Dark Devil Auto ψ( •̀ᴗ•́ )و ̑̑

Week 1 Day 1 04/04/2021💧 Starting a new grow with some promising Dark Devil Auto seeds that are supposed to have deep red flowers. Can’t wait! After soaking the seeds in a shot glass for 30ish hours and then keeping them in a damp napkin for a few days, I planted Ally, Billie, and Carrie on the 2nd of April and today (4th), they have already come out! As for the 4th girl, Dory, her root was slow to come out so she was planted a day later. I watered them with about 500ml of water with 4ml/L of BioBizz Root Juice so their roots grow strong 💪 Day 2 05/04/2021 Had a quick peak in the tent today to check the temperature and humidity. I am running a humidified on the lowest setting in front of the in-line fan so it can blow the vapour around the whole tent. Dory started peaking out of the soil but still had the seed shell on so I left her be. Day 3 06/04/2021 Yaay, Dory came out today as well except the leaves a bit crooked! They all look quite healthy although they are quite different in colour, Carrie is a lot lighter green than the rest and Billie is the darkest green. We’ll see how they do in the next few days. Day 4 07/04/2021💧 Wooow Ally is already spreading out her wings and so interesting how there is a bit of purple in the centre of the leaves on both Ally and Billie. Also watered them today, still giving just Root Juice for the first week and keeping the watering to just 500ml for each girl Day 5 08/04/2021 Ally and Carrie are really opening up which is lovely to see but there is something weird with Carrie’s leaves. They are a quite darker on the corners and very light in the centre. Not sure if there is some kind of early signs of deficiency but I will keep an eye on her. And Dory is looking good as well, and looks like even though the first leaves were crooked – the true leaves are growing nicely Day 6 09/04/2021 Didn’t have time for pictures today Day 7 10/04/2021💧 Watered the girls again today which will be the last 500ml watering and I will increase to the normal 1.5L watering as they start to grow bigger. Ally is looking so big compared to the other girls and I’ve noticed that the ones that are planted with the biggest root tend to grow faster than the others, although the others catch up within a few weeks anyway.

Week 2 Day 8: 11/04/2021 No time to take pics today Day 9: 12/04/2021 Billie and Dory seem to be quite a bit behind the other two at the moment, but they should catch up soon. There is a little bit of purple on the inner leaves as well which looks exciting! Day 10: 13/04/2021💧 Watered the girls today and I think they are good to start with BioGrow. From now on I will also start giving them the full 1.5L of water so I mixed that with 1.5ml of BioGrow and gave the girls a good watering Day 11: 14/04/2021 Uh oh, I think I fucked up the leaves with the watering…. This keeps happening with my plants in their first few weeks where I water them and leave water on the leaves which makes the water droplets a magnifying glass because of the intense lights… Billie looks like she got hit the worst :( At least Ally is showing tiny new leaves on the stem. Day 12: 15/04/2021 Wow, Ally looks like she grew so much from yesterday and Carrie is also showing some new leaves on the stems but Billie is looking so baaad 😱 I hope she will be okay and I definitely need to be more careful when watering 😥 Day 13: 16/04/2021 💧 No pics but watered them with 1.5ml of BioGrow in 1.5L of water. Day 14: 17/04/2021 Wooow Ally is growing so fast, she’s gonna need training soon! Carrie is also looking super amazing and healthy. Dory is also showing some new leaves on the stem

Week 3 Day 15: 18/04/2021 No time to take pics Day 16: 19/04/2021 💧 Today was a big day for A and C because I've started them with LST! They look quite small but they are already growing loads of new leaves in the stem so I want to open them up, especially since these girls are gonna be quite bushy. The other girls will need a few more days to start training but will also start them quite early. I also watered the girls today and gave them 1.5L with a mix of 5ml of neem oil and 1.5ml of BioGrow. I'll keep adding the neem oil just to be sure the flies won't come back. Day 17: 20/04/2021 Tightened up both A and C today so more new growth can be exposed! I think I will start training with the other girls tomorrow because I already saw pistils on C today! Autos always go so quick so I was considering topping them but since there are some problems with the leaves that I'm not too sure about, I'm gonna leave these girls be and only do LST. Day 18: 21/04/2021 Started training B and D today and adjusted the training on A and C. The idea will be to try go in a spiral shape and spread out the buds sites as much as possible so they get light early and start growing at the same time. Shame that these girls are quite bushy so it's difficult to separate the leaves without defoliating... Also I'm seeing more pistils which means they will be in flower soon! Day 19: 22/04/2021 Tightened up the training on the girls today. Shame that all the leaves are lying on the ground but they are just so bushy! Although it looks quite promising :) Day 20: 23/04/2021 The girls are all looking better and better with this training. I'm trying to be more meticulous and separate every single bud site as early as possible to make sure they all grow evenly. Also they are showing some beautiful purple already so can't wait to see them in full flower! I also wanted to water them today but the soil was still slightly moist so I'll water tomorrow. These girls don't seem to be needing much water, maybe because they are quite small. Day 21: 24/04/2021 💧 Watered the girls today, although I must admit it was difficult since most of the leaves are on the ground. I lifted them up and wiped off as much water as I could so hopefully it doesn't fuck up the leaves. Gave them 1.5ml of BioGrow and will start with flower nutrients from the next watering. There are also still some flies now and then... I didn't add the neem oil to the watering but I will spray their leaves tomorrow before lights out

