This grow has lasted much longer than expected and I suspect it's because I went with a 24/0 light schedule. That being said, I am on month 5 and still flowering. I need all the feedback I can get to complete my first grow.
Q: How do these nugs look? I have no reference other than what I've seen online; some auto's have HUGE colas where others look starved.
All feedback is appreciated. Thanks!
Afghan Auto showing fall colors. One week of reverse osmosis flush. Ready for harvest!
Grown 100% hydroponic and ran into a few issues with nutrient burn and Calcium-Magnesium deficiency and bucket size. All of which were resolved. The plant went into shock for a week but recovered nicely.
24/0 light cycle for autos was a mistake, I think. Seed was germinated in January and I expected to harvest in March. It's now Mid May and the plants flowered for 6 weeks after being in veg for almost 5 full months. Next time I will stick to and 18/6 cycle.
Grown indoors with a Mars Hydro 400W LED light. 5 gallon bucket and a bubbler with General Hydroponic Flora Series nutrients and CaliMagic Calcium-Magnesium supplement. ph Balanced using General Hydroponics ph UP and ph DOWN.
I've tried many times but this is my first successful grow. Any and all feedback is appreciated.
Trimmed and drying. I will update the dry weight right before they go into the jars for curing. I'm pleased with the yield for 1 autoflower.
Total Wet Weight is 318.91g / 11.389oz.
Great job! About the 24/0 schedule, i also grew my first glue gelato auto (harvested 5 days ago) under 24 hour light, half of which was sunlight as i have access to direct sun all day at my balcony. Mine also started flowering at abt 4 weeks ,and flowering lasted another 6 (half of the plant is still flowering,as i harvested only the top colas and branches who were more mature, the lower ones are taking a bit more time).
But in all i think autos are fine with 24/0 ,if you dont have electicity bill issues.
Again ,great result,i d like to hear your opinion on the high it gives (i m looking for ideas for my next grow).
Happy smoking (or whatever you do with it)
@@otinanai, Thanks for the feedback! Great to hear from another 24/0 farmer! They are drying slowly right now on a rack in a small 2x2x3 tent and should be ready to jar in a week. Testing will probably be in 2 weeks & I will send you an update. Following your Glue Gelato grow too. That sounds like an amazing combo!
