Week 3 of flowering
I moved the two girls into their final 11l pots. It seems they like it since they grew in one day from 8cm to 10cm (SN No.1) and 10cm to 12cm (SN No.2). They have nice green colour and both have 5 sets of leaves already. I also fimmed both of them so hopefully they will produce some nice main stems.
They have been moved to the growth room where the other girls reside and are thus subject to the same conditions as they are (45% RH, temperature of 22C, and 18/6 light cycle). I will probably increase their light schedule to 20/4 when the old girls get out of the way.
In my first grow I went watering the girls in the inner half of the pot to make their roots grow down and only after two weeks started watering the outer parts of the pot as well in order to encourage their roots' growth outward as well. This time though, I decided to follow Ganjagrandaddy and started initially watered the outer half of the pot, and will later on start watering the inner part as well. By that i might force them to spread their roots wide and then move down as well (though I don't know how much of the really works since I would say that all the soil gets wet anyway ๐).
She has 60% Indica in her genes and 40% sativa. Theoretically that means they will probably grow more in a pine shape. I will need to spread the lower branches wide enough to accommodate for the fimmed top (if it happens) however if they (or one) turn more sativa like I might go for some main lining to see how I can do that.
