Forbidden Dream and Black D.O.G. Grow

Hi all welcome to the middle of this 3x3 grow featuring two Forbidden Dreams and 2 Black D.O.Gs by Humboldt. These little ladies have been going for about 4 weeks now. The BDs are from seed and the FDs are clones. I have had some issues with overwatering so the BDs are a bit stunted but they are coming around. They also did not like their transplant. 😬 I hope to veg another 2 weeks and then flip these ladies and get on with the exciting part. Enjoy the show. 😎🍿

Well I have decided it is time to flip these ladies. So this is the last week of veg. There is one Black D.O.G. that isn’t quite as big as I’d like but both Forbidden Dreams are getting big and they can double so I pretty much have to flip. Worst case if the BD doesn’t stretch like I would like I will move it to my greenhouse and grow it out in the fool ol outdoors. I am happy with the growth of these plants. Everything has been pretty straight forward at this point. I fed the ladies a compost tea this week and some Microbial Mass. I like to big the ladies a good feeding before the flip. Well the first week of flowering has seen these ladies really stretch out. Especially the Forbidden Dreams. Although I am not sure if they are a bit overwatered or if I have a deficiency creeping up. I will have to keep a close eye on them for a bit and am going to back off the amount I water and see how that plays out. I top dressed everything and am preparing a compost tea so we will see if this helps out a bit as well. The two Black D.OG.s are looking good. The biggest is really stretching out!! The smallest is still doing its thing and trying to keep up with the rest 😅 I am looking forward to week two of flower. They are already showing pistils here and there so they are taking to 12/12 quite nicely. I will be cleaning up the lower stuff and taking a bunch of cutting from these ladies this weekend. Well, week 2 of flower has seen these ladies stretch out some more. Well with the exception of the small Black DOG. She is just a runt lol. But a healthy runt at least 😏. I have had two issue crop up this week. First one of the Forbidden Dreams didn’t seem to like the top dress and compost tea I gave her and she got some pretty good leaf burn 😬. I am still figuring out this organic game 🤷🤦‍♂️ The second issue is the bigger Black DOG is showing a bit of a cal-mag issue but I’ll start adding general organics cal-mag to straighten her out. I use RO water so I was prepared for this to be an issue. All in all the grow is going ok and I will just have to try not to mess anything up going forward as it’s game time now 😎. Although I think I have decided I will be switching to DWC for my indoor and stick to the organics outdoor as I seem to not have any issues with it outdoor 🤔 😎🍿

Well this week has had a few issues carry over from last week. First my forbidden dream to the back right is not liking the top dressing I put down about a week ago and she has some pretty bad damage to the fan leaves. I didn’t even go heavy on the top dress so not sure why she is having this reaction. Second my bigger black dog at the front right of the tent is still having some cal-mag issues that I can’t seem to get a handle on even when upping my general organics cal mag supplement. The other two plants are doing ok which is funny because they have gottenthe exact same treatment as the other two 🤷 Well here’s to hoping I can dial the two trouble plants in a bit. The other two are doing pretty good and all of the plants are starting to frost up I don’t know what it is but I always seem to have issues indoor. I seem to be a much better outdoor grower lol. I think I’m going to make the change to DWC for my next indoor grow. 😎🍿

Well week 4 of flower is over and things are smelling great 😏 Two of the plants (Forbidden Dream to the back right and Black DOG to the front right) are a little burned up from a top dressing but they aren’t getting much worse so I think they are going to be fine. Not to mention I was also having some cal-mag issues with the bigger Black DOG but it seems to be over that now 🤞 The little runt is coming along nicely and has the biggest buds going out of the bunch which is a pleasant surprise. The Forbidden Dream to the back left is coming along nicely and starting to really frost up. I am going to keep it super simple going forward and hope to get the the finish line without any further setbacks. 😎🍿

Everything is coming along ok at this point. I don’t expect a few of these plants to yield the best at this point but that is on me. But I’ve learned a few things about the genetics I’ve run this time so at least something came from a few issues 😏 I am looking forward to these ladies starting to fatten up! Also, I am busy these days with my greenhouse (see other diaries) so I need these ladies to hurry up lol. 😎🍿 😎🍿

Everything is chugging along. It looks like there is another 2-3 weeks left for these ladies at this point. The plants to the right are still not looking that great but they are still getting frostier and trying to fatten up. I turned on my UVA light. We will see if it kicks trichome production up a notch. It’s my first time using it. Stay tuned for more bud porn! 😎🍿

So week 7 of flower is over and these ladies are getting a little fatter and frosting up quite nicely. I have run into serval issues as of late. I have what looks like a phosphorus deficiency popping up in two plants which is not ideal at this point obviously 🤨. And I have a bit of a cal-mag issue returning. I gave the ladies a tea ( worm castings @ 1 cup, kelp meal @ 2 tsp, Gaia bloom at 1 tsp, bat guano @ 2 tsp and 1 tsp of organic blackstrap molasses in 1.5 gallons of RO water) to hopefully sort these issues out but won’t be feeding again as I don’t anything extra in my buds. I think the forbidden dream to the back right only needs another week but I think the rest might need a little more then that, perhaps 2 🤷. I’ll be keeping an eye on trics in the coming week. To be honest I’m a little disappointed in this run as a whole as I was not able to dial things in at all 😬 I will be switching away from the indoor organics as it just seems to not be my thing. I can nail it outdoor but indoor just isn’t for me for some reason. I will be moving to DWC in my future indoor grows. 😎🍿

So I took down one of the Humboldt forbidden dreams but I will post all the pics etc once I take down the other 3. The tent smells heavenly as soon as the door is open. These plant never really reached their full potential as I messed a few things up during the grow. But it the end I should end up with some tasty nugs regardless. I will likely take one of the black dogs (on the right) down this weekend and the other one within a few days. I think I will give the last forbidden dream another week. 😎🍿🍻

So all the ladies have come down with the exception of one forbidden dream. I will wait to do the harvest diary until all of the girls are down. It’s just easier that way lol. I am a little disappointed with some of the yields off a few plants but the quality is there so it’s not a total loss 🤷. I made some mistakes along the way so the lack of yield is on me for sure. The last plant will be coming down in a matter of days now. 😎🍿🍻

Well all the plants are finally down so this week is just a few pictures of the last forbidden dream leading up to the chop. I will post the harvest in a week or two once all the drying and curing has been completed/started. This grow wasn’t near the yield I was hoping for but I messed up a few things along the way so it’s on me for that. In the end everything is super frosty and smells great so I can’t complain about that. 😎🍿🍻

I ran into a few problems with this grow as it was my first indoor organics grow but I know where I messed up so I shouldn’t repeat those mistakes. With that being said the quality of the cannabis is still there and I am excited about starting again using DWC next time. I love Humboldt genetics and I will be growing more of their lineup in the future for sure.

These plants were great. I messed things up a bit but they still turned out a half decent yield. The taste and smell of the final product are great. I am growing one of these plants in my greenhouse and I can’t wait to see what it produces as I don’t have the small space to confine the plant. I love Humboldt genetics and can’t wait to grow more.
