Northern_Ent May 19: cold last night at 0 C. Plants were covered and seem okay. Foliar spray at 11 am. Outside plant is now smaller than the inside plant so the cold conditions are definitely affecting growth. Hopefully it warms up soon.
Nice tasting indica which is good when you’re into a bit of ‘couch lock’.

Northern_Ent Plant was dwarfed by cold weather in mid-May along with several other research plants. She was able to handle the later heat waves with no obvious problems. Dry weight is an estimate as all plant material has gone for use as hash.
@Charlesberg, thanks. I’m doing an organic grow and I won’t be doing a flush. I know Fast Buds always recommends it, but I’ve seen others, including a peer reviewed science paper, saying it’s not needed. I will stop any nutrients about now and harvest will be in about a week. I’m trying to wait for some amber trichomes but I find they are slow to form for some reason. Might be because it’s outdoor and the sunlight isn’t super strong this far North. Thanks and cheers.
@Northern_Ent, we have had really scorching weather this week. In the 37 degrees celsius range.... Have had to give it a bit more shade to protect it from burning. Outdoor grows can be challenging!
@weedzilla, crazy hot for too long. I’m doing some shade but I can’t move plants out of the designated grow area so my options are limited. I have hail nets that I spray and the water evaporation cools things off (swamp cooler). Some plants show stress but pretty minimal damage so far. Kelp seems to help.
Supposed to hit 37 C today but “only” 30 C tomorrow.
