I doubled the amount of big bud I put in the nutrient solution yesterday and it seems to have been what my girl was wanting. She’s looking better today. These blue dream girls are some monsters when it comes to feeding, I mean they can really suck up the nutrients. The next time I grow this strain I’m gonna push it as hard as I can with nutrients to see just how much it can take.
Day 142- Flowering day 42- Well she still needs something more than what I’m giving her because leaves are still turning yellow from the outside in and curling downward. I switched from Big Bud to Overdrive today; I used 5ml for 1.25L which is more than double the recommended amount(I was using that much Big Bud as well but my girl is still showing a deficiency). Buds are looking good regardless; they’re nice and frosty. Hopefully this Overdrive really sparks some late stage bulking.
Day 147- Flowering day 47- Wooooo this girl is lookin rough lol I have a theory though. I may be over feeding which can cause a K deficiency. I’m not sure though because the last plant did the same thing and I only gave it water for a week which didn’t help it get any better. I’ll try actually flushing it to see if that helps.
