Grow Specs: Breeder: Irie Genetics Strain: Sunkiss Genetic heritage: Platinum Tangie x Arise Germination rate: 6/6 Male:Female Ratio: ?:? Medium: Soil with enriched compost, full no till eventually. Update schedule: I will try to send out the updates every Saturday or Sunday. For more frequent updates, add me on Instagram @grimbolthedruid Grow Schedule to Date: Sprout: 4/27/18 Age: Day 1 as of 4/27/18 Updates/Observations: Just popped above ground yesterday! Rasta Jeff of Irie Genetics and the Grow From Your Heart Podcast sent me some seeds to document and test out so here we go! I am super excited to see what these genetics and this cross is capable of. It is one of my favorite podcasts that I have been listening to for a while and I would definitely recommend it if you enjoy cannabis culture and conversation. Also you can see his plants on IG @iriegenetics. For this grow I plan to select 9 of the best looking plants to go into my 100 gallon smart pot. Once I sex them I will cull all of the males and train the females into the holes that appear in the canopy and run my females to flower. Thanks to Tad Hussey at the KiS Organics Podcast who hooked me up with a representative at Blumat! I will have a reservoir hooked up to a bunch of Blumat soaker hoses that will keep the soil at a continuous moisture level. My goal is to grow the dankest, cleanest, medicine, as close to how nature does it, with minimal human interaction, mostly automated. In the near future my time is going to be limited so I will want to make the most of what time I have in the garden doing the stuff that I enjoy most like training or giving teas. Final home: 5'x5' tent, HLG 320w, 100 gallon smart pot. Suggestions welcome! Thanks Jeff! Cheers! -G

AWWWWWESOME 👏👏👏 It’s gonna be spectacular. All plants will respond to each other, their gonna make food for all where the strongest ones are gonna help the weakest ones.

@GrimbolTheDruid, I've seen it on a NattyG YouTube channel, it's the method he use, all the plants are working togethers in a perfect symbiosys.

@CaliGrown, You are killing me man! Thank you! Wish you were here to try some of this hash! I’m starting to get the hang of things. Just need to crop this next puppy and fresh freeze it.

@GrimbolTheDruid It sounds intuitive, and it concurs with nature, and I know you know your stuff. But I learned leaving clipped leaves on the dirt makes a home for the wrong kind of bugs. I have seen more bug activity when I allow leaves to collect. Please explain the benefit, and/or your experience with bugs when you mulch. Thanks

@growdoctordc, You are definitely correct in that it offers a good food source for the micro-arthropods and their population will increase with an increase in food supply/home. I practice insect pest management (IPM) at all times regardless of if I see pests so I spray and use neem and karanja teas regularly throughout the grow cycle. Returning all parts of the plant (and by extension nutrients) that are not used for production is sort of the backbone of no-till ideology. Without that, too much is removed from the system and imbalances arise. Everything is about balance from what I have found so far. Nothing in excess reduces the ability of pathogens or pests to infiltrate the environment. Sort of a 'no room left at the table' type of methodology. All that being said, this is my bed's maiden voyage so all I know is what I read. I am all book smart and little street smarts. Now that summer has come, I would like to look into experimenting with beneficial insects as well because I think at that point it is really starting to emulate nature. Thanks for stopping by! G

So no kiddie pool? Lol, I was really interested in that. Your plan sounds concise and well thought out. I’ll be watching with bated breath.