Week 4 Day 22 | 25/04/2021: Was gonna train the girls a bit more but they actually look good Day 23 | 26/04/2021: No time to take pics today Day 24 | 27/04/2021: Holy shit, so I didn't look at the girls yesterday and was thinking 'eh it's cool they can't grow that much in just a day without training adjustment'... When I saw them today, Billie and Dory were huuuge and their stems and leaves seem to be spreading out more compared to how bushy Ally and Carrie are... Actually my partner is training Billie and Dory so maybe the way he started was better than my way... 🤔 Either way, really curious to see how they turn out Day 25 | 28/04/2021 💧: Did more training on the girls today, but mostly Billie and Dory, they are much more bendy still Also watered them with 1.5L water and 1.5ml BioGrow each. I would consider them to be in flower but I still want them to grow more so probably gonna refrain from adding BioBlom until next week Also the buds on Ally and Carrie are soo purple already 😍 Day 26 | 29/04/2021: Didn't have much time to take pictures but quickly snapped a pic of Carrie's main bud 😍 Day 27 | 30/04/2021: The buds on Carrie loom insaaaaanely beautiful 😍 they are tiny clusters of deep purple and it just looks so good. Ally is also looking beautiful so can't wait for all of the girls to start growing their buds Day 28 | 01/05/2021💧: Tightened up Billie and Dory again and they look so complex and swirled, this should definitely help them produce bigger buds bit we'll see. Still keeping the watering to 1.5ml of BioGrow but will definitely start with BioBloom from the next watering as well so they can grow big buds

Week 5 Day 29 | 02/05/2021: Wooow these colours on Ally and Carrie are incredible, turning into a darker purple and already smelling quite sweet! 💮 Day 30 | 03/05/2021: Girls looking good, just topped up the humidifier with more water and didn't really do anything else. Was thinking of tightening up Billie on the new stems that are just shooting up (!) but decided to let her grow Day 31 | 04/05/2021💧: The girls are looking great today 👌 removed some of the dead leaves from the very bottom but mostly kept them as they are. I noticed there are still a fly or two now and then so I've added some neem oil to the watering again. And from now on I'll also be adding BioBloom to help them in the flowering weeks 💪 Day 32 | 05/05/2021: Girls are looking great and Billie is so tall! Day 33 | 06/05/2021: Wow Billie is reaching for the sun so much I've had to lift the lamp higher 😂 I think all the girls are looking great and Ally + Carrie are truly representing their name with those dark devil buds and leaves 😈 Day 34 | 07/05/2021: No time to take pics today Day 35 | 08/05/2021: I’d say it was a pretty good week, all the girls are in full flower and looking great! Wanted to water today but soil was still moist, probably because of the humidifier. The humidity has been at around 50% so might be time to turn it off soon!

Week 6 Day 36 | 09/05/2021💧: Watered the girls today with 1.5ml BioGrow, now 3ml of BioBloom, and 1.5ml of TopMax for 1.5L of water. Also Carrie had some buds that were not flowering at the very button which I just cut off so she can focus on the main buds. Day 37 | 10/05/2021: Damn, some stems on the girls are getting pretty tall. They are just reaching for the sun 🌞 Day 38 | 11/05/2021: No time to take pics today Day 39 | 12/05/2021: The girls are looking great 👌and they smell soooo good. Very fruity and kinda nutty actually! Day 40 | 13/05/2021💧: Watered the girls today with the usual 1.5ml BioGrow, 3ml of BioBloom, and 1.5ml of TopMax Day 41 | 14/05/2021: No time to take pics today Day 42 | 15/05/2021: Girls are looking good at the end of the week although maybe Billie is looking a bit skinny since the buds are very small. Hopefully TopMax will help thicken them up

