Took 4 days to pop up from the soil. I had no issues with this seed but I did have a seedling get to about a week old and die on me for no apparent reason, so this is round 2.
Got off to a good start, first true leaves have a little twist but could just be genetics as she is otherwise completely healthy. Giving her water every 5 or 6 days and only small amounts for the time being, big pot little seedling.
Another steady week, no major issues. Bit of drooping yesterday as I think I may be watering too often... gonna go back to a wet dry cycle rather than trying to maintain a moist soil.
Started training her now as she's strong enough to take it, will continue this through veg and stretch. All going well, just top dressed with both the grow and bloom dry amendments and some malted barley powder for enzymes.
Another pretty simple week, just watering when dry every 2 to 3 days roughly. Temps a bit warmer this week but she seems happy... pre flower stretch is under way, so she has shot up 6 inches or so in a week. Training regularly now, every other day or so, adjusting/adding ties and spreading out the canopy. Loving how easy this one had been and let's hope she continues well through flower 🤞
Stretch has continued nicely and the plant will have almost tripled in size once its finished... very happy with my lst this time around, managed to shape a nice plant and this should see me well on final yield all being well. No signs of hunger, if anything the soil is very close to being too hot as there are some leaves twisting on the tips, she's handling it fine tho. Watering every other day now and giving about 3 litres each time with no runoff. Trimmed up the lower stuff which is just wasting energy but only very lightly. See ya next week
Another easy week, had to re tie down the branches as a few tops had stretched right up and needed levelling. Spread out the canopy a bit more and removed a couple leaves at the bottom which weren't getting any light and fading. All super green and healthy and some nice smells coming from the tent every day now. Watering every 36 hours and just top dressed ready for mid flower... buds are starting to stack up and the pistils are huge which makes me think it's gonna produce some fair sized flowers. Fun times, see ya next week 🤘🤘
All good still... little bit of leaf tip burn here and there but no signs of any issues. Lower leaves not getting any light had started to fade but nothing else so I've removed them and used as mulch. Flowers really building now, looking more full than last week. Pretty much cruise control other than the high temps I'm dealing with, but she isn't bothered by it, been using an evaporative cooler so it helps but it's not perfect. Gave a dose of biosys to help with any stress and boost the biology in the soil a bit.
Ok so we have a definite deficiency... think it's magnesium and nitrogen so I've added epsom salts and gave a light feed of bio bizz to try and get that healthy dark green colour back. Not sure what's happened but it seems as soon as I drop the grow formula dry amendments, everything goes to shit... same thing happened last time so I won't be using the bloom alone again. There is an auto version just been brought out from living soils, so I'll use them next time round. Buds are getting huge now despite the issues, overall its not been a bad week just having a few issues. Hopefully I'll get on top of them soon and all will return to normal.
The yellowing continues.... not the end of the world, I'm sure she will make it to the end either way. Made up a simple aact with a cup of worm castings and a tablespoon of molasses in 4 litres of water. Its slowed the yellowing but not stopped it. Gonna top dress with bat guano tomorrow and this will be the last feed... probs gonna be finished in 2 to 3 weeks so I'm not concerned as the flowers look great and haven't shown any signs that they have been affected. As you can see in the photos, she is packing on weight so all is still good... see ya next week!
Not bad this week, plant surviving but she is starting to really colour now and I don't think there is much I can do to stop her fading. Gave a heavy dose of biobizz to get some quick food in there but gave water the next time round, so I'll give one more dose in a couple days and I think that will do. I'm estimating she has around 2 weeks left, I am seeing a touch of foxtailing as I've had a few days at high temps but the pistils are still mainly pointy so she's got a bit left yet.
More of the same so not much to report... think the biobizz is helping pull her through but I been rough these last few weeks. Had temps reach 34c some days so im struggling to keep that down, I can usually get it down to 30c when it's like this but even that is too hot right now. This is only for a few hours of the day though so it's not all the time. Not long now
Much better looking now, bio bizz to the rescue... again 😂 So close but she doesn't want to finish apparently... trying to be patient but it's hard work this waiting malarkey! I think I'll give her one more week and pull her next weekend if the trichomes look good. Temps have been more steady so its been easier to manage the stress. All in all its been an easy week, only giving water again now as I know its nearly there.
Not much to report, just waiting to finish still. Calyxes are swelling still so we go another week I think. Trichomes still have some glassy kicking about and also the amber's are only really on the older sugar leaves not the bud. Just watering every 2 1/2 days roughly.
Finally got there! Just pulled her yesterday as there was quite a bit of amber showing... took her out the attic as temps are just brutal at the minute and I can't dry in 40c it's just gonna kill all my hard work. So I've hung in a large box with passive air flow. It's sitting between 60 and 65% humidity which is spot on, however temps are between 25 and 28 so not ideal on that front but it's the best I can do. Most likely gonna be done in a week but thats fine by me.... I'll update the harvest once everything is trimmed and I've sampled her. I took a sampler from 8 or 9 days ago which is half decent but airy. Smokes nice tho so I'm looking forwards to trying the fully finished stuff cos this gets you pretty baked already. See ya soon with the update 🤘
Very nice smoke, left her longer than most and I think this was a great idea as it's more balanced rather than being really energetic or really couchlock... Nice blend of the two. Very strong and definitely high in thc, really enjoying the smoke. Was fairly easy to grow but I did have some niggles along the way.
Really happy with the yield and the smoke is gorgeous, however not all the buds were as dense as I'm used to, fox tailing didn't help that... but that being said, it's dense enough and very little stalk when grinding it up is a good bonus. 177 grams from one auto is impressive and I did take a couple samples as it was getting closer to chop time. Haven't had time to take decent photos of the harvest but I may do at some point. All in all she was pretty resilient and produced so much more than I was expecting.
@Qutro, thanks man appreciate it! I started off with dry amendments from a company called living soils but had some deficiency in mid flower, so I gave a few heavy doses of biobizz over a week to pull her through. Basically what they recommend on the schedule for light mix.
