APRIL 29-MAY 6. Dropped 3 seeds into distilled water at room temp with a pH of 5.8 for 12 hours left in the dark. After 12 hours they all sunk and were transferred to a paper towel in pyrex bowl on heat mat @ ~77 degrees & humidity @ ~90% continued in darkness to finish germinating. 12 hours later each seed sprouted a tap root. I waited too long..8 hours later went to transfer to Rockwool and the tap root doubled in size making it sightly harder to get in but it worked out. Rockwool soaked in distilled water with a pH of 3-4 for several hours. Once they are in the Rockwool and in the dome they receive 200-300 uMols, 24 inches from light, with an 18/6 schedule, still @ ~77 degrees and humidity ~90%. Within 12 hours of being under light they sprouted :) ZERO NUTES this week, continued with distilled water @ 5.8 pH.
DISTILLED WATER @ 5.8 pH, 2 plants have nice roots coming in, the little plant hasn't showed roots yet. May 11th was first dose of nutes. Towards end of the week all three ladies had roots showing. 77 degrees, ~65% RH during the day, 65-69 degrees @ night.
Noticed some light brown spots towards the edges of the leaves of 2 plants. Changed out their water with less nutes, keeping pH between 5.8-6.1. Using well water with a ppm around 105-110. 3 gals of water in bucket. After adding nutes ppm is around 230-240. Before changing their nutes the ppm was over 300. Hoping the nute change will help.
Two of the three started looking nice, the other one hermied for some reason. Separated it from the others and just for fun going to keep it going. Perhaps harvest some of its seeds?
Smelling great and looking pretty frosty. Someone be real, and tell me if the Hermie is even worth using the energy for at this point. When do y'all think it will be ready?
Sugar leaves are pointing down on one plant perhaps wind burn from being too close to the fan. Starting to see quite a few orange hairs on some colas...thinking its almost time to harvest? To flush or not to flush yet?
Not the chunkiest of buds but I'm just glad I grew something. Taking what I learned and hopefully next round will be better. Drying @ 65-68 degrees with 55-58 % humidity for a week or so. Will update when cured & ready to smoke.
