Samokrutovvv Well, it's time to test out the new strain in the harsh Siberian outdoors at 59 degrees latitude... I plan to plant it in early June, depending on the weather, so it will be sown in a liter cup to allow for some maneuvering if needed...

Samokrutovvv I couldn't watch the plant suffer anymore, so I decided to plant it in the ground... Since the soil wasn't warmed up, I placed insulation around the edges, which I'll remove later when conditions are favorable. The hole is filled with compost, and it took 12 liters. I temporarily set up a cover so the bush can settle in well without any issues. Latitude 59 in Siberia is equivalent to areas in the far north - I have to make do... The outdoor crew was just sent for germination yesterday.

Samokrutovvv Here I am at the bush... over the past time, the weather has changed from 10 to 30 degrees heat and back, today for example, it's blowing from the north and it seems sunny but only 14 degrees... The bush has grown to 40 cm and the first signs of flowering have appeared, I think it should still stretch in height. In short, we'll keep watching...

Samokrutovvv Day 53. Taking my time to prepare for flowering. In 10 days, it has grown to 58 cm, and the side branches have started to stretch. Right now, I can't decide whether to bend the bush; I can basically not worry until it reaches 1 m in height... On the other hand, bending it will make the side branches shoot out, which is also good... In short, I'm still thinking about it, and I'm planning to go away soon for 2 weeks, so there won't be anyone to manipulate the ties...

Samokrutovvv During my absence, the bush has grown twice as tall and is now 123 cm high. My first impressions of what I saw – it's very bushy, but I'm afraid it won't fit within the expected timeline... It's preparing for flowering very, very slowly, and with this progress, the peak will hit during the most awful weather. In September, we usually start getting heavy rains, and at night it’s already below 10 degrees... Let's hope for a good autumn, otherwise this strain won't mature in Siberia. I watered it today with a pre-flowering solution; maybe it will speed up a bit...

Samokrutovvv 5 days ago - I bent the top layer since the height reached about 1.5 meters and it became unsafe, the results are in the photo. I'm watering with a flowering solution... And as you can see, the flowering is just starting to show. It's too early to say anything, I really don't understand what I'm growing - it's a very raw and underdeveloped strain...

Samokrutovvv The flowering continues, over the past 2 weeks the daytime temperature has dropped to 15-20, and nighttime to 6-10 degrees. So far, it’s holding on and slowly increasing, it has exceeded the time stated by the manufacturer... We’ll see how resilient the plant is.

Samokrutovvv Today is the first frost, and there's no point in keeping the bush any longer... The result of almost 5 months of growth is in the photo; a tree has grown, but it couldn't gain mass... My verdict - an underdeveloped strain, good growth potential but doesn't switch to flowering as the producer wanted... I won't experiment more with early flowers and super autos; in northern conditions, it's a waste of time! But I won't be upset - after drying, we'll turn it into something culinary.

Long journey @Samokrutovvv

@Ferenc, very long... It will grow until the mold starts or until the "white flies" - in short, it depends on the weather.

Good day, why did it take so long to flower?
Samokrutovvv
Samokrutovvv commented5y ago
@YuriiVetrov, Greetings, yeah it seems a bit underdeveloped... The potential is good - it grew up to 1.5m. I bent the stem at around 80cm. By the time it started flowering, it grew back to 1.5m. The buds will be on all branches from the base. But I live in northern Siberia and the weather, even with the most favorable forecasts, is a maximum until mid-September... Starting next week, they’re predicting 10-8 degrees at night... It’s unrealistic for it to take 4 months, as the producer claimed. Here, someone didn’t even flower in 20 weeks, so they pulled it out - check the reports.

@Samokrutovvv, thanks, I didn't see that it's a photo plant, (not very experienced apparently) wishing you a successful grow. The weather here in Primorye isn't great either... I think I'll keep the autos going until the beginning of October, the nighttime temperature is already 10-13 degrees ((

@YuriiVetrov, no buddy - this is actually an auto, with the prefix "super"... It's like an auto with an extended veg period, should start flowering automatically in about 2 months and be ready in 4... But as they say - something went wrong 😂😂😂

@Samokrutovvv, got it, thanks, now I’ll know.
