I plan to top the 5th node to show the sex of the plants. In the picture is Cosmos (on left) and Gobbstopper (on the right.) 2 of the Cosmos really took off and Gobbstopper is growing at a normal rate.
I topped the plants on the 5th node. Usually if I top the 5th node it shows sex, it's either being slow or not going to work. I think it's just being slow to show sex. When I get rid of the males I am going to start grow double grape by Mephisto genetics. I'm trying to stay legal so that means I'm only trying to have 6 plants at a time.
I topped the 5th node. Topping the the 5th node forces the plant to show it's sex. When I topped this pheno, 3 tops started growing. It is a confirmed female popped from seed.
I topped the plant at the 5th node, 3 tops grew. Topping the 5th node shows sex. This is my only female out of the 3 Gobbstopper seeds I popped. Stem rub has a nice, grape nose to it.
I'm overall satisfied with this plant. The buds look and smell great. The buds smell like grapes. The nodes are close together, which I like. The stretch wasn't very big either. I'll try to find time to update my skystomper, double grape and pineapple tonic soon. Thanks for looking.
trip reports? I don't trip on cannabis, I medicate. This whole grow diary thing kind of boring, that's why I rarely update. Gobbstopper is high THC with 1-3% CBD. I find it helpful with my ulcerative colitis.
do you plan to cut off the 5th node and root it? Or were you waiting till there were 6-7 and cutting off at the 5th? I was thinking of trying this on my next regular seed grow.
@TheMachinist, top the 5th node and your plant will show it's sex. Don't wait until the 6th or 7th node grows, I think that's what you're asking, I hope I answered it ok. and sorry for the late response.
