Transplanted Tabitha to 7 gallon root pouch and flipped lights this week to 12/12. She is growing so fast and her main stalks are going to be beefy. Added her and my mystery BC (Chalupa Batgirl) to my flower tent where my Bubblegum is in her 5th week. Lots of training being done to comfortable sit these plants all together. A light bit of LST and I’m finishing my portable ScroG today to keep the new girls tidy.

Are purple stems normal for this strain? Not a lot but a few on the leaves, not sure if I need to up the P or which nutrient.

If the leaves are not very shiny green as well as red stems, then it's likely just genetic with Trainwreck. She looks very healthy to my eye.

Good luck with your grow sir! Btw how do you clean those pots? Do you handwash, one time or just re-use them?

ImagiNathancommented7 years ago
@GrowZex, Thanks bud! I knock all the dirt out of them and wash them once (hand wash). Only use them for two grows usually. Same to you on your grow 🌞

Pretty much exactly the same - Fox Farms and Trainwreck. I’m outside so curious to see the difference. She looks very green!

@ImagiNathan Hi there! If there are no other symptoms then this is probably strain related. However if you noticed a slow growth or fading leaves, then this might be a magnesium deficiency. In this scenario, adding some cal-mag or epsom salt will help, plants should recover in a couple of days and stems will be green again. Hope this helps, happy growing!

@Stick, She’s not slowing too much, and gets Calimagic with every watering since I’m using RO water. Next feed I’m using dechlorinated tap water to get my ph up with these Earth Grow nutes, would I still need to supplement the mag or does tap usually contain enough? (I know it’s different all over, just on average :D)

Still under the CFLs as I like the results and minimal hydro consumption. Switching to the 400w metal halide in the veg box next week!
