The Tangerine Dream has just begun and I can't wait to taste these in a month after curing at 62% RH. We are getting real close and the Gorilla Glue is ripening up nicely, just spotted the first amber trichomes. Blueberry is finally filling out and the frost on this plant is majestic. Soon.

Grow Questions

I'm hesitant to defoliate since this is my first auto grow but the blueberry is damn bushy the tangerine dream could use a touch up too. Would you remove all the big fan leaves, half of them or what would you recommend? Tucking/tying down leaves is no issue if low stress is key.

Hi buddy, For me, basic rule would to be to defoliate anything blocking bud sites/ growth shoots from the light. Tucking can help but something you may need to do frequently. LST will help shape your plants to how you want so I’d recommend also doing that. Check my diary (Stardawg and girl Scout cookies) you’ll see what a difference it’s made to the plant I Lst’d. But feel free to message me and I’ll walk you through. Good luck and hope it goes well

The buds stretching out is getting ridiculous on the Tangerine Dream. Aside from watching out for herms what would happen if i pruned the budlets that are stretching? The plant is healthy aside from those signs of possible stress. A week or so away from harvest IMO.

Hi there! There's many possible reasons for this : genetics (if so, there's not much you can do), heat stress, a serious lack of light, or too much Nitrogen during the flowering cycle. I won't try to prune the tops of these buds since it could stress the whole plant while it's almost ending its life. I'll be around, keep us up-to-date, and good luck with the last weeks!

With my autos I defoliate by looking down on the plant and removing any leaves that are blocking bud sites. I typically need to do this twice, once near the end of veg and again about 1/2 way into flowering. I let the Plant dictate how many leaves are removed based on how many leaves are blocking bud sites. Hope this helps. Good luck!

@Fergie, Good luck! one day we'll have that perfect equilibrium. There's so much that can be done to avoid the use of toxic pesticides. I'm going at it with the neighbor atm from getting oily residue blown over on my side of the fence, even got me in the face and I felt sick but it could of been nerves. Imagine being so careful then some inconsiderate, ignorant person gets who knows what on you and your edible plants. I mind my business but this is war.

@ElMalo,nice mate . I do a 3 day soak with pump , I also order some predatory mites and ladybugs other day going incorporate them into both indoor and balcony as got all sorts veg and fruits growing as cover .

@Fergie, I just realized the florablend I use is pretty much compost tea and I have to say all of my plants on the stuff seem resilient to pests compared to the rest of the garden. hmm. I'm doing my first foliar/drench application with the tea this weekend after its done bubbling away. So far so good. 👌