Week 7 Day 43 | 16/05/2021: No time to look at the girls today Day 44 | 17/05/2021: When checking the girls today I noticed that some leaves on the top are bent in a weird way. And I remembered reading about 'claw leaves'. Turns out they might be having nitrogen toxicity! I'm gonna read more about it tomorrow so I can water tomorrow with adjusted nutrients Day 45 | 18/05/2021💧: So from what I have found online, those curling leaves definitely looks like nitrogen toxicity… I don’t think it’s fixable at this stage but I will definitely stop giving them BioGrow anyway since BioBloom already has some nitrogen. So today I gave them just 3ml of BioBloom and 1.5ml of TopMax and we’ll see how they are in at the next watering Day 46 | 19/05/2021: I’ve noticed that quite a lot of them are getting yellowing leaves which is a bit confusing to me because doesn’t yellowing leaves mean lack of nitrogen? But then the leaves are curling which looks like nitrogen toxicity??? I checked the pH for them and they were all between 6.3 and 6.6 so I don’t think there are any nutrient uptake issues… So weird Day 47 | 20/05/2021: No time to look at the girls Day 48 | 21/05/2021: No time to look at the girls Day 49 | 22/05/2021💧: I am noticing the curling leaves a lot more now so I will keep not giving BioGrow for the rest of the grow I think. But at least the buds look and smell beautiful! I also watered today with the same 3ml of BioBloom and 1.5ml of TopMax as last time.

Week 8 Day 50 | 23/05/2021: No time to take pics Day 51 | 24/05/2021: No time to take pics Day 52 | 25/05/2021💧: I wonder if this will affect their taste but the nitrogen toxicity is very apparent now and I don’t think I am able to fix it. Either way, watered them today with the same nutrients as last time – 3ml of BioBloom and 1.5ml of TopMax Day 53 | 26/05/2021: No time to take pics Day 54 | 27/05/2021: Not many changes with the girls but wanted to check on them today to see how they’re doing. Yellow leaves everywhere 😅 Day 55 | 28/05/2021: No time to take pics Day 56 | 29/05/2021💧: The buds don’t seem to be increasing in size much from the previous weeks :/ So today when I was watering them I gave them 3ml of TopMax and 3ml of BioBloom to maybe help them get a bit thicker. The purple buds are nice and the trichomes look good as well so I hope these issues don’t affect them too much in the end

Week 9 Day 57 | 30/05/2021: No time to take pics Day 58 | 31/05/2021: No time to take pics Day 59 | 01/06/2021💧: Yeah it definitely seems like the effects of the nitrogen toxicity are getting worse… and the girls look a bit sad overall. I don’t really know what to do at this point, I just hope this doesn’t affect the buds too much. I just watered them with the same 3ml of TopMax and 3ml of BioBloom as last time Day 60 | 02/06/2021: No time to take pics Day 61 | 03/06/2021: No time to take pics Day 62 | 04/06/2021: I’m just sad that they look sad 😭 Day 63 | 05/06/2021💧: Just watered them today with the same 3ml of BioBloom and 3ml of TopMax. At least the trichomes are looking good. I think they are ready to start flushing in a week or two

Week 10 Day 64 | 06/06/2021: No time to take pics Day 65 | 07/06/2021: No time to take pics Day 66 | 08/06/2021: No time to take pics Day 67 | 09/06/2021: I've decided I'm gonna start flushing the girls today because I think they should be done in about 2 weeks. Except for this watering I will still add 6ml of TopMax to give the last push for the buds but I think they are really not liking the nutrients but I honestly can't tell if it's too much or too little. Day 68 | 10/06/2021: No time to take pics Day 69 | 11/06/2021: No time to take pics Day 70 | 12/06/2021: Watered the girls today with just 1.5L of plain water, they are in the first week of the flush. I also looked at their trichomes and they are still clear so I might give these girls an extra 2 weeks to mature 🌺

Week 11 Day 71 | 13/06/2021: No time to take pics Day 72 | 14/06/2021: They look okay but most of the leaves are very crispy and the buds look a bit thin and wispy.. I know they aren’t supposed to be like this so I definitely fucked up with the nutrients Day 73 | 15/06/2021💧: Watered the girls today with just 1.5L of plain water, they are in their 2nd week of the flush now Day 74 | 16/06/2021: I tried to take some close-ups of the trichomes and I’m actually quite curious to try them, the trichomes are definitely looking more amber now so they should be ready maybe end of next week! Day 75 | 17/06/2021: No time to take pics Day 76 | 18/06/2021: No time to take pics Day 77 | 19/06/2021💧: Watered the girls today with just 1.5L of plain water. I really love their colour, it’s such a deep purple. The trichomes are looking more amber as well so I definitely think next week will be the last one!

Week 12 Day 78 | 20/06/2021: I think yesterday would be their last watering and I will do the harvest at some point at the end of the week because they are looking pretty ready 👌and I don’t think the buds are gonna get any bigger anyway 😅 Didn’t have time to take pictures this week but it’s all pretty much the same sight Day 83 | 25/06/2021: So today is harvest day finally! I just do my normal process – I like to dry them with the fan leaves on because otherwise my tent is very dry and the buds end up smelling like hay. Although these girls have very dry leaves to begin with so idk how much it will help 😄 Now time to let these girls dry for the next week or so 🌿

I think there was a lot of user error on my part with this strain, the girls had a lot of nutrient problems and I think the bud size suffered a lot from that. It definitely didn't produce as much as I expected or seen from other growers, so I don't think it's the strain to blame. Still turned out nice in the end! 🌸
