I had a bag of seeds collected from different strains for practicing but for my first real grow with proper lighting and nutrients, this one went straight from the bud to the soil and had a humidity dome placed on top for about 3 days.

The first week out of soil was a pretty exciting one with new growth starting to form and the plant getting its first dose of nutrients. I've popped many seeds in the past but this is my first REAL grow that is producing and overall has made me eager to continue to pursue growing as a passion.

Second week strong with some nice condensed growth and taking up nutrients really well with no signs of disease or sickness.

Week 4 and the leaves are getting massive, showing signs of being indica dominant and the compact growth is just mesmerizing. I repotted into a larger container and when doing so I gently planted everything past ~2cm below the first set of leaves to keep the plant from getting too leggy with no lower growth and to hopefully get a larger established root system off of the previous stalk.

Week 5 and showing pistils so it's clearly a female. A hermaphrodite in the same tent had to be cut out as well giving me more time to focus on this one with some bonsai techniques. When the lights turn off for the night there's a faint smell of fresh plants but no smell of bud yet. This seed was collected from an ounce purchased at a dispo so the particulars of the genetics are unknown but my hopes are high that this will be a high THC yield.

Week 6 and bud growth is looking rather small but hopes are up that the plant will produce highly. When the lights turn off for the night there's a faint smell of fresh plants but no smell of bud yet. I'm also very excited for harvest to get a real look at the stem growth and shaping.

Week 7 is starting off and the main cola is starting to gain some height as well as trichome production is in total overdrive. I'm currently unsure if I should defoliate more and get rid of some of the larger leaves at the main cola site. Update- 5/5 stem rubs are having a nice earthy punch with some gas overtones

Week 8 and the flowers are starting to put off a weak bud smell and the trichomes are showing up like wildfire. I'm still waiting for more hairs to start turning orange before flush. Update: 5/13 and there's orange hairs popping up what feels like every time I look at the plant. According to the General Hydroponics feed chart, I still have about 2 more weeks before flush but I plan to continue to inspect terpene development incase I need to flush sooner.

Cha Ching - Fox Farm

The buds are getting so big and every time I look at them I find it hard to believe that I grew it. I also picked up some Cha Ching to use as a finisher and I should be starting flush in the next week or so.
