4th set of leaves just starting to show. Expect to transplant to forever home, 5gal. Pot this week and start LST. She’s strong enough to go outside full time so long as the spring frost holds off. Update - Week #3 Coming up on end of week 3 and she’s looking primed to really start taking off. Took the transplant ok and outdoors full time now. Gonna start lst in next day or two . Update 2 - Week #3 Bahhh! Let’s get this go’n!!! Pinned her down and started LST now - she’s healthy and should take it just fine. ;)

Week #4 - May 25 update Low stress training started and fifth set of leaves is starting to show now. Gonna try and train her into a spiral around the outside of the pot. She’s probably got another Couple weeks before she kicks into flower. Hoping to see some heavy veg. Growth before that.

Jun 9 - start of week 6 and she looks like she’s in early pre-flower. Got a couple branch sites starting to come up so the lst is doing it’s thing. At this rate might have to expect a smaller plant but once again, it’s a non nute outdoor pot grow. Still lotsa a time and we’ll see what’s happens.👍 Jun 11 - more lst and some light pruning to expose some bud sites. Still early but the pistils are now showing. Here we go.

Jun 16 - start of week 6 and she’s lookn good. Got full other stem coming off her base so I guess the lst is doing something. That said, thinking I’m gonna stick to au naturelle when growing outdoors and bring in a full nute sched. Just feels like she could be better. Decent experiment..... please yield cheesy goodness. 🙏

Jun 30 - start of week 9 and a full three weeks through flower. She’s lookn good and bulking up for sure. I dont expect to see much more growth in height but even without nutes this girl should put out a half decent yield. No complaints at this stage. 👍

Jul 14 - start of week 11 and she’s coming along well for what she is. Not too much longer now and fattening out nicely. Cheers Jul 20 update - damnit, bud rot has set in. It’s a new development for sure and We lost a chunk of bud. what’s worse is that it’s early, but obvious on a good portion of the main stem. I have no choice but to harvest now or risk having no harvest at all. Woulda preferred a couple more weeks....

Jul 21 - start of week 12 and bud rot is setting on main stem. I’m forced to harvest but on a second look under the scope, I’m good with it. I’ve got some amber trichs in there so she just about perfect. Musta missed a week of flower during the switch. All good, we chop tomorrow if time allows. Thanks in advance dinafem - best I can ask for based on grow conditions. Cheers 🍻 Jul 22 update - chop day. Thankfully minimal losses after we cut out that bud rot yesterday. I prefer to hang dry but had to be diligent during trim due to the rot so went to the rack. All good, better than expected actually and initial harvest numbers coming shortly. Cheers everyone, almost there.

Happy Harvest Day!

Let’s try to be critical here and account for all variables as best as possible: Method/medium - the extreme lst would’ve been great indoors and on a 20 hour light cycle. I think this was lost outdoors and growing natural would’ve yielded better results. The compost amendment was likely helpful given there’s was no nutrients added. No deficiencies or insect issues. The lack of nutrients however was a huge mistake and this plant would’ve thrived with some added help. Strain - as far as genetics are concerned I agree with all who’ve posted on it; top drawer in terms of durability, Resilient and strong. The main stem was super thick! I can’t wait to crack another one of these in ideal indoor conditions. Flavour and effect - hold 7 days for initial testing please 😉. Yield - We’re on a 10 day dry in 18c darkness. If I pull more than 1/2 oz. dry, then it’s exceeded my expectations for what it is. It's certainly gonna hurt the career average yield stat, but I'm not really in this to keep score, so all good. Thanks everyone for coming along and stay tuned for the rest - this seasons got some beasts coming yet!

Everything went generally as planned and can’t really complain as this girl was pretty low maintenance. We got double lucky that she was pretty much finished when we noticed the first signs of bud rot. This is harvest 1 of the group and can’t wait to give her a first run. Cheers to all and dinafem for the support and comments. 👍👊👍 I’ll be around for sure!!! Jul 29 - she took 7 days as opposed to 10 for the dry and now on the cure is on. She came in just under a paltry 1/2oz. As expected. Sampling to follow tomorrow with a “clean palette” 😉. Jul 30 update - sampled the goods and while I can’t be definitive on the taste for another month or so, the effects are outstanding! Very similar to a buttery, diesel sort of high. Found it relaxing and not a couch locker like I expected. Dinafem has done great with the genetics here. Damn I wish I had a better yield! Lesson learned 😉👍😉

So we’re running short on supply here and had to start this girl a little early before spring so that we can stagger our harvests through the growing season. This ones going to be an experimental grow with a mix of compost/super soil and potting mix. This is mainly to avoid nutrient supplements and simplify its care as we’ll prob. Have other plants that demand more attention ;) happy spring all!

@Fergie, yep - we’re still not legal where I live yet so waiting anxiously on that so we can truly let loose with some big plants outdoors. That said, we also have a small cabinet and I’m keeping a close eye on ur scrog. Got my own with a big bud strain on the way too. 👊 good luck with the grows bro!

@DinafemSeeds, You bet Mark. Certainly no knock on you guys at all. Nothing you can when it's that advanced. I've since had a few samplings and found myself pleasantly surprised it wasn't a total loss. The bud still works that's for sure!!! lol. In fact, stay tuned for a photo grow of your critical kush that I grabbed as a freebie from seedsman. I can't wait to get that one roll'n! Cheers bud and keep up the good work.

Great job. I had the exact same type of bud rot on mine, looks identical to what I pulled out yesterday.
TheBudWhisperer
TheBudWhisperercommented7 years ago
@Kooky, no doubt. Definitely something you gotta watch out for in late stages. If not kept in check it will spread and destroy ur grow. Mine was just a little too advanced to risk waiting on the harvest. All good, I’ve got a couple more on the way so we’ll be just fine. 😉

@CapCannabis13, u bet - she’s a pretty solid, low maintenance strain so far. Yields expected to be pretty good too even in the absence of nutes. Pretty happy with her so far and can’t wait to try er out. Cheers!

TheBudWhisperer
TheBudWhisperercommented7 years ago
@Ontario, def. will do dude. This thing is probably 12” or so in height and like 20” if you were to stand er straight up. It’s fattening up real well too so hoping for some dense nugs for sure. Showing some frost now too. Only knock - it’s an auto So i didn’t have enough veg. Time to wrap ‘er right around the whole pot! Great strain so far, low maintenance and super easy to grow! Thanks again for the look 👊
