To germinate I find that it works best for me to soak the seeds first in a little RO water mixed with Hydrogen Peroxide overnight and then put them in between moist paper towels in a tupperware container. I place the container in a kitchen cabinet and wait for them to crack open. In this case the whole process took just 2 days or within a 48 hour period. Sprouting under T5 light in grow box, as you can see they are just pushing through and should be shedding their casings and showing those cotyledons tomorrow. As I update my diaries on Sundays it's just more convenient to start this one today.
Anyhow I plan on running these girls in my germination box their whole life. I just want to see what exactly my little set up can do, if anything. For the whole time I will only be using the 4 inch pots as well. Seeds were freebies from Seedsman.
They are finally here!!! Sad to say that one of them didn't make it to see the light😩 This was the first time that I have ever seen a seedling suffocate itself. The seed casing got stuck as the tap kept growing, to the point that it was very narrow near the top where the cotyledons were trying to break free. I tried to save her but needless to say I have two that made it and I am thankful for that🙏 I have added a living mulch layer that I am honestly fascinated with and plan to grow it in my germ bin continually with basil for perpetual use. Oh and after reconsideration I will be growing these girls as normal instead of the micro grow I was planning to, I will just have to find another strain😀 As usual Happy Growing and Good Harvesting💪
Week 3 of veg and Pheno 1 is still taking off and leaving her sister behind. So for the purpose of this diary I will continue on, only focusing on Pheno 1. Pheno 2 will be growing behind the scenes where she can take her time and mature into the very special lady that I feel she is. Anyhow, I cannot complain about Pheno 1, yeah there is some stretching but I will take care of that as soon as her super soil has finished cooking and her 3 gallon home is ready for her. I am planning on sending her straight to the flower room after transplant just out of curiosity for this cultivar. Anyways, Thank You All for stopping by and showing some love👊
