Noobs Hydro 1st Grow

I made a DIY drain to waste system form parts I had lying around. I decided to go for Canna Coco coir plus medium as I read in doesnt need buffering ( which I had no idea about before ) For some reason Im struggling to keep the PH down. I have an 8 gallon tank, and air stone Still early days and things look ok, I think I made my nutes up far too strong, I followed the instructions on the bottle, but after reading info from this forum it seem s clear I need to increase as the plant grows.

Plant are coming on ok. Im using a Shed load of PH down every morning PH levels are raising 2 points. Nutes tank is cloudy after 2 days. I posted a question and was advised to remove the air stone, which I have. PH is more stable but still rises, less than before but and has to be adjusted every day. PH in the tank is 5.8. Run off is 7.5 WTF ?? Leaves look a little pale Hope i havent cocked this up.. Ive ordered a filter and am going to try Reverse osmosis water, Ive also heard that the Rhiizo increases the PH so Im thinking I may drop this in the next mix and use A and B only.

So I dropped the Rhyzo from my nutrient mix and bought a cheap RO water filter,, what a difference, the PH is now spot on when adding Canna A , B and the calmag and is not rising nearly of much over a few days. The reservoir is clear no more murky water. Plants look ok too,, BONUS ! Im going to have a first go at LST this week.

Ive had my first go a LST, from what I understand its about getting all the bud sites growing vertical. My leaves are very low, hope thats ok, and its all a bit twisted, but I think its going ok. Would welcome any advice. Im going to continue with the Lst until the plants start to flower

Certainly bushing out and more bud sites are appearing. The Northern Lights auto is maturing a little quicker than the two Candy Kush The LST continues Pipe cleaner are a must and make it so much easier than string or garden wire.

Lots of new growth and stretching out

Flowering has just started on the Northern lights and both of Candys. Getting bigger than I had expected, seem to growing at the same speed as last years soil grow but are much bigger and healthier looking. Both the Candys have grown bigger than the Northern Lights, The Northern lights is maturing quicker.

Sretching out nicely. Found a few thrips on the underside of the leaves which rather annoying so Im keeping an eye on the leaves and spraying with water and a little soap to try and keep them at bay. Water schedule is a problem I have DIY auto drip drain to waste system and I seem to be using a shed load of water to get run off and loads of nutrient.

Continued Stretching. Added a little Canna Boost One of the Candys is so big I had to move it on to the floor. Im hoping its reached full stretch as Im running out of room. Finished with the LST and now letting them do there thing

Had a little powder mould on the leaves, weathers been crap here with a lot of rain. Cleaned them and need to keep on top of any potential problem. The girls are getting BIG, northern lights has finished growing and buds are thickening. The candy Kush seem to be a couple of weeks behind. Still watering loads to get a run off. Not sure if my schedule is right as I seem to burning through the nutrient bottle quick. Im going for a daily run off.
