Startet my little Formula One seed today. Used varm to the touch water in my favorite teacup and covered it with the undercup. I put it on my south facing window sill, as it was promised sun for allmost a week. Was a long time to sink, but sprouted, quickly when transfered to papertowel. Left there for a couple of days until the root was 2cm long. Planted two days ago and today after a six days journey it is looking up. It seems like a little of the seed inside cover is still stuck to the leaves, stopping it from opening up. Leave it until tomorrow to see if it can manage this on its own. If not, I have to remove the constrain, something I am not to happy to do, as it is difficult not hurting the tender little leaves. Both this and the slow uptake of water suggest an old seed. Succes - I managed to unlock it with a few drops of water. Realy glad that this little trick worked. So I'm good to go π
After your question I checked your grow again in the weeks before. he leaves are drooping dw, soil wet and black. I think its prolems cause of overwatering. Let the soil dry between feeds. I dont see the darker leaves of overfeeding or burnt tips or anything.
@BioBuds, It helped when I flushed it through with 3 gallons of water, but you are right that it needs to dry for a periode. I put my fertilizer in the top soil. The 3 gallons of water can have removed nutritients in the soil or added some. I am still confused. The plant does not look like its about to die or anything, but..
I also protect it against the rain most of the time, but a couple of weeks of sunshine would be welcome ...
Nice one mate, the first 2 weeks are always too slow but not slow down under in the soil. The roots were preparing for the visible boost we see now. Everything is in order to bring you high in a few months time.
All the best
Many good things to come, hope that little girl turns into many fist-sized nuggs, dripping with dankness.
May the pH be with you...
Happy growing!π½π
