Already roots are pushing through the bottom, after transplanting from 1 gallon to 3 gallon plastic containers. Only one week ago. Biocanna ryzotonic is a good nutrient for root growth. They are ready to go to the big tent as soon as the plants in the are done. In a few days. Don't know if I should continue lst or go to the screen of green or just a small net over each plant...

Will update more. They are in their final container and I am starting the flip to 12/12 lighting. They are in the bigger flower tent. Now that I cleaned it up after the last harvest. They are looking very healthy and the net perfectly spreads out the toping and fimming tops that I created.

Almost to flower lighting. Doing a high frequency fertigation. Due to the properties of the growing medium. Made up of pretreated coco coir at about 70%, the rest is perlite. It seems to be difficult to overwater. I found the coco for cannabis website and have been following their recommendations for feeding twice a day. Trying to keep the run off water at 20-30% of what I add to the top of the pot. EC readings comparisons to input values have made watering twice a day with less total water each time. Is the only way to keep my ec measurements within 400 or .400 depending on the meter. Of the input. So I don't want the run off to read higher than 400 micro semens ec reading than the original solution fed to the plant. Going to stick with it. Purple stems are on all the plants. So magnesium is not being absorbed as well or I don't know. Not enough in the nutrients. I'm skeptical to use magnesium sulfate. Very alkaline.

Crazy stretch compared to the parent plant. These plants were cuttings taken from the last squad of plants that had the closest node spacing and still good growth. I think it worked. They stretched more than I expected. It's been one week so I think I will have room. So much pruning over the last week. Slowly as to not stress out the gals. Only the leaves and sites not able to get light. While in veg these 3 plants were heavily low stress trained combined with almost constant topping and fimming. It has paid off. They are bigger with more robust and strong yet flexible. Using the canna cal mag agent. Stems are no longer turning purple. Old stems are looking better for sure. Along with greener new growth. It was getting a little light green on the new growth for a few days. Been watering daily. With nutrients. EC was over 800 microsemens (ha) I think. points higher than the input water with 25 ish % run off compared to input amount. After starting to water every day. Or what the internet says is called high frequency fertigation. EC reading of the run off water is slowly lowering and now at only + 400 points, (or.400) depends on the meter. The internet also says that is better than +800. They have responded very well to the high frequency fertigation with explosive growth. Saw the first sign of flowers today. So the stretch is over for the most part.

Grow Questions
Cannabingrowin
Cannabingrowinstarted grow question 4 years ago
I am using coco coir and perlite as the medium. I would assume it would only make a difference if it was in the same container as the plants to interact. Or be a fungus, I think most produce at least some amount of CO2. Can I use companion fungus/plants in the same pot?

Mixing companion plants indoors is a bit of an interesting one - nutrient fixing plants are slow to 'fix' nutrients such as Nitrogen., I'd suggest it for outdoors where you arent going to uproot a plant and over turn all the soil and damage the fungus network so much as you would with a 10L pot, companion plants are better for long term relationships. Using a fungus and adding bacteria beneficial to the rhizosphere is your best way if fixing nutrients, if you add companion plants you can see good results but primarily in no till set ups. I use the techniques with companion plants for my veg garden and my tomato plants are about 4 - 5 feet tall, but using them indoor may just prove hassle. You can water beneficial bacteria in as a top dressing so if you're already part way through a g you can still get the benefits and boost your microbial activity massively, the microbes breaking down the organic matter and sending it on to the fungus which essentially expand the rootzone by adding viable nutrient exchange surface area, in turn your plants exchange nutrients and sugars with the fungus and everuthing grows harmoniously. I've decided to use fungus and bacteria in my 2nd indoors grow and I can see the difference already, I wouldn't bother with companion planting. The CO2 from a small amount of companion planting indoors would be negligible, you're better off using the CO2 bags and maybe watering with some low TDS fizzy water, those bubbles are pure CO2.

What causes a plant to foxtail on the buds? By that I mean become airy and not full or thin to where it looks more of a bud with points and not dense compared to the other plants buds that are nice and juicy and dense looking? Thanks

Still drying. Harvested 9-8-21. Weeks in flowering was 9. Ran out of room in the tent. Couldn't raise the lights any more. Stressed the plants a little. Some foxtailing on some. Watered every day 5 liters each. Medium is a coco perlite mix. Smells good. May have harvested a day or two early. Was starting to see a good amount of amber and all cloudy trichomes. Had a busy next few days so yeah.
